The eagerly awaited sequel to the #1 New York Times bestselling Words of Radiance, from epic fantasy author Brandon Sanderson at the top of his game.In Oathbringer, the third volume of the New York Times bestselling Stormlight Archive, humanity faces a new Desolation with the return of the Voidbringers, a foe with numbers as great as their thirst for vengeance.Dalinar Kholin’s Alethi armies won a … vengeance.
Dalinar Kholin’s Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost: The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction, and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.
Nestled in the mountains high above the storms, in the tower city of Urithiru, Shallan Davar investigates the wonders of the ancient stronghold of the Knights Radiant and unearths dark secrets lurking in its depths. And Dalinar realizes that his holy mission to unite his homeland of Alethkar was too narrow in scope. Unless all the nations of Roshar can put aside Dalinar’s blood-soaked past and stand together–and unless Dalinar himself can confront that past–even the restoration of the Knights Radiant will not prevent the end of civilization.

Yet another Sanderson Opus! I can’t help but gush over this book, especially as it reveals the most about the Cosmere of any of his books (aside from, of course, Arcanum Unbound, whose entire premise is revelations of the Cosmere). If you are reading this review, all I can say is this: you’re either know how amazing Brandon Sanderson’s novels are already, or you’re on the wrong page. In which case I would recommend jumping into Sanderson starting with the Mistborn trilogy before these books. He is an amazing author, and if you want to know what to read, there’s a reading order infographic you can find by googling “Sanderson Reading Order”.
FANTASTIC!! Explained the rest of the books in the series came to a wonderful conclusion. It was very entertaining couldn’t put this book down. No dragging the story out was at a very nice speed and like a conductor leads his choir Brandon Sanderson brought in the crescendo.!! Loved this whole series but this was definitely my favorite book.
This 3rd book of the series is pretty awesome. It took a bit to get into, but Sanderson is a great writer and never ceases to amaze.
if you liked the earlier books in the series, this is a must.
And I’m not sure the story is finished!!
Amazing!
Love this series but this 3rd book is the worst. VERY boring and drags, drags, drags.
A fantastic followup to the ending of book two. It reads more like a season of a tv show than a movie.
Sanderson is amazing, this one does not disappoint!
Keep up the great work, Brandon!
Great book in the series!
Awesome…its that simple
Advances to story, but it turns out this is not a trilogy, but a longer series! Still enjoying it.
it is not scary
