Everyone dreams of marrying a prince—except for me. I am nothing more than a pawn in my adoptive mother’s diabolical plot against the seven kingdoms. I was the chosen tool, her sharpened blade that would cut the deepest into the heart of the Kingdom of Baist. But like all deadly weapons, my wedding is two-edged sword that could cost me my soul. For I am Rosalie, one of the adopted daughters of … daughters of Lady Eville, and it is my duty to enter into a loveless and hate-filled marriage with the narcissistic Crown Prince of Baist. My choices and heart are not my own to give. Yet even in the thick of dire situations, beastly vengeance can give way to beautiful attraction.

This story was absolutely wonderful. A great spin on the whole Beauty and the Beast. I couldn’t put it down. Guessing who the beast is kept me intrigued and then finding out who the beast really is was quite a shock! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
I love this new series! After finishing it, I was wishing I was back in the story! And Who doesn’t love fairy tale retellings?
Chanda Hahn has taken a well-loved fairytale and created something brand new with a magical world and even more loveable characters. We follow Rosalie, the eldest of the daughters of Eville and join her as she navigates new relationships and a world full of political intrigue. Rosalie is tough, smart, and a master at her craft. You could completely immerse yourself in her story and go through the same emotions as her. The story is action packed and full of magical mystery. Chanda also does a great job delivering messages about prejudice and having the courage to fight for yourself and what you believe in. She also emphasizes who and what family is.
I really cannot wait for the next in the series! Yay Eden!
I love how in this book a monstrous reputation is overcome through love! This is a great start to the beginning of a great series! I’m excited to read Eden’s story!
I couldn’t put this book down. To see such a strong willed young women but also the dutiful daughter who is willing to do anything for her family was an amazing start to this series. I loved the twist and turns as you find out who Rosalie truly is in this story and who her true allies are. The ending by far was perfect and is a great lesson about self love but also needing at times someone to help guide you to this realization of loving yourself.
Yet another amazing book by Chanda Hahn, I couldn’t put it down!
Chanda Hahn is an absolute Queen at retelling classic fairy tales! I’m super excited for this series! Of the seven daughters of Lady Eville, Rosalie is the oldest. I loved Rosalie’s strength and heart. No matter how she was treated, she didn’t let it define her. Even when her mother warns her of how cruel people can be, she gives everyone a chance. Prince Xander was a piece of work. But once we learned his story, it made sense why he acted like he did and he ended up a true hero. I’m really looking forward to reading about the other sisters and their magic and specific abilities.
Beauty and the Beast is a beloved story we all thought we knew. Boy, were we wrong! Bring in Fey, Witches, and magical beings. Plus curses, scorn and love. I wanted to cheer, yell, and smack some characters at certain parts of the book! It was an emotional ride that was easy to read and I didn’t want to put it down. Chanda Hahn surprised me with the many twists and turns that came throughout the book. Rosalee was relatable as the main heroine. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series since it is questionable whether or not the main antagonist is really gone or not. I loved loved loved this book!!
I think this is going to be not only on of my favorite of Chanda but one of my favorite series. I could not put this book down. Even when my phone was at 10 percent I would put it on charge enough to get to another hour. Rosalie is so cool. I want to be her. I went straight into her story like I was living it. How dare everyone treat her like they are. Even with Magic in other kingdoms. I mean she has proven time and again that she is on the right side. I was like OH COME ON! with Prince Xander. Gaven? I had his number from the beginning. He got on my last nerves. I loved the crossdressing Goobersnot. He makes me giggle. I am trying not to give anything away and also not ramble on forever about how much I loved this book. I can’t wait to meet the other sisters.
This new series by Chanda Hahn is bloody fantastic. I love new series and I’m glad to hear that this series will have several books!!
I’m happy to see Rosalie have a backbone in this storyline. I love a strong woman. One of the things that I loved is that at the beginning of the book, Chanda included a map of the 7 seven territories giving readers a visual of the area.
If you loved Chanda’s other series, I am confident that you will also love this new series!! You gotta meet Gobbersnot. Teehee. He’s my fave!! LOL
At this point (after reading all her current books obviously) I am pretty sure Chanda Hahn can weld magic. Because well, that’s what it’s like reading her books…. Magical!
I screamed in utter joy when I was able to start reading this book early (I felt so blessed!), the anticipation and excitement since hearing the book was announced! (And that beautiful cover art, oh my!)
Beauty and the Beast was a childhood favorite (next to the little mermaid), so I could NOT wait to read my favorite YA authors spin/take on it!
And I LOVED it. It was so good. Again my heartstrings were pulled and unraveled like a red ribbon. 😉 I tried to figure out what was going to happen as I read more and more, but I couldn’t! Which was great because I love not knowing whats going to happen and couldn’t turn pages quick enough! (Have I disliked ANY of Chanda’s books yet? No! But that is not the point! Her writing is so good!)
I love Chanda’s strong female leads, and Rosalie did not disappoint! She was bold, fearless, strong, independent and caring, yet being feared and sullied by those around her, she didn’t let anger or revenge consume her. She was awesome, and I related to her in some small ways, which made me like her even more! And now I want my own Gobbersnot! lol
I don’t like putting spoilers in my reviews, so I need to stop here before I start gushing!
If you liked any of Chanda’s other books, I have no doubt you will love this one too! If this is your first book by her, then you will probably still love it! If you like romance, action, magic, humor, etc Especially strong independent female leads that can kick butt, you will probably love Of Beast and Beauty!
Exciting, heart pulling, magical, beautiful and dare I say.. Sexy!
I can’t wait to read the other Daughters of Eville stories!
