Nora Roberts, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the epic Year One returns with Of Blood and Bone, a new tale of terror and magick in a brand new world. They look like an everyday family living an ordinary life. But beyond the edges of this peaceful farm, unimaginable forces of light and dark have been unleashed. Fallon Swift, approaching her thirteenth birthday, barely knows the world … Swift, approaching her thirteenth birthday, barely knows the world that existed before–the city where her parents lived, now in ruins and reclaimed by nature since the Doom sickened and killed billions. Traveling anywhere is a danger, as vicious gangs of Raiders and fanatics called Purity Warriors search for their next victim. Those like Fallon, in possession of gifts, are hunted–and the time is coming when her true nature, her identity as The One, can no longer be hidden.
In a mysterious shelter in the forest, her training is about to begin under the guidance of Mallick, whose skills have been honed over centuries. She will learn the old ways of healing; study and spar; encounter faeries and elves and shifters; and find powers within herself she never imagined. And when the time is right, she will take up the sword, and fight. For until she grows into the woman she was born to be, the world outside will never be whole again.

This is such a masterful 2nd book of a unique vision of the world and what could happen from a mythical perspective. Nora’s characters are rich with depth and makes you ripe for the good and cheer for the destruction of the evil. Can’t wait for the final book of the series.
book 2 continues with tale with vivid detail and great imagination. waiting ever-so-impatiently for book 3
Great series. I am looking forward to the 3rd installment.
All I can say….is wow
Read “The One”, first in the trilogy, immediately grabbed “Of Blood and Bone”… Now I’m patiently (not) waiting for the third due out in November. Been a long while since a story line has grabbed me so completely…since King’s “The Stand”. I could go on and on but you make up your own mind. Me? Well, I think it’s obvious.
Not worth reading
Love the characters. This is an awesome series! I can’t wait for the next one to come out!!!
I had been waiting all year for this one to come out and am happy to report that it was even better than I expected it to be.
I have loved Nora Roberts’ books for a long, long time. Some, I couldn’t get into. But this series, including ‘Year One” and “Of Blood and Bone” is remarkable. I’ve read both books 7 times, and I already look forward to reading them an 8th time. Totally engaging.
Nora Roberts is an astounding author who I’ve read for years. A wonderful crafter with words that draws you in. Of Blood and Bone is so well written, a great story, it was hard to put down.
This is the second book in Nora Roberts “Chronicles of The One” trilogy. I loved it, just like I loved the first book. The main characters are still there, just older. Suspense, stress, excitement, all there. Loving relationships where people work together, yep, that’s there too. Well-written which always scores points with me. Supernatural qualities continue, and actually improve. The One (Fallon) is a likable character you can’t help but root for. Looking forward to final book releasing this Fall.
A sigh through the growing pains of families, cultures and what we think we envision our communities and cities will endure are captured in this sequel.
Year One and Of Blood and Bone are the first novels of a Trilogy. I can’t wait for the 3 book to come out in November!
I love anything by Nora Roberts! I read book one of this group and anxiously awaited book 2. Now I wait for book 3.
Nora Roberts is my favorite author. I have yet to find a book she has written that i don’t like
Loved it
I absolutely loved Of Blood and Bone! I truly enjoy the paranormal books Nora Roberts writes and I hadn’t read any in quite a while until this series. And I opted to read them in audio format, which was a great decision. Now I’m not sure I can wait until November for the series finale!
Entertaining bood. Number two in a trilogy. Tragic in that it brings to light the lengths and despair people will go to when they are taken out of their ” normal life”. Could so happen!.
I can’t wait for Book 3!!!
Simply amazing. Can not wait for the third book in this series.
