Traveling anywhere is a danger, as vicious gangs of Raiders and fanatics called Purity Warriors search for their next victim. Those like Fallon, in possession of gifts, are hunted–and the time is coming when her true nature, her identity as The One, can no longer be hidden.
In a mysterious shelter in the forest, her training is about to begin under the guidance of Mallick, whose skills have been honed over centuries. She will learn the old ways of healing; study and spar; encounter faeries and elves and shifters; and find powers within herself she never imagined. And when the time is right, she will take up the sword, and fight. For until she grows into the woman she was born to be, the world outside will never be whole again.

I am not typically a Nora Roberts romance reader but I really enjoyed the first book in this paranormal series. This 2nd book in the series was just as good. Left you wanting more and couldn’t wait for the 3rd and final episode.
Another wow book! This was an absolutely fabulous story; never a dull moment!
Nora is a genius at character formation.
I loved everything about this book and the series. Roberts keeps me involved in the characters and their outcome.
predictable outcome and ending
Thoroughly enjoyed
This is 1 of her best series havent read the last 1 but I think it going to be just as good
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the first word to last. Roberts has a way of getting you invested in all of her characters. I had a hard time putting this book down.
Part two of the series. As always the story keeps you enthrawled! Cant wait for book 3!
Great read. I love Nora Roberts, can’t wait to read the whole series.
Really great series by nora Roberts. This is the second book, and best read in order. Anxiously waiting for the third book!
Post-apocalyptic paranormal coming of age story. Book 2 of the trilogy (which I didn’t realise at first). Some beautiful and heart-warming scenes as well as action, suspense and twist at the end.
Despite the cast of hundreds, I was able to recall the characters from Year One (first in this trilogy) and thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the YA aspect to this tale, and how the future rested in the temperamental hands of a typical teenage girl, The One, Fallon. The sweet romance between Duncan and Fallon left me smiling. Fallon, Duncan and his twin sister Tonia all have special skills, and the future is in their hands. There is darkness waiting for them, but they have what it takes to overcome the looming evil and the fight to save what is left of the world. Looking forward to the third installment. Nora Roberts amazes me with her diverse stories and never-ending imagination.
I love fantasy books and Norah Roberts is one of my favorite authors so this fantasy series is a win-win.
Loved it….can’t wait for the next to come out
So much violence that this is hard to read. I understand that the end of modern society brought huge change but the details are hard to understand that people can get this cruel. Not sure if I will read the final book.
This is a good second book I in the Chronicles of One trilogy. I was not sure after the first book if I wanted to continue the trilogy. Of Blood and Bones shows the rebuilding of the expanded community in the new world with the increased magic in more people. The work, the growth, mixing old with new methods as they prepare to fight a war for their lives. I can’t wait for book 3 The Rise of Magic’s in November.
Kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the end
Loved this book. Everyone should read it!
this is wonderful read it
