I fell in love with this world during book one and each new installment has just been more incredible then the last. This one was no exception as it is the finale for Sleeping Courts journey. It is totally mind blowing with all kinds of stuff going on. Totally awesome and all have to read it!!! I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
It’s over… queue me sobbing. Oblivion is the fourth and final book in Verity’s story and it was freaking awesome. Everything has lead up to this, Verity has her guard by her side, loving, protecting, and supporting her. I loved every single second of it and narrator Joshua Macrae has done an excellent job again.
The competition for the crown has begun and things get crazy and violent, it was the best! While the politics in this book is a little crazy but typical, the magic was amped up. The magic in this world is complex, impressive, and detailed. I really enjoyed the magic duels between Verity and Adora, the magic came alive off of the page and made things very entertaining. Also the dialogue, the snark between Everybody and Adora, the steamy romantic scenes with Verity and her guard, just made the book, everything was just great.
Verity is still one of my favorite characters ever and her guard, I love every single one of them and I will admit I am jealous, I really think she has one of the best harems ever. Everyone gets along and is supportive of everyone, there are no assholes, and I could just feel the love and care off of the page. Plus everyone’s personalities were great, everyone brings something to the table. Not to mention we meet Nassar’s dad and OMG it was everything, I already love Nassar and now I love his dad too. Seriously the old man is something else, he was everything I thought he would be and more.
As for the plot, it was intriguing. In some aspects, I knew how the story was gonna end but in other ways, I had no idea it was gonna end that way, especially the scene near the very end, which was a total shock. The story comes to a bitter-sweet end because while I got my HEA, there is a moment that kinda broke my heart and I wish things could have turned out differently but I’m okay with it.
Oblivion may be the last book in Verity’s story but it’s not over yet, there is a whole Nightmare Court Universe to explore, following the other princesses and I am sure we will get to see or know more about Verity and her guard. I am looking forward to many more adventures in this world, princess Nymea of the Blood Court is up next and I can not tell you how excited I am.
The trials are over and we finally have our Queen on the throne! This was a great series with so many characters you can’t help but fall for and ones you cheer when they are brought down. So happy to see we have a happy ever after with this group.
I really enjoyed this story, this is book 4 of the series.
Princess Verity is competing against her cousin to become the next queen. She has built up her Guard but will they be enough?
Lots of gossip, backstabbing, secrets and a few surprises. Not forgetting lots of steamy moments with her Guard.
Great end to this part of the adventure.
The Sleeping Court Book Four. Final Book in the series.
After the trials faced by Verity and the other princesses’ guards, Verity must face down Adora to determine the next queen of Faerie. There are several trials each princess must win to pass on to the next level. While Adora has lived in Faerie her entire life, Verity has the support of several other courts, each of which is willing to help her move forward. Even Prince Aziz is involved in the trials. But even with Faerie on her side, can Verity truly win against an enemy so ruthless as the daughter of the current ruler?
If you’ve been waiting for the final trials in the competition for Queen of Faerie, the time has come.
The end but not so much! I can’t even begin to say how exciting, sexy, and amazing this story was from start to finish! I didn’t want to put it down despite obligations.
This book answers a bunch of questions but leaves you open to come back to this group. I cannot wait to see if there will be more coming. This fantastic ending will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.
Finale of all finales
Oh my God. I legitimately want to cry. I so did not want this story to end. It’s absolutely phenomenal. The series conclusion left me beyond words. The guard. Aziz(cold shower please). The trials. Verity. Alyx(right in the damn feels people). So much emotion. So many twists and turns. The trials are kind of brutal, but so fitting for the nightmare courts. I just.. I’m at a loss for words.
I didn’t want this series to end. I fell in love with Verity and her guard, especially Nassar. If it had to end though, I must say the authors did an amazing job at wrapping it up while dangling the chance at other Courts getting their stories. The action and intrigue never ended. I never knew what was going to happen next. It was a twisting roller coaster ride and my heart was in my throat worrying about my favorite Court. I’m looking forward to the next series these authors gift us with.
