Everything is bigger in Texas– especially temptation. For attorney and Texas Cattleman’s Club member Roarke Perry, Annabel Currin is about as forbidden as it gets. A just-jilted bride, gorgeously sexy, tender-hearted…and the daughter of his father’s nemesis. The sexual currents crackling between him and his client should have been warning enough. Now they’re both playing with fire. And … with fire. And someone’s gonna get burned…

This book was such an enjoyable read. Even though I started the series in the middle I didn’t feel lost or confused as I read. I like the main characters Roarke and Annabel and the whole forbidden love aspect. They have good chemistry and I loved the banter between the couple as well. I enjoyed reading about the secondary characters as well. The mystery aspect of the story kept me intrigued and I can’t wait to see how this all plays out. Reese Ryan has become one of my go to authors and I have enjoyed so many of her books past and present. Can we talk about that gorgeous cover as well? But anyway if you pick up this book you won’t be disappointed!

This is the first book I’ve read by Reese Ryan and it won’t be my last. I loved the passion and intensity between Annabel and Roarke. This book kept me turning the pages! Don’t miss this installment in the Texas Cattleman’s Club or any of Reese’s books, her writing is addictive!

Annabel and Roarke have instant attraction when they meet. But then they realize that their families are rivals. Can they make a relationship work with all the drama surrounding their families? Good continuation of a family drama in this series of books.

There is loads going on in this book so you are captivated from the start to see what is true as well as what isn’t and how the fall out from the truths will affect everyone. The fact that this isn’t just about Annabel and Roarke but also others within their family draws you further in and there is more than one couple and relationship on the line! This was a great read and can’t wait to read more in the series as well as by Reese Ryan.

Off Limits Lovers by Reese Ryan. This is Roark and Annabel story. Roark is back to defend his fatger. Annabel has just broken up with her fiancée. They see each other and it’s love at first sight. From the beginning they were attracted to each other but when they find out their fathers are enemies. I love this story, I live the characters. It’s good to see them overcome all the problems of the past and find love. Sometimes you just can’t let the one get away. The story drew me in and now I need to read the other books to see what I’m missing.

The sixth book in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Houston series. This is attorney and Texas Cattleman’s Club member Roarke Perry, and Annabel Currin’s story, their nicknames for each other are Two Pies and Lemon Ice which I thought was cute. I enjoyed reading this book and I want to read the next one. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Annabel has just had her wedding cancelled by her fiance due to his disapproval of her career choices. Roarke is in town for the first time in years to settle some family issues. From their first meeting, passion ignited between them but there was just one problem…Roarke’s father hated Annabel’s father. Eventually, Annabel hired Roarke to be her attorney after she decides to sue her ex-fiance but that didn’t stop the passion from exploding between them. Annabel knew what she wanted from the relationship but Roarke, due to past family issues, was running scared. However, love prevails. Ms. Ryan has written another great book which includes love as well as the mystery that is surrounding the Texas Cattleman’s Club which makes you want to read the rest of the series. I also loved the playfulness between the couple and their nicknames for each other from their first meeting. This is definitely a recommended book.
Enjoyable

I have to admit, that even though this is the first time I’ve ever read anything from this author.
I’ve enjoyed reading this book.

Annabel and Roarke meet and have a strong attraction but since their father’s are somewhat enemies they are off limits. This is a complicated story with two couple’s trying to find their way to having a relationship with someone that may or may not be accepted by their families and to top that off there is a ponzi scheme that needs to be tracked down.

