Ugly crying is real!!!
I broke for Meik and Gabe, but Meik and Seb were my salve.
Thank you for such an amazing story.
I hated, I loved, I cried, I broke and somehow, at the end, I was mended and happy. What an amazing romance. xx
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is book 4 in the Obsessed series, and you MUST read book one through three before you read this one. You need to know how Meik ended up in this position. And they are all 5 star reads from me! I would STRONGLY recommend you don’t read these unless you have all 4 parts in your possession. They are addictive, and cliffhangers and you will NEED that next part so badly, it will hurt. So, yeah, all FOUR parts, ya hear me??
But this one?? Not so much. Still really great, just not quite hitting the spot that the others did.
Why?? Because I was CONFUSED!
At the beginning of this book, Meik is drowning his sorrows in booze and sex. Or at least he’s TRYING to. The sex thing seems not to be working so alcohol is his drug of choice. What I was confused about was WHY! At the end of book 3, Sebastian tells Meik he loves him, and Meik responds. . .not badly, but with the wrong words. Here, Sebastian is just GONE!!! It took me far too long to figure out Sebastian must have left Meik, and that was why he is drowning in galleons of whiskey. FAR too long, and it spoilt it slightly for me.
BUT!!! We get another side of Meik, while he’s drowning his sorrows: the loving, sweet teenager about to have his whole world broken by the loss of Gabe. We get all that, in the memories that flash up between the now bits. Gabe’s illness and diagnosis. His failing health as time goes on. Meik and Gabe’s growing physical relationship, despite Gabe’s illness. The total and utter LOVE that Gabe and Meik have for each other screams at you in every snippet of those memories. And you get to understand a little bit more why Meik fights so bloody hard against the love that he has for Sebastian. So bloody hard! He doesn’t want to feel that kind of pain again.
And he does LOVE Sebastian. He just needs to find him to tell him. Pulling himself out of a week long bender took some doing, but I’m so glad that boy did it! Just when he thinks he’s lost Sebastian for good, he finds him. And with the RIGHT words, tells Sebastian he loves him.
It would be nice to catch up with these two later down the road, it really would. But for now, a very fitting end to the story of Meik’s Obsession with Sebastian.
4 solid stars

Omg I’m heartbroken this series has come to an end. Gabe was the sweetest person and someone I would love to know in real life. Meik loves him so much. I totally forgive Meik for his behavior now that his full story has been told. I thought for a moment that Meik was going to give up and not pull through. I was literally tearing up and that NEVER happens ever so great job Quin&Perin for all the feels this book gives you. Happy to see Meik get his head out of his a $$ and realize Sebastian was his true love . This series is definitely on my top 3 of all time favorites and I will read many more times to come. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
This is the last book in the series and it is heartbreaking, bittersweet and emotional. You really get to understand Meik and why he is the way he is as you get the background story on everything he went through with Gabe. It truly broke my heart to see what Meik went through with Gabe. I can’t say much more without spoiling the story but I really enjoyed the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is the final book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. Meik is using alcohol and sex to escape after ruining his chances with Sebastian. Will Meik be able to find the courage to take that leap when love finds him? So emotional and raw. I was hooked from beginning to end on this amazing conclusion and brilliant characters. I loved it!
What an emotional ending to an all the feels story! You find out what happened to Meik in the past & the love he lost, how he’s not handling the present after what happened, and what he plans to do for the future. This was a gripping story!
In the Fourth book of the Obsessed saga of Meik and Sebastian, we get the conclusion to their story.
We get lots of smut, lust and backstory of Meik and his deceased lover Gabe. We get a lot of Meik trying to bury his memories and regret in sex and alcohol. But there is no escape. I found the conclusion very satisfying.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Meik&Sebastian: Obsessed # 4 is the fourth and final book in the series. The plot has been a continuation from book to book, so you will need to read the series in order. The third book ended with a big cliffhanger, and the fourth book begins two months after the event. Meik has been dealing with the consequences of his actions and having a hard time coping. As a result, he’s been drinking, hooking up, and reflecting on his past which leads him to make some hard decisions.
I always have a hard time saying goodbye to characters that I love and Meik&Sebastian: Obsessed # 4 was a bit bittersweet. The storyline was fabulous as always, and it flashed back to Meik and Gabe often. I would say Gabe took up a majority of the fourth book, but it helped me understand Meik better.
I loved how the series ended, but I was hoping for more! I would have loved the epilogue to have been wrapped up a little further. I would say that it had a HFN ending and my heart was hoping for everything to be wrapped up with a big bow. I’m wondering if Meik and Sebastian will make an appearance in any of Quin Perin’s future novels (wink wink nudge nudge).
A fabulous series!

To say this has been an intense ride is quite the understatement. I personally have had this nice love/hate relationship going on with Meik’s character. He’s intense, arrogant, and downright unbearable at times. Sebastian, well, he’s quite the opposite. He’s lovable, sweet, talented, and best of all, he has gotten under Meik’s skin in the best way; more than Meik would care to admit. All the final pieces fall into place with the last book in this series, and what a ride it has been. Once again, I found myself riding the emotional rollercoaster, as I tend to do whenever I read anything by Quin and Perin. If you’ve been waiting for this finally book before reading this series, well HERE IT IS! You will not be disappointed. If you are new to Quin and Perin, well “Obsessed” is the perfect place to start! I would pay close attention to the authors’ notes at the beginning and end of the stories, as it may make a difference in how you’ll feel at the end. They aren’t known for their typical romance, which I adore, so don’t expect that here! But that is part of what makes them great!
Quin & Perin continue to surprise with the fourth book in the Obsessed series. The series concludes in a very unique way, the focus shifting more to Meik’s origin story and keeping us on our toes until the very end!
