A world without fire. Three sizzling shifters. One flame-haired hustler. And the elemental bond that could bring fire back to the world, or be the end of them… The last Phoenix has perished in a huge blaze of flames, extinguishing fire from the earth. Ranger Mason is a nineteen-year-old shifter whose spirit animal has not yet been fixed. An orphan, hustler and part-time exorcist, she scrapes a … exorcist, she scrapes a living in a dangerous, burned-out world, with no idea of the unique power she holds. That is, until a sexy tiger, bear and eagle shifter trio bursts into her life, convinced she’s the key to recreating fire.
What none of them realizes is that she’s no fire elemental, but something even more rare and special…something that will create the strongest possible bond between them, but also threaten to destroy her. Ranger is the only one capable of uniting a dragon with the three water, earth and air elementals, but as the love bond between the four of them ignites, the guys are unwilling to risk her safety—even if it means restoring balance to the world.
But Rael, Zain and Oran are not the only ones who have discovered Ranger’s gifts, and suddenly the decision is torn from their hands. Will she be able to create peace between her three mates, who have vowed to do anything to protect her, and a dragon intent on keeping her in his cave as his personal, flame-haired treasure?

Arc review .For honest review. This story is a story of ranger a shifter and she has abilities ,rael tiger shifter, zain bear shifters, Oran eagle shifter looking for the Prophecy of the Phoenix. 10 stars awesome.
A very intriguing read. Plenty was going go and I still don’t know how everything is going to play out. But I will say I really like Ranger no nonsense attitude. She really shined when she form her ménage. I don’t want to give any spoilers so you’ll just have to check it out for yourself. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read and a great start for a new series. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Of Ashes and Sin is a great beginning to a new series. Ranger is a strong, capable main character that the story is centered around along with the men that make up her harem. Each one brings something different to the group in order to make them stronger. Together they hope to bring fire back to the word after devastating fires raged across the land. The characters are strong and the relationships develop kinda slow at first and then gain speed. I like the plot of the story as well as the characters. Interested to find out how their story progresses and will they be the saviors the world needs.
Escape the Cold?
1 shifter believes the death of the last Phoenix 5 years ago is the reason the world has been turned to ashes by fire never to be seen again……Fire
Tiger shifter Rael believes in the books his wise old grandfather left him and is set on a mission with his loyal friends, if they don’t accomplish it the world will never return to what it once was
Only the balance of the 5 elements and the creation of the new phoenix will bring order to the world again and 3 shifters of different species all representing 3 of the 5 elements, earth, water and air are on a mission to accomplish this. Zain a bear shifter, Rael Tiger shifter and Oran a Golden Eagle shifter have sought and found the one they think will create the balance needed to save the world. Problem is Ranger having been on her own and very weary of all since the fires, doesn’t believe their crazy story and is not convinced of her power.. They have to convince her that seeking their 5th is the only way, but will Ranger accept that she is a powerful and rare shifter and that they are bound to become mates, not only with them, but there is a 5th that will complete them and save the world?
Follow these unlikely mates on their journey to seek and try to save the world by bringing the fire again.
Although I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next, I felt some things in this book took away some of its potential. First I did not care for the main characters first encounter. Not at all. Hardly any apologies for throwing her around and such. Second, although I loved the differences in their relationship, I wish there was a more defined way for the mating. It was almost like they shrugged their shoulders and said welp we are mated. There were no small clues or hints as to someone watching them and I think it would of added to the story a bit.
Other than that I loved the story line, and the characters for the most part. There wasn’t much action but the story flowed really well. I couldn’t put it down and read it pretty fast.
The premise and concept of a post-apocalyptic world that’s lost the use of fire was very intriguing. The beginning felt promising, and Ranger is actually a pretty like-able MC (for the most part). The three boys, too, also felt very distinct in the beginning and you grew to understand them as people. However, this was a very fast burn- too fast of a burn in my opinion and some characters end up making uncharacteristic decisions. To add to it, the erotic parts were frustrating. It felt like the book was torn on whether to be more in tune with its concept and plot or more in tune with being an erotic novel. I have no qualms with eroticas, but there were a ton of sex scenes that didn’t fully dedicate to the sex, but held no sustenance toward the plot. The beginning of this novel was almost phenomenal, and then it grew to be impatient and flimsy toward the middle. Despite my conflict with the lack of honest and good development between some of the characters and string of events, I’m still hooked enough to continue reading when the second book comes out. I have hope it’ll be a decent series, and there’s sooo much potential for the concept of it. If anyone was to pick up this book I’d tell them it is no where near a slow burn, but they could get a good read out of the plot.
Of Ashes And Sin: A Reverse Harem Shifter Romance Fire Trails Book 1
by K.N. Knight, Ariana Hawkes
Of Ashes And Sin is a powerful Reverse Harem Shifter Romance book of the Fire Trails series. It’s the great books that you enjoy so very much that makes you feel so inspired. They are also the ones that’s so easy to review, I really enjoyed Of Ashes And Sin. For me, it’s always the characters who have flaws that I enjoythe most. Ranger Mason is a wonderful character, she is a nineteen-year-old shifter whose spirit animal has not yet been fixed. She has stumble a few times she is a orphan and a hustler who sometimes becomes a exorcist to scrape a living in a dangerous world. Rael, Zain, Oran and Draven are four sexy hot shifters that are destined to be Ranger’s mates. Rael is a Tiger shifter who reads the history, Zain is a Bear shifter who has a lot of pain, Oran is a Eagle shifters who was wealthy before the fire. Draven is a Dragon Shifter his Dragon is almost feral. Their elemental bond could bring fire back to the world. Again Ariana Hawkes and K.N. Knight has created a awesome world but this time she has a partner. Of Ashes And Sin is a consuming all satisfying read, it shows how great their imagination is along with their skillful storytelling. This is a charming written story that allows the readers to understand the discovery of Ranger gifts by Rael, Zain, Oran and Draven. Ariana and K.N creates an atmosphere that full with shifter energy. I really enjoy the emotional drama throughout this story.I want my review to reflect how incredible and detailed the first book in the series is, but without giving away spoilers. Plus I feel like I have no more words to tell you how much you will enjoy this book. I’m totally excited about reading book 2. if you’ve never read Ariana Hawkes please pick one up. If you like Paranormal Romance you’ve got quite a lot of choices. There is literally something for everyone, so please please read her work.
This story has an interesting premise – fire has left the world with the death of the last Phoenix. Zain, Rael, and Oran -3 shifters- have a theory how to get it back, and so abduct Ranger. I like Ranger – she has attitude, resilience, and smarts. I feel like the romance move a little too quickly, especially considering how they tried to “help” her find her true form. I don’t get why they didn’t just try to talk with her first. Also, I felt like the parts with Draven were just too rushed. While, I thought some of her relationship with the other 3 guys moved quickly, I could see some progression. I am intrigued nought that I will be watching to book 2.
While this is a darker romance it does have lighter moments. It is a highly enjoyable read. It will keep you on your toes as it is unpredictable completely original story! The wonderful Characters will keep you entertained as they seduce and travel to find the final male of their set!! Not only is the book got a great plot but the sexy bits are steam as all get out.
It is a whimsical, informative action packed pager turner of a future world that has a super realistic look at the world without fire. It does have some twists you just do not see coming and about the time you think one thing happens another will so it is a great world building story!! While this is book 1 of a set it does not really end with a cliffhanger. But I am so into it I can not wait till the next installment.
AND THE WHEELS KEEP ROLLING!!!
