BAD IDEA #241: Sending a dirty text to your number neighbor. In my defense, my friends did it too, and their neighbors took it as the joke it was.Mine didn’t.He responded with a dirty text of his own. Next thing I know, I have a standing texting date every night at ten-thirty.Until I have to miss it because the stray kitten who adopted me one week ago is sick. The only person I know who can help … only person I know who can help me at this time of night is my British next-door neighbor and local vet, Isaac Cooper.
I’ll keep him overnight, he says. Here’s my number to call me in the morning, he says.
The problem?
I know that number.
Because I’ve been texting it every night for the last four days…

This book was cute and a quick read. Definitely a book full of laughs if that is what you are looking for in these times. Which is really important. It also goes into detail about how much of an asshole cats are and how sexy the British accent is. The author does hilarious old people like no other and I think you’ll enjoy the new shenanigans that they get in to.
*I received an ARC for an honest review*
I – loved – this – book!!!! Soooo much!! I thought the Number Neighbors is a super cute concept and with Emma Hart writing it, there’s no way it can go wrong!! Hart continues to give us characters we love and that I can’t the enough of! Hannah and Isaac quickly go from fun and flirting texting to seriously sexy texting. My favorite part of reading an Emma Hart book is the way I end up spending the entire story smiling like a buffoon. I love it!!
I just can’t recommend this story (or really any of Emma Harts books). There’s this endeering quality to all her books. We get adorable kitty stories and an upbeat and hella sexy story with Emma Harts snarky and teen boyish homor… no problem here!! I love her humor!! I’m looking forward to what is up next!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.

What a perfectly fun and flirty that had the most unusual start up. This book kept my attention and had me chuckling the whole way through as the chemistry and banter between the characters paved the way.
‘Number Neighbours’ is the newest release by the incredibly funny Emma Hart. Hart has a way of turning the most embarrassingly awkward situations into funny plots in her book, and this one was no exception.
The book is about Hannah a singleton who after having some drinks with her cousins is coerced into sending a dirty text to her number neighbour (someone with same number bar one digit).
At first it is a harmless laugh, however when Hannah’s Stranger responds with his own witty remarks, a spark of conversation begins and eventually it leads to mysterious sexts.
But what starts out as hilarious soon turns into an embarrassing nightmare when Hannah realises by pure chance that the stranger on the other end of the line, is not actually a stranger!
This book is full of witty one liners, and I love how normal Harts books are. Her characters are real down to earth people who have the same clumsy mishaps and moments that are relatable and cringeworthy.
I loved the plot, loved the continuation of Hannah’s grandmothers book club and most of all I enjoyed reading about Isaac.
This is a lighthearted read that is fast paced and is guard to put a smile on your face. The book is on the hotter scale for romance, but will have you laughing out loud.
4.5 Stars
Number Neighbors is the latest stand-alone rom-com by Emma Hart. I needed this book because everything going on in the world right now is so stressful. I needed the laughter and Ms. Hart surely delivered. NN had me laughing out loud and grinning from ear to ear. It had me blushing right alongside Hannah. I seriously could not put it down!
Isaac and Hannah are two hilarious characters. Isaac is a dirty talkin’ dry witted character and Hannah with her sassiness had me rolling. What I loved most about them was their chemistry. Sometimes you miss that connection with rom-coms but I can assure you get it in spades. I also loved the side characters, especially Hannah’s family. They literally are crazy-but in a good way.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this story. Ms. Hart is a go to author for me and she continues to entertain me for hours and hours. If you need a break and need some laughter and hot as hell characters in your life, this book is for you!
Jesus, dirty talk in a British accent was heaven.
I think this was the hottest book I have ever read from Emma Hart. She is always my go-to author for a quick laugh but this time she really upped the steam and chemistry in her book. I love the plot of this book and how she ends up sexting with her number neighbor! And holy hell that sexting! Prepare yourself for getting all hot and bothered and when you finally think it is really getting steamy you end up laughing because well it is an Emma Hart book.