After the utterly evil cliffhanger of book 3, it’s no surprise that Meik and Sebastian have had a falling out of sorts. The L-word is still something Meik has a lot of trouble accepting, and he fights it. So hard. Yet he finds out to his despair that no amount of drinking is enough to drown his sorrows, and no random hook-up can erase Sebastian from his heart. Love has found him a second time, now will he have the courage to embrace it again?
I adore Quin & Perin’s writing style. They are brilliant with picking the right word or comparison to make the reader understand just how much their character is feeling. I love the way they cut off sentences to create more tension and heighten emotions.
Meik is blunt, arrogant and cold (on the outside), so seeing him so vulnerable and sweet with Gabe, was an endearing change of pace. Knowing what was coming didn’t make it any easier to read though. Meik’s emotions are raw and overwhelming, his grief so real. Heartbreaking. He’s totally forgiven for closing his heart off like he did.
Sebastian remains a bit of an enigma. So more Sebastian would have been nice, but he’s always an important part of the story, whether on or off page.
This has been such an original series, so refreshingly different. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
4.5 stars
What started in the first book as smut has grown to be so, so much more! Getting to know Meik and Gabe’s relationship was so heartbreaking…brought me to tears. The fact that he recognised a second chance at love was awesome. That last scene with Gabe’s mother amazing! LOVED THIS SERIES!!!!
The obsessed series comes to a stunning conclusion. Meik has hit rock bottom, he is lost and drowning his troubles in alcohol. His attempts to fill the void with meaningless sex is a fruitless task. He must face his reality head on and realize that Sebastian is more than just his boy toy.
In book 4 we get a deeper look at Gabe and Meik’s relationship. Gabe’s heartbreaking illness had a profound effect on Meik’s entire adult life.
With Lilllie’s help, Meik eventually sobers up and understands that maybe it’s time to finally let love in.
This story had all the feels! It was heartfelt, sexy and steamy.
This cannot be read as a stand alone. You need to read all 4 books in order as otherwise it won’t make sense. I am glad Meik came to his senses though and found his happy with Sebastian. Again this book has a unique mix of romance and erotica but it works wonderfully.
This raw, intense, gritty, bittersweet, poignant, engrossing, emotionally charged, grab-you-by-the-feels, heartfelt, powerful, and awesome story was the perfect end to a fantastic series.
5+++ How much can my heart handle … it hurt, it broke, it shattered.
Amazingly written story!! Harsh, emotional… going sooo unbelievable deep… to the deepest parts of my emotions… so much of everything…
Meik hit rock bottom… realizing he did the worst to Sebastian and it’s irreversible…
He can’t get his life back on track.
Finally we get to know the real Meik… and goshh is he something!!
The previous parts showed a hint… even small… I felt it… there is more…much more than only delicious overwhelming smut
And then…… nooooo… oh.. noooo… I knew it was coming… but like this…? I’m a wreck… can’t even write my review because my eyes are blurred.
An emotional rollercoaster… it started all with a sweet and kind drizzle and ended with a tidal wave… a tsunami… of feelings… it dragged me with it and I almost drowned.
Superior written story! It had so much sparkling energy. Clever developed with various angles.. Meik was enchanting in this part. I read it in one breath… it brought me to my knees.!
Extremely captivating journey of four short stories, it had everything!! I didn’t want it to end!
Highly recommended
Of my 250 books I already read this year, this is my 9th 5+++ and so deserved. It had everything !
Kindly received an arc from the authors and Gay Book Promotions
I recommend reading the other books in the series first. This book was short and sweet. Meik reconciles with Sebastian and together they begin to get to know each other. They begin to work through Meiks problems and with Sebastian, Meik is able to start facing his past. Before that more is revealed about Gabe and Meiks relationship which was sweet but sad. All in all it was another great read by Quin and Perin.
Wow! This series has kept me on my toes, and eager for more, as I’ve read each installment. Honestly, I didn’t think it could get better than part 3, but Quin and Perin showed me it could. I don’t want to get all spoilery on you all – but you guys – all the answers!! I had a love/hate relationship with Meik throughout the series and at the end of book 3 I found myself softening a bit. This last book really pulled the whole story together and let’s just say I kinda love Meik now. Meik had to hit rock bottom to be able to see that he still has love to give, and that he is also worthy of that HEA.
Note to Authors: Um, more please?
Who knew Meik had that in him….not I…I hoped..BUT, these novellas were supposed to be pure erotica…no more…no less…but what a wonderful surprise to find out that Meik was WAY more than this super Alpha Dominant guy who treated people not necessarily like dirt but like they were there to serve him. Losing Sebastian brought on this trip to Meik’s past and brought us to the understanding we needed for WHY he was the way he was. I liked Gabe, I was intrigued by Sebastian but in the end, Meik has my heart.
After book 3 I had no idea how or where we were gonna finish this serial. To say that Meik becomes humanized sounds wrong but honestly it is the best word I can use to describe how much I ached to just hug him and tell him everything was going to be alright
This book was truly heartbreaking. I fell in love not only with Meik but Gabe also. We don’t see much of Sebastian in this one but the promise of his POV to come in the bundle is exciting.
I know that after reading this I was so torn. I loved Meik and Sebastian but I also love Meik and Gabe. I didn’t know who I wanted together the most nor did I want it to end. What I love most about Quin and Perin is that everything is left open ended and we can imagine our own HEA for the characters but also leaves it so that if they ever desire to return to these characters to give us more it is there for them to do.
This is the conclusion of Obsessed. I was thrilled with the more in depth background of previous relationships, and the realization of what love is. Not as much on the naughtiness, it gives so much more in feeling and it truly is a great story.
