Meet Odd Thomas, the unassuming young hero of Dean Koontz’s dazzling New York Times bestseller, a gallant sentinel at the crossroads of life and death who offers up his heart in these pages and will forever capture yours. “The dead don’t talk. I don’t know why.” But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Sometimes the … reluctant confidant. Sometimes the silent souls who seek out Odd want justice. Occasionally their otherworldly tips help him prevent a crime. But this time it’s different.
A stranger comes to Pico Mundo, accompanied by a horde of hyena-like shades who herald an imminent catastrophe. Aided by his soul mate, Stormy Llewellyn, and an unlikely community of allies that includes the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, Odd will race against time to thwart the gathering evil. His account of these shattering hours, in which past and present, fate and destiny, converge, is a testament by which to live—an unforgettable fable for our time destined to rank among Dean Koontz’s most enduring works.

I’ve read most of the Odd books and Dean Koontz is amazing as ever. He writes the character in a way you can relate. I couldn’t put this book down.

Love the Odd Thomas series!! I would recommend Odd Thomas!!
first time I have read any of Dean Koonz, my first thought in reading was I would not like the story line, but I was soon hooked and loved the characters, especially Odd. Fun read and have others in the series in the cue.
Another great novel by Dean Koontz.
All of the odd Thomas books are worth reading.
I was disappointed because I expect to be frightened and tense while reading Koontz. This was silly.
ok if you love bizarre stories
Odd Thomas is one of the most interesting characters Dean Koontz has given us.
Wish there was more to read about Thomas
Love the Odd Thomas books.
One of the best books I’ve read.
Such a good series!
Unusual in many ways good ways!
Love the whole series.
This was a different kind of book for me and it was enjoyable. Odd was a fascinating character who sees dead people but they cannot talk to him. He has to try and figure out what they want him to know. I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.
Great read & series!
