Picking up right after book two this story flew by. The back and forth of Talons flashback, emotions and pursuit of change had me captivated. Jade is fascinating and an interesting character who is strong but also staying in a relationship with someone who has a lot of baggage and a job with someone who is very questionable. Great hints given and good use of interweaving past and present. The cliffhanger gave a huge hint and so now we have two hints to who the kidnappers were and we have more details teasing us about the next book.
Still hot as all get out
Talon and Jade’s story continues and now we have more answers, although we also have more questions.
They are getting closer to each other, and now I feel like their feelings are more believable, even though they still have a long way ahead of them in their growth and their relationship.
I loved that Talon is finally getting some help and it’s working beautifully.
Their chemistry is still insane and blazing hot.
Again, we have a cliffhanger in this book, but it’s definitely not a problem to me (I’m a sucker for them, sue me).
Obsession (Steel Brothers Saga, #2) was a great read by Helen Hardt. Jade know’s that she is in love with Talon, even though he doesn’t want her in his home. Jade is determined to move on, but her boss asks her to dig up information on the Steels. She willingly does it because she wants to find out more about them. Talon knows that in order for them to have a future, than he must work on the darkness from his past. Unfortunately they seem to uncover many secrets that they didn’t expect. I have enjoyed reading Talon and Jade’s story and can’t wait to read more in their story.
How does she do it???
The books just keep getting better!!!
50 shades of Grey has NOTHING on The Steels Brothers!!!
Audio review… Trigger warnings
Talon and Jade’s story continues in this book, where the mystery and secrets start to unravel as their relationship becomes stronger. This book has was a fast-paced read with so many things unraveling. I can’t get enough.
Again the narrators did a great job.

The story pulled me in and the narrators are great.
What I love about this book are the original story and the characters. I would have preferred the entire story in one book, but at least they’re all in Audible Escape! What I really didn’t like is the repetitive wording (even sentences)
The title matches the book. Jade and Talon are obsessed with each other. Marj and Jade are becoming obsessed with Marj’s history.
I love how just when I think I’ve figured something out, there’s another twist.
I am loving this author and how, so far, she keeps you on your toes.
Can’t wait to read Possession!
OMG Helen knocked it out of the park with Obsession!!!! Talon and Jade are still trying to figure out this love that they feel for each other. Talon kicks Jade out of the house and she finds an apartment over a hair salon. Jade wants to get a tattoo but Talon freaks out when he find out which one. They keep trying to fight their love and it is not working.
Okay so I kinda figured out that Talon had been raped or molested as a child and that he had saved Ryan from the 3 men who had taken the Walker boy… When Jade first saw the tattoo on her mom’s boyfriend forarm that he was one of the guys that had hurt Talon as a child… But I didn’t know that Talon had seen the Walker boy dead once he got captured by 3 men… come to find out that Jade’s boss is one of the 3 men that raped or molested Talon as a kid… Turns out that Talon’s mom is Jade’s boss half sister ( as Jade thinks )
Loved it
Excellent series! Love the characters! Amazing family bond. Hooked on the characters and story as it unfolded.
Best series ever! Take my advice and buy it, you won’t be sorry.
Excellent book series!
Couldn’t put it down – have to continue with the series
Well, I need to talk about author, Helen Hardt. She has just blown my mind! I received “Craving” for free and it was fantastic, so I bought the remaining 8 books in the Steele Brothers Series. Then, I bought all 9 audiobooks because I love to listen to the voices. The narrators were perfect! The storyline was amazing; not what I was expecting at all. I love how a male narrator and female narrator took turns, back and forth. Each book tells part of the overall story, and it will keep you reading/listening till the end. No laggy parts. I highly recommend this brilliant series!
This book was just as good as the 1st book in the series. The author really makes these characters come to life . I would definitely recommend this book as the story line is so different from other stories that you never fee like you have read this before.
Favorite series this year!! Fantastic couldn’t put tt down!!
Talon and Jade’s mercurial relationship continues. Revelations about the Steels continue to unfold both with Marj and because of Jade’s investigation. Her boss, under guise of a confidential “need to know” investigation, has directed Jade to dig onto the Steelfinancial dealings. Although she’s uncomfortable with it, this investigation works in her favor too. Maybe she can get some answers about Talon. Meanwhile Talon is a mess, he realizes that the only way he can ever really have a relationship with Jade is to deal with his past. He and his brothers both know it’s time.
Helen Hardt has createc such an intriguing plot that putting this book down was darn near impossible. She’s slowlt unwinding the horrendous events of Talon’s past throrugh flashbacks and memories. It’s the perfect formula for an edge of your seat romantic suspense.
So you’ve read Craving and obviously know that Jade and Talon’s sexual chemistry is smokin’ hot! You also know what the big secret is. And you know that Jade found a MAJOR piece of evidence while admiring a tattoo on a certain someone…
While reading Obsession I can promise you one thing … you’re going to yell at the book as much as you would yell at your T.V. while your favorite football team is going in for the game winning touchdown. I’m not sure I’ve ever rooted for a couple more than I have these two.
Talon takes you on such an emotional roller coaster ride in this second book. You’re going to want to yell at him and shake him all while you’re holding him and consoling him. Jade shows true strength and courage while Talon is pushing her away and keeping her in the dark about the horrible events that happened to him 25 years ago.
Their sex is amazing. Their secrets keep growing. And their relationship … I don’t even have words.
Can Talon admit to Jade that he has fallen in love with her?
Can Jade stick around through the lies and the secrets?
I have one word of advice for you … Do NOT start reading this book unless you have book 3 ready to go … trust me on this one. Helen Hardt sure knows how to end her books in cliff hangers!
The continual of talons and jades life in book 2 only keeps you wanting more. You cannot put it down. The twist of events keeps you wanting more.
