Camilla Collins hasn’t gone home in thirteen years. As much as she loves her family, their tiny hometown in the folds of the Colorado mountains holds too many memories. Memories of a life barely lived and a love barely realized. No matter how she thrives, AJ Jenkins is the man she compares all others too. He just so happens to be the one that broke her heart. Seeing him, seeing the life she might … might have had with him, has been a very convincing reason to celebrate the holidays in the Pacific Northwest, happy in the rain instead of the snow.
AJ Jenkins isn’t exactly bitter and frigid. It’s the below freezing temperatures, the knee deep snow, and the death of his chronically ill father dragging him down. That is until Cam Collins finally comes home for Christmas. After thirteen years, he’d almost given up on seeing her. And was incredibly happy about it. But thirteen is unlucky for a reason, and apparently that reason is still a klutzy, gorgeous, living memory determined to poke holes in his barely hanging on heart with death defying stilettos.

Of Smoke And Cinnamon just proves that Ace Gray is a talented and versatile writer. This second chance romance set around Christmas time gave me the warm fuzzies and smiles for days while reading it. AJ and Cam are two characters fighting for their chance and their individual internal dialogues are full of the poetic sweetness that I have come to love in Ace’s books. This story is the perfect holiday feel good book. Deep characters, smart writing, sugary heart eyes, a bit of angst, and hot steamy sex? Ummmm, yes please! 5 stars for Of Smoke And Cinnamon!
Having a reread of this lovely book by the talented Ms. Gray. Great holiday/winter read, with just the right amount of steamy.
So hot it will melt the coldest of winter chills. Nothing can compete with the chemistry that runs rampant between Cam and AJ, nothing can compete with how perfect they are for each other even as they are fighting it as hard as they can. These two are so perfectly everything you are looking for this holiday season.
Coming from a small town I can picture everything that she writes clearly but even if you didn’t you will wish you had. It will make you long for Home again to spend the holidays. Everything about this story is so perfect I couldn’t stop. A perfect book to curl up with a holiday drink and enjoy. I can’t get enough of this author and her range of writing, every new Release is a delightful surprise that I extremely look forward to.

Enough Heat to Melt the Snow! Wasn’t expecting this depth of sentiment from Gray, but darn if she didn’t nail it. The angsty slow burn, the delicious sexual tension, and the eccentric but pivotal side characters – those I did expect and I wasn’t disappointed.
Holiday themed books are not my usual reading choice, but if anyone can pull off a sexy, steamy yet elegant and heart-warming, second chance Christmas story, it’s Ace Gray. Her writing is impeccable – evocative and enticing, awakening all the senses in a seductive flow of images, scents, flavors and sounds. The characters are so relatable that there is an instant and undeniable magnetic force pulling the reader deeper into their world, providing that soft, cozy, velvety feeling of unconditional love despite the angst.
If you are looking for the perfect Christmas read then this is definitely it!
Looking for a sweet second chance at love holiday read, Of Smoke & Cinnamon is your penguin book without a doubt. I fell hard and fast for both Cam and AJ. Beautifully written and the entire story flowed at a pace that held my interest from the beginning until the very end. I love how we were given the POV of both Cam and AJ throughout the book, both characters are so down to earth and relatable that you feel as if you know them yourselves. I was absolutely swooning over AJ and all that this man does especially later on, this is a must read and even though it is told around the holidays I feel that you’d enjoy reading it all year round. Cannot wait for what’s to come in the future. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
