Meet Odd Thomas, the unassuming young hero of Dean Koontz’s dazzling New York Times bestseller, a gallant sentinel at the crossroads of life and death who offers up his heart in these pages and will forever capture yours. “The dead don’t talk. I don’t know why.” But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Sometimes the … reluctant confidant. Sometimes the silent souls who seek out Odd want justice. Occasionally their otherworldly tips help him prevent a crime. But this time it’s different.
A stranger comes to Pico Mundo, accompanied by a horde of hyena-like shades who herald an imminent catastrophe. Aided by his soul mate, Stormy Llewellyn, and an unlikely community of allies that includes the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, Odd will race against time to thwart the gathering evil. His account of these shattering hours, in which past and present, fate and destiny, converge, is a testament by which to live—an unforgettable fable for our time destined to rank among Dean Koontz’s most enduring works.

It was a very different kind of book. I didn’t particularly care for it, it just wasn’t my usual kind of read.
Simply a great read
One of the best books i have ever read. Don’t miss this one!
This book was not one of my favorite Koontz books. It reads more like a Y.A book.
One of my favorite characters to read. Fell I love from the first page
Love, love, love Dean Koontz. Never disappointed with any of his books and I have enjoyed many by him.
Very good book. The book contains many twists and turns and is unpredictable and addictive.
The book that got me into Koontz.
I love that Thomas is just an ordinary guy with a secret. He’s a special person trying to help in anyway he can, it’s just those pesky ghosts that won’t leave him alone,
A creative story about a young man. Who has a unique talent and the hardship and heroism it brings.
Original page turner!
I’ve read this book twice, as well as seen the movie. Sweet, haunting, and suspenseful. A supernatural must read.
This book, series, is worth reading.
I fell in love with Odd Thomas when I first met him in the pages of the Odd Thomas series of books by Koontz. Odd can see and talk to the dead. Some come to him to try to find the justice they crave. He also sees beings that are dark and sinister and knows they are a pre-cursor to a major act of terror.
Fall in love with Odd and his love Stormy …
ABSOLUTELY one of my fave.. Read the other book with this adorable character & instantly fell n luv.
Truly want more, more. Lol Great fun & at times sad but if you haven’t read this book well u have no idea what ur missing.
This is the first of the Odd Thomas books and you are just introduced to him and don’t yet realize he sees ghosts and other things that come along with that. There is also a tragedy in the book that is very sad but it helps evolve the character and story. I love all the books but you definitely need to start with this one.
As always, Dean Koontz captures your attention and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last word of the last page. I love the character Odd Thomas.
The Odd Thomas is my favorite book series. I love me some Dean. Never read a bad book from you Dean.
I fell in love with Oddy when I read this, and have read every book in the series. They are all fantastic and every one ends too soon.
Unique concept, couldn’t stop reading. Odd Thomas is an unusual character that you want to find out what is going to happen next.
