This is a standalone by an author who believes in love at first sight. [ob-li-gey-shuh n]An obligation is a course of action that someone is required to take, whether legal or moral. At six years old, Myla was sent to a family her father and mother had chosen for her when they knew their time on earth was almost up. What they were unaware of was what they thought would be her safe haven would … her safe haven would become her living hell.
Kai has been watching Myla from afar since he took over the family business from his father and inherited the responsibility of keeping her safe. When word gets back to Kai that Myla is not only in danger, but that his assets are being compromised, he immediately jumps into action and does the only thing that can be done at the time by marrying her.
Neither Myla nor Kai would have thought that something that started off as a farce would become the most important thing either of them could’ve ever done.

Wow where can I find a man like Kai for myself!!!!! Kai and Myla met once when they were kids. But don’t see one another until years later when they are adults and Myla finds herself in a sticky situation. The only way Kai feels like he can protect her is by them getting married. At first Myla thinks their marriage is just based on a lie but Kai gets her to agree to actually try and make it work and be a real couple. These two go through a few speed bumps in the road with a few people not wanting them to be together and doing what they can to come between these two even if it means death. Now I won’t give any more away for fear of spoiling. So go read this amazing book, you won’t be disappointed.
Adored the First Moments at the beginning of this book, such a great way to start the book, and the prologue gives you all the back story on these two from when they met as children…loved it. Kai, always her protector.
Fast forward to present day…and our Kai aka Hawaiian warrior got hitched, lightning fast to Myla, still protecting her. I loved it. The first thing I want to say about Kai is, do not screw with him and anything he views as his. He does not, I repeat, does not screw around about keeping all of his people safe. He makes Kenton look like a kitten…just sayin. He is like the alpha of the alphas. Having said all of that, for me that is by far Kai’s best quality. Oh, and over, over the top. I love that he is fierce in all that he holds dear. I thought Myla was too, in her own way. When she takes down Pika…I laughed so hard when they had to reign her in. Loved that scene.
This was such a great storyline and as always, I was riveted to the pages, just couldn’t put it down…and didn’t want to. Plenty of action and suspense. This is the 2nd book of the series, she wraps up this couples storyline, but there is a main storyline that goes through each book, and little by little things get resolved. These two were soulmates at a young age, before they even understood that they were, #RelationshipGoals. And the heat between these two, wow, just wow. “You may not think you’re ready, but you were begging me for it…even in your sleep.” Yup, we get some middle of the night goodness *winks*. We get to see some of our favorite characters from the series and we gain some new favs too, like his family…his Uncle Frank….lmao…I can’t even. Oh, and Justin…still one of my favorites. Lots of baby batter, kick ass epilogue and an hea. Book crack series for sure.
This literally grabbed me from the first page! At 12 years old Kai unknowingly gives support and strength to Myla. He loses his heart and vows to watch over her no matter what.
Fast forward and danger is lurking. Kia will do all he can to keep Myla safe but will their hearts be safe?
I loved this book so much!! Kia and Myla made me feel soooo much!!
Love this series!
Kai is such a sweetheart, “I would never deny my wife,” he mutters, holding my eyes.” He gets all excited when his woman surprises him, “you bought me a ring.” He growls. I can’t read the look on his face so I just nod. “Thank you,” he whispers. Kissing me on my lips then down my neck to the tops of my breasts.” He can be a strange one and a total caveman which I love, “we just consummated our marriage on our divorce papers.” Kai that boy is wrapped around his woman’s fingers and will do anything for her even teach her to use a gun, “if youstillfeelthat way when I get home. I will teach you how to use one safely,” I promise.” I love this series I can’t wait for more.