As always I adore the heroine Hannah! She is fun, sassy, weird and so cute you can’t help to love her! She will keep you giggling throughout the entire book and then throw in her grandma and you will start to laugh like a crazy person.
“I think we’re done here.” “Do you?” “I wouldn’t have said it otherwise.” “I was being sarcastic, Hannah.” “I know. I chose to ignore it. You’re not very good at it.”
Isaac is amazing. He keeps up with Hannah and her family throughout the entire book no matter how crazy it gets. He just jumps right in and gets crazy with them. He is so hot and is for sure the reason for the steam level in this book. As I always say about Emma Hart’s book couples the hero (Isaac) grounds the heroine (Hannah) so much and makes her a little more sane or well maybe not sane but you know balance her out…
“Are you aware that you’re an eighty-year-old bully?” “Yes, dear, but you’re confusing me with someone who gives a shit.”
So are you looking for a fun read that will have you laughing, thinking what the hell am I reading ( in the best possible way), with some sexy time in it and a crazy family that you want to be a part of (most of the time) then this is your book.
As always if you ever need a laugh I recommend all of Emma Hart’s books because that woman can write sassy, funny heroines like no other and always makes me want to get inside of her head just to see how crazy she is in real life. (Again In the best possible way!)
Hannah texts her neighbor number on the (insert sarcasm) great idea of her friends. They get funny replies and she gets a HOT one. They text each other with hotter texts each night until her not her kitten gets sick and she needs the next door neighbor Isaac who’s a vet to look at him. To say she is shocked that his number is the one that’s she been texting is an understatement.
Isaac is just as shocked to find out it’s Hannah that he’s been texting too. Hannah wants to ignore it but Isaac has other plans. He wants to see where it leads. Let me tell you the chemistry between these two is crazy hot!! Will they be more than just neighbors that sexted when all is said and done?
Throw in her grandma and her book club friends and you’ll be laughing and shaking your head at them. I wish I knew a grandma like her because yeah, I’d definitely want to be her friend.
Number Neighbors was funny, cute, and fun to read. I enjoyed this book more than Frenemies. The chemistry between Hannah and Isaac was combustible. Add in quirky Grandma Jen and her bookclub cronies of mischief, and you will be laughing your butt off. While this is a fluid story, I wish that there could have been a lot more of the mystery texts. I loved how in Frenemies, Hannah was so exasperated and flustered about Isaac. I wanted to see more of this type of reaction from her in Number Neighbors. Isaac is an animal-loving, British-speaking, drool-worthy hottie. I love how fast he falls for Hannah and how he loves her comical side. Overall, this is a light-hearted laugh-out-loud read, just wish it was longer with a little more meat to it.
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
Number Neighbors is the latest rom-com laced with the signature style I’ve come to love from Emma Hart. Who else can bring you characters over the age of 80 you love and want more of?!
Hannah & Isaac were both briefly introduced in Frenemies and I was really excited about their story, especially once I read the blurb. Emma Hart always gives us the best heroines – the quirky, awkward types with zero filter. Hannah was just what I was expecting, and add in some sexting with a sexy stranger and the comedy level is elevated a million times! And then there’s Isaac – a gorgeous Brit who takes care of animals, need I say more?
The beginning of their story was amazing, and while I loved how fun & awkward it was when they realized who they had been texting I wish we got a bit more of the texts. It was fun & sexy and definitely left me wanting a bit more. All in all I loved this book, it’s light, funny and an easy drama free read.
I loved these characters, the way they started and the pop-ins from Mason & Immy. But above all, I loved the Pensioners. They bring comedy and awkwardness and everything in between, and I’m going to continue badgering Emma Hart to give them their own series!
Emma Hart has a very good writing style! She is witty, modern and is not afraid of writing characters that are edgy and have something to say.
Hannah and Isaac know each other as neighbors but start relationship without knowing who they are. It is fun how they finally realized who they were sexting with and how to move on from that.
Hannah is insecure and Issac is curious and all while taking care of the cat Lucifer (don’t ask!!).
