Being raised by my abusive stepfather forced me to look outside my home for a male role model. I didn’t have to go far to find one. My freshman year in high school, Percy “P-Nut” Welsh moved next door.A patched member of SoCal’s notorious Filthy Fuckers MC, he was an easy man to admire and befriend. He was respectful, kind, and intelligent. We soon became close friends, and that friendship lasted … friendship lasted long after I graduated. As I grew older, my feelings for him changed, but I chose to keep my thoughts to myself.
When my life turned tragic one day, Percy stepped in and saved me.
He saw it as his duty.
I viewed at it as an opportunity.
I wanted him so bad I ached. There were two things that prevented me from having him:
One; I was a virgin, and I wasn’t about to give myself to someone who wasn’t committed.
And, two; Percy didn’t do relationships.
“NUTS” is a unique friends to lovers erotic romance tale that has no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and the most heartwarming of HEAs. Although it is book 5 of a series, it is a stand-alone novel that does not require reading any other novels in the series to enjoy.

Once again Scott Hildreth has outdone himself.
I’ve read every book in this series and have come to realize you just never know what your going to get. Each of these guys may seem like a typical badass biker, screwing their way through clubhouse whores without a care in the world but you’ll soon learn that each and every one of them have something special about them. It may be something be it dark or just tragic that made them the men they are, led them to the MC or it may just be loneliness, the need for a close knit group of brothers to make him feel whole. Either way you don’t know what your going to get other than one amazing read.
Nuts is Percy “P-Nut” Larsen’s story, and yes he’s a bit nuts.
He’s also amazing. He like most people has reasons why he keeps to himself, secrets that aren’t pretty. He’s strong, protective and exactly the kind of neighbor I want. He doesn’t trust easy, doesn’t openly show emotion to anyone other than his mom (which he takes such good care of, another huge selling point for this man!!) he’s a protector at his core and his neighbor is about to send that instinct into overdrive.
Joey has watched him for years. He moved in with his loud bike 7 years ago and she hasn’t been able to stop watching him. They became easy friends and eventually as she got older she saw him as more than a friend, realized she was attracted to him even though he’d never see the girl in oversize baggy clothes as anything but the little girl next door. So instead she enjoys every moment in his presence keeping her attraction to herself.
Then the day comes that she’s the one who needs defending and P-Nut is the man for the job.
He changes her life in ways she never expected, a freedom, a confidence she’s never experienced is now hers thanks to the only man who’s ever been this close.
She’s changing him as well. All the things he never thought he’d have, never expected he’d want again yet he does.
These two are amazing characters, both having experienced their own pain or tragedy yet being strong enough to soldier on and make a new life for themselves.
Two of a kind, both with huge hearts and strong will make them one of my favorite couples.
We all know I love a protective man and a strong heroine, I can’t stomach whiny broken women who refuse to even attempt to stand up for themselves and Joey is so not that woman. She’s been through hell but she’s moving on, taking zero shit and giving zero f*&ks.
5 stars.
A fun, exciting, and endearing story about trust, love, and loyalty. I absolutely loved the journey Joey and Percy went on. I laughed, I cried, and overall I was enthralled with this wonderful story.
Damn! I thought I may get through a Scott Hildreth book without crying!! And then the poker run and the speech by Bama and I am a hot mess!!
Another fantastic read! P-Nut is nuts, he is one crazy f*cker! He doesn’t trust easily and doesn’t let many close. But he will do what he needs to do to protect the MC and his brothers.
He and Joey connect and it is just beautiful, my heart melted. The honesty and respect between the two of them was just……love this book so much!
PNut (Percy), brother in the FFMC, trusts very few people and lives the life of a loner, letting few people in. He is loyal to a fault and ready to both kill for and die to protect his brothers in the club, living by the code of Respect, Loyalty, Trust and Honor.
Joey, almost 21, is living with a drunk and abusive step-father. Her escape is working at the Harley Shop and dreaming about her neighbor, Percy. She’s trying to save enough money to move out on her own, but isn’t there just yet.
When PNut sees bruises on Joey’s face, his code of beliefs requires him to take immediate action. After helping Joey move into his place, he teaches her stepfather a lesson he won’t soon forget. Even though they had lived next to one another for years, PNut finally begins to see that Joey is no longer the young and awkward teen she used to be and for the first time in his life, begins having feelings for a woman.
Scott Hildreth outdid himself with this book. PNut had so much more depth than I expected from the interactions we saw in prior books. While he portrays himself as a loner and tough as nails biker, he also cares for his elderly mother and lets his neighbor move in when she has nowhere else to go. Joey is smart and tough as nails, but extremely vulnerable due to not having a family who cares for her present in her life as well as scars that cover her legs. She can take care of herself, but for the first time since her mother died years before, she doesn’t have to.
The more PNut and Joey hang out, they more the discover just how well they fit together. It was fabulous to watch them both grow as individuals and as a new couple due to them bringing out the best qualities in one another.
I also enjoyed the surprise tie in with the Selected Sinners as PNut helps Joey learn more about her past.
This was a brilliant addition to the FFMC series. These books are raw and gritty and at times, emotionally tough, yet always leave you feeling lighter and freer by the end of the book.
5 stars!
This book knocked my all time favorite Scott Hildreth down to number 2.
I stayed up till 1:00 AM, couldn’t put it down.
A gritty, emotional, funny, page turner.
These two characters were perfect for each other and the friendship they had built over the years was a great foundation for what was coming.
Percy/P-Nut is a very unique individual. He’s been neighbors with Joey and her step dad for years. P-Nut definitely has a heart of gold. He does some questionable things with good intentions. Joey is the perfect one to balance out his crazy. The ATF agent is a perfect example.
