Meet Odd Thomas, the unassuming young hero of Dean Koontz’s dazzling New York Times bestseller, a gallant sentinel at the crossroads of life and death who offers up his heart in these pages and will forever capture yours. “The dead don’t talk. I don’t know why.” But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Sometimes the … reluctant confidant. Sometimes the silent souls who seek out Odd want justice. Occasionally their otherworldly tips help him prevent a crime. But this time it’s different.
A stranger comes to Pico Mundo, accompanied by a horde of hyena-like shades who herald an imminent catastrophe. Aided by his soul mate, Stormy Llewellyn, and an unlikely community of allies that includes the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, Odd will race against time to thwart the gathering evil. His account of these shattering hours, in which past and present, fate and destiny, converge, is a testament by which to live—an unforgettable fable for our time destined to rank among Dean Koontz’s most enduring works.

Perfectly Wonderful, Best Character Ever is Odd Thomas. So brave and all for his Dear Stormy
do not enjoy his writing
Different you’ll start one way and twist and turn end up some where else.
Dean Koontz is one of my favorite writers as he crosses so many genres and includes so much in his books. This is the book that started it all for me. I absolutely loved it! It is a series – the rest of the series is ok, but this one is just awesome. Actually, the movie is good, too!
Odd Thomas is one of the best characters ever created
I love everything Dean Koontz writes, but Odd Thomas is a special character that I have fallen in love with. He is everyman and yet unique at the same time.
I was never a big Dean Koontz fan until I read this book. I was immediately sucked in constantly giggling to myself. Odd is one of the most likeable characters I have ever come across.
I love Odd Thomas…this is one of my favorite books & favorite characters. Well worth reading
Loved the whole series. Very original.
Loved the characters. It was super funny that the main character saw Elvis. I totally didn’t see the end coming. Great read!

Dean is always a good read.
Love the Odd Thomas series.
Best series of books ever
Mind-blowing. The second one: Forever Odd
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I found it somewhat reminiscent of earlier Dean Koontz. A truly entertaining edge of your seat book!
Wonderful book by a wonderful author.
I stayed away from this book mainly due to the title, boy did I do myself a disservice. Interesting concept, well written, keeps your interest throughout the entire series.
One of my favorite series
Freaky but interesting