The book is full of great scenes and great writing and I just love this wonderful book.
This book is full of laughs, romance and of course a cat and an amazing book club! Emma does not disappoint. Another great romcom! I love Hannah and Isaac so much! Such a fun read!
Fantastic! Simple as that!!
With Number Neighbors Emma Hart brings us another fantastic laugh out loud hot as hell no drama llama romcom!!!
One drunken night Hannah decides to text her number and see what happens. She didn’t think the NN would answer, nor that she would sext with him…
Until she gets the phone number from her hot british neighbor in real life, as known as the vet in town, and realizes he’s the NN!!
Loved this book a lot, had so many laugh out loud moments, and finished this book in one sitting!!!
Number Neighbors follows the story of Hannah and Isaac. Hannah and Isaac’s story had quite an interesting start. It started off as a fun moment between friends where they would text their number neighbors. But, when Hannah texted her number neighbor, she got a little more than what she bargained for. It was supposed to be one night of naughty texting with a mysterious stranger, but it quickly turned into more. Suddenly, Hannah has a standing sexting date every night. It’s fun and exciting…that is until Hannah accidentally discovers who her number neighbor is….
Number Neighbors was a fun and sexy read. I loved the interactions between Hannah and Isaac. Their sexting was hotter than hot, but their in person chemistry burned even hotter. These two made me laugh and had me hanging on each word and interaction. The supporting cast added to the humor and entertaining moments.
Number Neighbors is a wonderful romantic comedy. It’s fun and entertaining. It’s sexy and has lots of laugh out loud moments. And the best part is there is no drama. It’s just a straight up romantic comedy that will leave you with a smile on your face.
Emma Hart proves, yet again, why she is an automatic one-click author for me. Number Neighbors is a sweet, sexy, fun read that will have you laughing out loud all while falling in love.
I absolutely loved Hannah and Isaac. Hannah is sweet, sassy and so the kind of girl that I would be friends with. Isaac is a just a good guy. I mean who couldn’t love a sexy veterinarian with a British accent. He had me swooning hard from the start.
Oh and Grandma Jen! She is hilariously crazy and I kept turning the pages so I could find out the next thing she would do. I love that woman and so hope to see more from her!
I couldn’t get enough of this one. I read it in one sitting. I highly recommend picking this one up!
A hilarious neighbour romance from the quirky mind of this author.
A vet with a British accent clashes tongues and texts with a combative girl who has almost adopted a kitten. The exchanges between these two characters are provocative, sarcastic, and engrossing.
Every time I read a story by EH, I have to brace for impact. The cutting dialogues seem like a long intake of breath that leave you exhausted with anticipation and incredulous smiles. The couple here has a unique problem. They have texted each other anonymously with very wanton expectations, and those scenes are both funny and hot. Great way to start the story. When they find out their identities, shame and possibilities explode between them. Loved it!
I enjoyed the unorthodox book club of bold grannies with their shameless talks, the sweet yet sharp-clawed cat, the kind and imperviously curious hunk vet. He is easygoing, charming, a man who helps animals. I liked him a lot. Especially because he manages to convince Hannah and her cautious attitude to give their insane attraction a chance.
With all the scenes about animals and friends and grandmas, the plot actually shows the beginnings of a relationship with the get-to-meet-you dialogues, the mind-blowing passion, and the first tentative steps towards trust. I had a good time with the plant annecdote, the shelter visit, and the dates. A nice romcom.
What a fantastic funny entertaining read.
Number Neighbors is a book that will have you laughing out loud from the first couple of pages.
Hannah and her friends come up with a fun way for Hannah to get some romance in her life by sending a text to her number neighbor. She never expected an answer but what she got was a heated conversation that got hotter with every night they chatted or should I say sexted…..
A kitten has adopted Hannah and one night he gets so sick and she needs help, who better than Isaac her next door neighbor who happens to be a vet but what happens when the hot neighbor with the British accent gives Hannah his number and she realises it’s a number she already knows…..
