Colin and Jihae fight the instant attraction between them, knowing a romantic entanglement could damage their business relationship. But when the craving becomes too strong, they convince themselves that a fling won’t hurt, as long as it’s discreet. Over time, they grow closer, even as the secrets between them threaten to tear them apart. How can love survive when the trust between them is destroyed?
This is an emotional story full of passion and intrigue. I enjoyed the characters and sympathized with Jihae’s family situation, how they tried to control her and use her as a pawn. It was nice to see her grow into her own power.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
Four and a half stars
Off Limits Attraction by Jayci Lee is the third in her Heirs of Hansol trilogy, and is about flying-under-the-media/family-radar businessman and aspiring movie producer Colin Song and the brilliant, beautiful Jihae Park, who carefully cultivates her ice princess facade in obedience to her family’s restrictions. Going public with their intense attraction would burn them both, but keeping their feelings under wraps is becoming more and more difficult.
Jayci Lee does a terrific job with this Desire–full of sweeping passion, complicated family dynamics, the need for secrecy, and of course, glamour and glitz!
Colin and Jihae both are all too familiar with hiding their truest selves, revealing to the public only what they choose to allow. It makes it all the sweeter as they slowly build trust and begin to let down their hair with each other, figuratively and literally.
This entire series has been thrilling to me as an Asian American reader. I especially loved seeing Jihae and Colin’s desires to balance their familial ties with their personal goals, and greatly appreciated how Jihae truly came into her own as not only Colin but she fully recognized her strengths, embraced her choices, and allowed herself to be vulnerable to the right people.
Jayci Lee has written a tremendous series in the Heirs of Hansol, and I look forward to more of her excellent storytelling to come!
Book 3 of Jayci Lee’s The Heirs of Hansol series brings back Jihae Park, the president of Rotelle Entertainment who, in Book 1, was promised in marriage to Garrett Song in the hopes that together, their Korean families could forge a massive business empire. If you read the first book, you’ll know that this didn’t happen, and their engagement ended when Garrett decided to marry for love instead.
Now Jihae is looking for independence from her family by making her own business decisions and taking on new ventures. Her latest project brings her into collaboration with Colin Song, Garrett’s cousin.
Colin is attracted to Jihae but he doesn’t entirely trust her. He fears, in retaliation for Garrett breaking his engagement to her, her family might have retaliated by sending an industrial spy into his family’s company. He can’t be sure of her and because she does not know of his connection to the Hansol empire, there is a lot of mistrust going around.
However, things get hot pretty quickly and there is no denying their growing attraction. Jihae can let her guard down with Colin and Colin can’t get enough of Jihae. However, Jihae knows her family won’t approve of Colin and Colin is trying to appease his grandmother by getting close to Jihae and discovering the identity of the spy. The fun for me was watching this couple untangle all their subterfuge to find a way to happiness.
This might be my favorite book of the series. I loved everything about the Heirs of Hansol, from the strong characters and the drama to the fantastic covers. I hope Lee doesn’t stop with this trilogy.

Colin and Jihae’s story in Off Limits Attraction by Jayci Lee, book three in the Heirs of Hansol series, is an emotional, wonderful, uplifting, workplace romance that can possibly cause interference with our heroine’s family duty. Ice princess Jihae Park is a façade, thought up by her parents to help keep their company competitive and financially successful; not the real her. She has been trying to figure out how to gain her independence and get out from her father’s control. Deciding to have her entertainment division join forces with a film company Jihae chooses film producer Colin Song’s company. The electricity sizzles when Jihae and Colin are in the same room. Having a fling could jeopardize Jihae’s chance at achieving her own success as well as the movie they are making together. Jihae tries as she might to resist Colin, her attraction to him, and his amazing skills in bed she is unable to end things. There are a few problems and obstacles affecting this fling ending successful; number one being that Colin hasn’t been totally truthful with Jihae. It just might take a miracle, an amazing movie, and family support in order for Colin and Jihae to get a chance at a picture-perfect ending
Ms. Lee wrote an emotional and searing story that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, personal growth, and supportive characters giving Colin and Jihae a chance at a forever love. I highly recommend Off Limits Attraction to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I’ve read this series since the beginning and I’m sad it’s coming to an end. Off Limits Attraction is the final book in the Heirs of Hansol series and its Colin and Jihae’s book. I loved these two so much. They both have similar upbringings and their chemistry was instant. I’m sad to see this family go, but I know Jayci has awesome things up her sleeve.
4.5 stars
Was anyone else anxiously waiting for Colin’s story?! I have been super curious about Colin since book one and I think he and Jihae were meant to be. The intimate conversations, their similar personalities, and fun hijinks made for an enjoyable read, but what I really loved was the way Lee pulled so many vulnerable emotions from these two. Colin and Jihae’s romance was a wonderful ending to a much loved trilogy!
I received an advance reader copy from Harlequin/Netgalley and this is my honest review.
