Archer Hamilton is a collector of rare and beautiful insects. Gina Shaw is a servant in his uncle’s house. Clearly out of place in the position in which she has been discovered, she becomes a source of fascination . . . and curiosity.A girl with a blighted past and a fortune she deems a curse, Gina has lowered herself in order to find escape from her family and their scheming designs. But when … But when she is found, the stakes suddenly become dire.
All Gina wants is the freedom to live her life as she would wish. All her aunts want is the money that comes with her. But there is more than one way to trap an insect. An arranged marriage might turn out profitable for more parties than one.
Mr. Hamilton is about to make the acquisition of a lifetime. But will the price be worth it? Can a woman captured and acquired learn to love the man who has bought her?

Romane without so much sex well developed characters
Of Moths and Butterflies by V.R. Christensen is a beautifully written Victorian historical fiction romance in the manner of Jane Austen. Characters are well drawn, plot lines come together nicely and there are some unexpected conclusions. The book is very long and I kept wondering how anyone could send Charlie away to school right after his mother …
It’s been a while, but I remember it (mostly due to the cover picture) as being a very interesting book. Being part of my KU subscription is what brought my attention to it, but the author’s writing is what makes it memorable. I do recommend this book.
A tragic, haunting story. I kept reading hoping for a brighter ending. Guess you’ll have to read it to find out. I recommend that you do.
Potential for a good story. But it was repetitive and the characters were wishy-washy.
The story line was good, but not enough interaction between the two main characters. I enjoyed it.worth reading.
Atypicical characters for a gothic novel. Kept your interest
Definitely
a different story–but enjoyable
V.R. Christensen kept me involved and wanting to know what was going to happen next.
A great story that would have benefited by an editor.
Too long, too involved, too confusing.
Good read.
I liked reading this book because the characters were so interesting. I liked the history and the description of the house and the butterflies. I hope to read more by this author.
Just goog reading
Enjoyed the plot…a bit slow moving but interesting enough to keep me going…enjoyed the vocabulary, the twists…predictable but good entertainment…
It was a wonderful book. I love Christian, inspirational books and this was truly one.
I found this a little quirky and original for this genre, which I enjoyed after getting used to it.
Kind of boring
It is a nice story which should have been edited better. It is too long with 70 plus chapters.
Should have been edited to be shorter. Moved slowly in some parts
