Or punish.
Hidden behind case reports and paperwork waits an omega afraid to give it all up.

A mistake during his teenage years has led to a lifetime of loneliness, and Owen refuses to surrender his heart again. He’s afraid to be hurt.
He’ll never let another alpha in.
But some rules are meant to be broken. When Owen meets Crawford and sparks fly, Owen has to decide if happiness is worth the risk. The choice is always his. He can walk away and embrace loneliness—
—or he can wear Crawford’s collar and obey.
Obey is a 42,000 word stand-alone novella packed full of steamy BDSM, MPreg, one of the hottest uses for an ice cube ever, and a happily ever after that proves in the end, love really does win.

I really loved this story. I love that Owen has to think about what he truly wants deep down and that sometimes having a choice means letting someone else take charge. There are other matters that come up as well where choices have to be made and there is power just in being able to make those choices.
I listened to the audio version which was well done and enjoyable.
What more could you ask for from Piper,. I read this book about a year ago but decided to listen to it as well. Wow, so much better in Audio, you ask how this book could improve, just listen for yourself. Great story, but the whole series is great. A must read if you like Mpreg.
Obey is the first book in the His Command series, a spinoff series from the Rutledge Brother series. Obey focuses on Owen Ellis, an omega counselor who was first introduced in “Save Me” book 2 of the Rutledge Brothers series. Owen counsels abused omegas, and has been working with the rescued omegas from The White Lotus, the illegal omega brothel that was raided and shutdown in book 1 of the Rutledge Brothers series. Owen has his own painful secrets that he hides away while at the same time he helps other omegas find their own self worth and confidence. Crawford Daniels is a rich alpha who owns Stonecrest, the rehabilitation center Owen works at. Crawford is not only rich, but a powerful Dom who is a member at The Shepard, a premier BDSM club in Aurora. When Owen and Crawford cross paths by happenchance, the connection is immediate and unmistakable. What follows is an almost insta-love type of romance with BDSM kink thrown in.
I really liked this book, but it has all the tropes that I adore: omegaverse with a protective alpha, BDSM, hot sex, and mpreg. The writing in this book is much better than Rutledge Brothers series, and the plot is better developed, but I wish there was more world building and character development. You can see the quality of Piper Scott’s writing improve in each book she writes. Overall, this book is a 3.5 stars for me, but I still found it incredibly enjoyable, especially if when I’m doing a binge reading of the entire Rutledge Brothers series, His Command series, and Single Dad series.
**** I received this Advanced Readers Copy for an honest review. ****
I really liked how this book was written. It was from a different POV for omegas that I have never seen before that I found really interesting. Most of the time Omegas are seen as weak but, in this book, Owen is a counselor and helps to empower omegas. He also happens to be one himself which is really inspiring. Obey shows the darker side of being an omega and what can happen to them or just a person in general who isn’t treated like a human being. It is impressive how much depth this book has with how many pages Piper Scott actually wrote.
Obey had some touching moments between the characters, especially between Crawford and Owen. They just have this magnetism about them. They go together like cheese and wine…whether they both would admit it at all times or not it is true. Oh and the steam scenes between them include some BDSM that will melt your clothes off and have you wanting more. Will the ending melt you heart too? Read it to find out!
Piper Scott’s Obey is the second book in His Command series. This is a steamy introduction to a fabulous, BDSM, non-shifter mpreg series that mixes sexy Demanding Alphas Nd strong omegas who aren’t afraid to submit.
In this installment, wemeet Owen and Crawford. They deliver a steamy story that will draw you in, keep you reading and leave you satisfied.
This is my review of the audiobook:
This was a really good story. Owen and Crawford were a great match, and it was enjoyable to watch Crawford teach Owen how to channel his natural submission into a D/s relationship, without becoming a beaten down omega. My favorite part of the book was when the men had been together for awhile, and Crawford began questioning Owen about his medical history. Things got more intense and the relationship between them became solid. I thought the narration was very well done, making each character distinct, and giving me a clearer image of both men in my mind.
I found this audiobook very well done, and I am curious to see what happens next in this series.