This is the sixth book in the series but it is the first one I have read and I cannot wait to go get the rest of the series. I thought Annabel and Roark were great together they had super chemistry this was a good well-written book and I really would recommend it to all romance lovers I really enjoyed it
4 1/2 STARS!
Off Limits Lovers is a forbidden romance story between an attorney and a fashion vlogger who were taught to think of each other in disdain by their feuding mogul fathers. The plot is interwoven with several side stories that are on-going in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Houston series. I found the book to be very entertaining and satisfying. Some secrets are still left to be uncovered in the series, but we are getting closer to some answers!
Roarke Perry was particularly intriguing because his parentage is being gossiped about and he has to decide to what degree he wants to dig into it.
Annabel Currin has a lot more going for her than just her money as the daughter of a successful oil family. She’s sweet, she’s sassy, and she’s determined to make life better for others.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for family drama, secret scandals and scintillating romance! Really enjoying the Houston sub-series of the Texas Cattleman’s Club as a whole, and the individual books so far have all been delightful. Looking forward to more to come!
Another superb romance book written by Reese Ryan. I have yet to read a book by Reese that I did not enjoy; so keep them coming Reese.
Roarke and Annabel have their first encounter at Farrah’s Coffee Shop where they are both attracted to each other. Annabel orders Lemon Icebox pie and Roarke orders two pecan fudge pies. Annabel gives Roarke the pet name two pies and he in turn gives her the pet name lemon ice.
Annabel even though she is a jilted bride she’s in great spirits. Annabel is a vlogger and choose not to work for her father’s company Currin Oil but instead opts to helps the under privileged and she has plans to open up Fairy Godmother’s to help the cause.
Roarke is a lawyer and choose not to work for the family business Perry Holdings. He lives in Dallas and he’s serves the less fortunate and underdogs. He’s called back to his hometown by his older sister Angela to help their father Sterling who is being set up to take the fall in a Ponzi scheme.
Annabel and Roarke meet up again at a Texas Cattlemen’s benefit. Annabel’s father and Roarke’s father are not very fond of each because Roarke’s father seems to think that Annabel’s father had a affair with his wife and Roarke is the love child. Adding more fuel to the fire Roark’s older sister Angela is in love with the enemy Annabel’s father Ryder and Roarke who is Serling’s son is in love with his father’s arch enemies daughter. Talk about keeping it all in the family.
There is drama, romance and mystery which makes for a excellent read.
Even though I was given a ARC for a honest review I also purchased a copy of Off Limits Lovers.
Looking forward to reading the next book in the series “Texas-Sized Scandal” Melinda Perry who is a twin to Angela and Roarke’s older sister.
First off how did I miss this was part of a series? That must of just went right over my head, but I can actually say that this was so well written it could definitely be a standalone, but the book nerd in me is going to go back and read the first five books and finish the series.
Annabel and Roark are definitely Off Limits to each other due to their fathers but there is no way to tell your body or your heart that a person is off limits. The heart wants what it wants. Annabel is need of a lawyer and the handsome Roark just happens to be one so trying to keep away from each other will be even harder.
I enjoyed these characters and their storyline, I am hoping to learn more about the other characters in this story in the other books. As usual Reese did not disappoint.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
I have been a fan of Desire’s Texas Cattleman’s Club series for years and have always marveled at how different authors are able to piggyback on each other to write amazing stories that leave you wanting more. Reese Ryan exceeded my expectations in her latest novel “Off Limits Lovers”.
As with all Texas Cattleman’s Clubs series there is always a mystery to coincide with the storyline and the hero Roarke Perry family is in the center of it all. Attorney Roarke Perry returns home in amidst of a family scandal to attempt to clear his father’s name. In walks Annabel Currin the daughter of his father’s sworn enemy and it’s fireworks from the beginning. Annabel is off limits because she just recently broke up with her fiancé and she’s also Roarke’s client. Not only did Reese Ryan put a great spin on Roarke’s and Annabel’s story it’s also a secondary couple in the mix with a great storyline.
“Off Limits Lovers” is book #6 in Texas Cattleman’s Club: Houston and the first book that I’ve read in the series. I was able to follow both couples’ storyline and was satisfied with the ending. Reese Ryan put her foot in this novel and has me wanting to read the whole Texas Cattleman club: Houston series.
He’s a lawyer and she is a just jilted bride. By right they should have no contact what so ever especially since their families have been in a bitter feud since forever and she is his client! But their connection and feelings can’t be denied. This scorching romance will have you drinking in Roarke and fanning the flames of your desires because this is not a one read you will have to read this one again!

This was a lovely book love the characters and look forward to the next installment of Texas Cattlemans club.
With love, we can slay all the dragons.
This phrase explains everything about the hurdles that Ryder & Annabel must overcome….their families; past relationships, insecurities, jobs and living situations.
Ms. Ryan does a great job with this one.
Warring families, a father determined to destroy the man he believes stole his wife’s love, to lose his daughter to as well. A son that always felt alone and a spirited young woman doing what is right for her. A drama on the printed page, better than a soap opera, but definately allows the imagination to soar. The characters definitely draw you in, the drama is not gutrenching which is why I dont get into TV. Although the story doesnt quite have an ending it’s not a cliffhanger. I did enjoy the storyline and love affair between characters.
