From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best Selling Author Vivian WoodSecrets can kill. Harper wanted Sean to dominate her, to degrade her… and she loved every second of it. Every hot, gasping-for-breath, clenching-the-sheets moment. She loved to have him looming over her, dictating her every move. She got off on it.But now it’s too real. Their relationship has gotten complicated and dark, fast.… complicated and dark, fast.
For Sean, Harper is more than just a good f*ck. She’s quickly becoming an obsession. When she pulls him from the fire yet again, he can’t pretend that she’s not the center of his world.
But Harper’s got secrets too, and hers are twice as deadly. When she finally starts to unravel, they will both have to find a way to save themselves — and each other — if they want to stay together.
This book is Book 2 out of 2 in the Addicted To You duet. It is recommended that you read Addiction first. At approximately 50,000 words, it ends in a HEA. As a dark romance, it touches several sensitive topics, but contains no cheating.

This was a good wrap up to the story. I enjoyed Harper’s storyline, which had kept me reading all along. But I didn’t sense a lot of romance. Their relationship seemed… forced to me. Despite them talking about how much they cared for each other, I just didn’t feel it as a reader. And I wish they had explained a bit more about what happened at the end of the first book. After about a month in between I had mostly forgotten. Yet it wasn’t talked about much.
What a fabulous conclusion to the Addiction Duet Series by Vivian Wood. Obsession is going to take you on an emotional ride which picks up where the first book Addiction ended. Sean and Harper will be struggling to overcome their addictions. During this time even when pasts come to haunt them, they stand united to help each other through the toughest times of their lives. This series is well written, full of emotion, tragedy, real life matters and most of all love. Have your tissues handy. If you haven’t read the first book in this series I yet, I suggest you do so before reading this one.
Difficult subjects to cover. But they are done well. Some of the BDSM play was a bit too much for me.
This book was so good, sucked me right in. This duet was really good, Sean and Harper seemed so unlikely as couple with their issues and problems but actually fit together so well and better themselves for each other, Sean sure has some dark kinks-lol. I really enjoyed Sean and Harper’s story!
What a conclusion to the Addiction Duet! I loved Addiction and Obsession was even better! Harper and Sean are still working through their addictions each having their own struggles, but together they make each other stronger. I loved the deep connection they have and the Dom/Sub sexual relationship. This is an emotionally intense read but so worth the money and the time to read. This duet is my favorite by this author and I look forward to reading more by Vivian Wood.

When Does An Addiction Turn Into An Obsession?
Sean and Harper story Addiction continues in Obsession. With each having their own addiction issue, their relationship is somewhat tumultuous. Sean is a recovering alcoholic dealing with legal issues and in order to get out of jail he must have a stable place to stay. With prompting from Sean’s brother Connor, Harper agrees to move in with Sean. She has been forced to retire from modeling and since she needs a place to stay and time to find a job, she feels she has no other options but to agree. But being at odds and fighting their own problems along the way doesn’t make the situation easy for either party.
Obsession was another amazing book! It rounded out the Addiction Duet perfectly. I enjoyed the storyline that spoke of real life issues and didn’t just gloss over them. I highly recommend this book along with Addiction. Miss Vivian Wood is a wonderful writer!
I found that I didn’t like this book as much as I liked the first book Addiction. This book centered more along the lines of Harper and her disorder. It wasn’t easy reading it, that’s for sure, especially when you add in the little twist. I actually wanted to scream at her because of the things she was thinking and her inability to have faith in Sean and his love for her. But then again, I knew I couldn’t because her thoughts were mentally drilled into her as a young girl and she couldn’t fight them, at first. Once she started going down the right path and fighting for herself, then I started liking her more. Sean wasn’t the smartest in this book either. He was right to wait until she came to him but he could have stood up more and been an alpha outside of the bedroom. I also wasn’t to thrilled with how the whole Sean/Ashton thing panned out. Ashton’s reasoning was so stupid and nothing that a smart adult would have used, then again he probably wasn’t a smart adult. While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as Addiction I still enjoyed it. It really opens your mind and perspective when it comes to eating disorders and what some people will do to look and feel “perfect.
Obsession – əbˈsɛʃ(ə)n/ – they were obsessed with each other, and I am with their story.
This is book two in the Addiction Duet, and finished off Sean and Harpers story beautifully. It picks up where Addiction ended, with Sean getting arrested in front of Harper, so you HAVE to read that book first.
Sean had been living life on his own terms, overcoming his addiction to alcohol and working as a tattooist, all without the help of his family’s trust fund. Harper was everything to him and life was great. Then his friend Ashton woke up from his coma, and pointed the finger at him – for everything. Falling off the wagon, punching an officer while getting arrested, and getting landed with a whole host of drug felony charges that Ashton was blaming him for was Sean’s new low. Sometimes help from the family and family money just has to be accepted with grace.
Harper hadn’t heard from Sean since the arrest, and had no idea where things between them stood. When Sean’s brother, Connor gets in touch and needs her help, she is angry at finding out about Sean’s affluent family background given the way she thought their relationship had been moving forward. Sometimes, the people you love have their own reason for not opening up entirely. Afterall, her own secret, her own personal addiction is potentially deadly.
Obsession is a beautifully written book about love, forgiveness, acceptance and recovery. It is less about BDSM and more about a couple overcoming addictive behaviour, falling in love and working into a mutual need through love and respect. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still as hot and intense as Vivian’s writing ever is, I just don’t want any potential reader to see the term and think it’s not for them. It’s a book that I highly recommend!
Addiction and Obsession. Two fantastic books that together make for one fantastic story. 5 Stars.
Sean and Harper have battled more in their few months of being together than some people do in the first few years of being together. Through out it all their attraction for each other has remained strong. Their love has matured to unexpected heights. This is an amazing book with a Vivian Wood surprise at the end.
If you want a couple to fall in love with the Addiction Duet with Sean and Harper are the ones you should check out.