I loved Hannah and Isaac, the chemistry they share is electrifying and banter is witty but for me it was Grandma and her friends who stole the show with their antics and classic lines, I want a grandma like Hannah’s !!!!
If you are looking for a fun entertaining read look no further than this gem, it’s a must read for all rom-com lovers. Looking forward to what’s next from the queen of romantic comedy.
I so NEEDED this book right now!!! Absolutely freaking hilarious from beginning to end and this is why Emma Hart is the master of RomCom! Hannah and Isaac were fun, witty, oh so sexy but OMFG Grandma Jen takes the damn cake. There were so many crossover characters from Frenemies that it was fun to revisit them again and catch up. If you need a pick me up, a laugh that’ll leave tears in your eyes, a book that you just can’t put down this is one you MUST one-click right away and prepare to laugh your ass off!
“Number Neighbors” by Emma Hart was exactly the book I needed to read right now to put a smile on my face and escape from the craziness of the real world. It was hysterically funny, sweetly romantic, and steamy at the same time, and I adored it.
The male lead character, British veterinarian Isaac, was a fantastic and completely swoon-worthy book boyfriend. His love for animals and sense of humor made him a great match for the female lead, Hannah, who was wonderfully snarky and independent. Their banter was very amusing, and I laughed out loud during many of their conversations. I especially loved when they argued over American vs. British words and sayings (mainly because I’m a language nerd and find differences in dialects fascinating).
The secondary characters in this book were also a tremendous amount of fun, especially Hannah’s matchmaking Grandma Jen and Jen’s friends from book club. I loved Hannah’s “attack kitten,” Lucifer, too. She could deny that she was keeping him all she wanted, but her love for him was clear in the way she took such good care of him.
Overall, I loved “Number Neighbors” and can’t wait for Ms. Hart’s next release!

OMG this book was the most amazing, entertaining story that left me with a huge smile on my face.
The characters were so much fun, they had sizzling chemistry and the banter throughout the story was so flipping good. They have made a huge impact on how much fun they would be as real life friends. Im not even kidding one bit!!!
Its a testament to the authors writing talent when you just dont want a book to end and you just dont want to put the book down to deal with everyday life.
She has written a captivating romantic comedy that is just what the doctor ordered. Both Isaac and Hannah have the same thoughts, the same feels and when it comes down to it, should you reveal your innermost concerns???
This book was everything and so much more. Its an absolutely must read in my honest opinion. Go 1 click right now!!!!!
Number Neighbors is Emma Hart’s newest funny AF novel. It is a complete standalone but if you read Frenemies then you will remember Hannah, Imogen’s cousin and prank partner! Well, this is her story…
Who said sending a dirty text to you number neighbor was a good idea? Nobody, that’s who! Except, it was done by three women who had been drinking and having fun. And it was all fun and games till Hannah’s number neighbor texts back and is all for the dirty talk. So much so that it happens for a few nights. That was until she was hot with reality! Her number neighbors is her actual neighbor. As in her hot AF British neighbor who was also the sexy Vet in town. The one she has been crushing on since he moved in next door months ago. She was so f*cked and if Isaac was anything like he was in his texts…
Omg!! This book is hilarious!! I love Isaac, he is blunt, swoon-worthy, sweet, and funny. And damn, his accent? Yum!! And I might just have a girl crush on Hannah. She is feisty, funny and smart. Together, their banter is epic. Their chemistry is hot. Their story is sooo good. Emma added so much heat to this one. It was a perfect blend of all the feels.
P.S. I Grandma Jean!
Quotes:
“Are you aware that you’re an eighty-year-old bully?”
“Yes, dear, but you’re confusing me with someone who gives a shit.”
IMMY: Do you think he fucks with a British accent?
ME: I can’t talk to you when you’re like this.
“Thank God. I was thirty seconds away from needing to go wank in the shower.”
“Have you done that?”
“Oh, sure. All the British words, and ‘wank’ is the one you know.”
I grinned. “I know the important ones.”
