i loved all the books in this series and read every book feehan has ever written and ceave more.she is a fantastic writer cant wait for the next.
I love bingeing on TV shows, however, this book was better than any TV show. Reading it was a wonderful experience.
This author is an automatic buy for me. I’ve read every book she has written. I have enjoyed some more than others, but all of them are worth reading. I love the stories of the Drake sisters and this is one of my favorites. The magic that happens in these books is great! I wish I had their skills! I also wish they were real and could be my neighbors…That would be awesome.
This is my favorite so far. I like the narrator as well. Good story.
In ”Oceans of Fire”,the third book in the ”Drake Sisters” series we are back to Sea Haven on the northern California coast where Abigail Drake witnesses a murder and reunites with the man who once a long time ago broke her heart. He is intent on finding the people who murdered his partner, and winning back the only woman he have ever loved.
What a splendid, exotic, suspenseful and magical adventure this book delivered!Abigail Drake is one of the sisters that has always intruged me in the former books,as i knew the cause of her unhappiness. She is a free spirit who travels around the world and swims along with wild dolphins and whales. She have the gift of seeking for truth, which sometimes even have gotten her in trouble.
I really wondered what the hell happened between Abigail and her hero, the russian steel-hearted and cold-blooded Interpol agent Aleksandr Volstov-that made it so painful for her to even remember a memory of him. When everything was in the open i had to gasp with the unfairness of the situation. He was born to be a weapon for the russia government which made him acquiring natural reflexes, abilities and building like the perfect warrior That Aleksandr had to make the hardest sacrifice of them all,and when it all slipped out of his control,he lost his Abigail.I love that he send love-letters all those years of separation, and that it killed him when every letter got send back to him unopened. I love that he searched for her..and when he eventually finds her,he fights for her.

Abigail Drake is the third sister in a magical family of seven.
She loves the water, if it was possible Abigail would stay there forever, and when she witnesses a murder, she wants to return to the water where it’s safe.
And then she finds out Aleksandr is back in town, she probably wishes she was a mermaid. He broke her heart years ago, and when he makes it clear he wants her, Abigail doesn’t know what to do!!
Aleksandr is an Interpol agent, his investigations have brought him to Sea Haven, hunting thieves who have stolen Russian antiques. He remembers his Abigail, he broke her heart when he left, but given another chance to be with her, Aleksandr won’t make the same mistake, he wants a home and the only woman he ever wanted it with is within his grasp.
This is the first book that’s not a novella. The chase that brings Aleksandr back to Abigail is interesting, and it gets you looking for clues as to who the dealer is.
We get to catch up with the her sisters, and we get an environmental angle as well (dolphins and they’re habits) we get to play detective as to who the murder is and why was the other person killed.
I like this series. I like the interaction between the sisters. There are plenty of laughs (the men in their lives, and how they interact with the women)
The close knit community of Sea Haven is evident in the writers words.
Dangerous Tides is next and I can’t wait.
A great paranormal romance series
2.5 stars
Abigail is the third daughter of the Drake bloodline. She has the ability for water and possesses a strong bond with dolphins. She has spent her life studying them. But while she is studying the dolphins off the cost of Sea Haven she witness a murder and Interpol agent Alexsandr Volstov steps back into her life.
I remember loving this series when I read it years ago. I read it a lot because of that. So I am surprised that I am finding that I am not enjoying this series as much as I used to. I don’t think they have aged as well as other books. That said, this still wasn’t a terrible book. I did enjoy aspects of it.
Abigail and Alexander met four years ago in Russia and fell in love. A terrible event occurs though and Abigail is deported from Russia because of it. Since then her love for Alexander has turned to hurt and anger. I didn’t love Abigail. She was constantly avoiding important conversations and basically acting like a coward. It felt very childish and made me not really enjoy her character. When it came to the action parts she was fine but any time it was just her and Alexander I got annoyed by her attitude.
Alexander was a protective alpha male who is determined to do anything to get Abigail back. I actually liked his character but we don’t get as much of his POV as we do Abbys, which I think is why I didn’t enjoy this book as much.
I enjoyed the action scenes the most in this book I think. We just get a small hint at how deadly Alexander can be though which was a little disappointing. I do hope we see more of his abilities in future books. The character who really made this book interesting though was Ilya Prakenskii. I can’t wait to get his story. So while I didn’t love this book, I will be continuing my reread of the series and hope it gets better.
Awesome book
I eagerly await all of Feehan’s books. This series is about 7 witch sisters, each with their own talents. Best to start this series from the beginning.
Christine Feehan never dissapoints.
The Drake Sisters series makes me want to be in one of them!!! It’s amazing writing, showing incredible depth in the characters and their relationships with each other! Don’t miss reading this book series!
I love almost everything Ms. Feehan writes. Her books are some I use to escape from this dreary old world we have to deal with. Keep on writing. I’ll keep on reading!
this series.
I love all of c Christine’s books. Have since I read her first one.
I love the books about the sisters and this town. Each sister has a different talent and therefore a different story and type of hero that she is attracted to. Good read.
