Praised by #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely, as “Passionate, emotional and uplifting!”, contemporary romance author Sarah Robinson brings readers a new standalone novel set in the glamorous hills of Hollywood and tackling challenging themes like the intersection of sexuality and female empowerment.Ben Lawson is making a comeback…After a few tabloid headlines, they think they … comeback…
After a few tabloid headlines, they think they know me. They don’t know a damn thing. As CEO of a movie production company, I’ll show them who I really am when we hit it big at the box office. My ex thought her smear tactics would ruin me, but I’m unbreakable. Rising from the debris, I swore I’d never let a woman distract me like that again. But then, my leading actress walked on the set and changed everything.
Seductive, sexy, and unapologetic, Aria Rose could break me. I wanted to help her, protect her…love her. Instead, I destroyed her.
Aria Rose is baring it all….
I knew better. I knew not to trust another Hollywood heartthrob with a reputation like his. He was my boss and became my ruin. I should have stayed far away from him. Ben Lawson promised me the world. He even promised me his heart.
But he destroyed everything–my heart, my career, us.

I liked this story very much 🙂 I liked the plot line, the flow of the story as well. The chemistry between Ben and Aria was incredibly hot and sexy too 😉
Of course, in every story, there’s always going to be something like drama, exes, obstacles to overcome and even though there was a moment where I screamed in frustration, at the end this was worth reading.
Like I said before, I enjoyed reading Ben and his Aria’s story very much and I actually liked the epilogue. It was simple, yet beautifully satisfactorily for me
Aria and Ben meet when he takes over management of the studio that is making her latest movie. He has bad history dating actresses in the past and has no interest in letting himself get distracted. Aria has made bad choices in the men she dates in the past and isn’t ready to trust her judgement. Despite this they are drawn to each other.
I love how the author weaves so many emotionally charged issues into this love story. Aria deals with issues that would never be mentioned as a man in her industry. I loved her strength and the fact that Ben is truly a good guy who is trying to right a wrong. From laughter to tears this one gives you all the feels.
Nudes by Sarah Robinson is the first book in the Exposed Trilogy Hollywood Romance series and the first one that I have read by this author. The author brings the expected romance and misunderstandings. However, there is much more to the novel once you get into it.
Ben Lawson is the new CEO of a movie production company and Aria Rose/Aria Reynolds is the female lead in the latest movie that is being filmed. Despite their better judgement, they have chemistry and start a secret affair. When intimate photos surface of Aria, it seems that both of their dreams are destroyed. Both characters had strengths and flaws that made them more relatable and there is a nice variety of secondary characters that provide conflict and support.
Going into this novel, I thought it might be a 3 star read, but the latter part of the book upped that a star. But in addition to the usual intense connections and steamy scenes, the book tackles some important issues including family, friendship, trust, image, the importance of reading a document before you sign it, and the different ways women and men are treated when something private is leaked, as well as the various responses to such an event. Therefore, there are also themes of gender equality, women’s rights, and exploitation.
The prose was well-written and engaging, but I could have done without some of the language. Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read that tackles some serious issues.
Thanks to the author for a complimentary copy of this novel through a giveaway and the opportunity to read and provide an honest review. Opinions are mine alone and are not biased in any way. The publication date was May 22, 2017.
wow another amazing read by the Talented Sarah Robinson. Just devoured this book in one sitting it was just so good.
While this book is centred around a romance between Aria an up & coming actress and Ben the new head of the studio where she just finished shooting her latest movie. It comes so much more when her former lover decides to get even by releasing nude photo’s of her and the aftermath of that. How women are treated not only in Hollywood and the rest of the world not just by men but by other women. The sad part was the responses to the photo’s were taken from real life and actually said to people.
Will Aria rise above all the negativity and prove everyone deserve to given a chance based on talent not looks or what is said in the media
Can’t wait to read the next book in this series Bare when it comes out
I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s such a romantic comedy in every sense. Aria is so full of life and determination that she is a force to be reckoned with. Whereas Brian is quiet and reserved, but when they both come together everything just becomes clear and sync. I love that the author brings in the true Hollywood cliches in this story. I also, love the little mishaps along the way to the big misunderstanding. I must say that Brian and Aria’s story can be that of an actual celebrity life. I just life when an author can bring reality into their stories.
Nudes definitely lived up to all of its early praise. I had to read the dedication twice because it just blew me away. You can say this book is many things: It’s a story about soulmates and it’s a story about two people learning to trust again. But most of all I think its Aria’s story. Most books have you rallying for the couple. Now I’m not saying I didn’t in Nudes but it’s hands down about Aria’s struggle to rebuild her life and career. There’s no denying Ben and Aria’s chemistry is off the charts. Even after their brief time together the interactions that followed left my heart aching. You could feel their want for each other in their words. I loved the way the story came together at the end. It packed a powerful punch. This book was nothing short of amazing. I wish there was something age appropriate for my teenager to read so she could learn a valuable lesson, especially in today’s day and age.
Not my kind of book
Loved this entire series I could see them as a movie especially combining all three stories
Review in Exposed boxed set.
To long, couldn’t get into it.
love this story and the lessons portrayed
I liked it. It can be read individually although there are others in the series that also can be read alone.
First of all, I have to mention the dedication, it’s the best one I have ever seen.
I loved reading about Aria and Ben, their chemistry and attraction bounced off the pages so undeniable even they couldn’t keep away from each other.
I can see where the author wanted to go with this story and deliver a message about shaming women but it fell flat towards the end.
It is a lovely romantic story though.
4.5 Stars
This was a beautiful story filled with strength and empowerment. Not only did Sarah Robinson write a great love story filled with wonderful chemistry between the characters, but she managed to deliver a great message relative to the double standard women have had to fight against for -what feels like forever in a matriarchal society.
Though what Aria experienced in this story happens in any industry, it’s more prominently seen in the movie industry and across social media. It’s ridiculousness of the fact that it’s still such an issue for women in 2018 is why things like the #MeToo movement are making such an impact. Just like Aria did, it’s time women start to push back against the sexist and demeaning attitudes we face most days.
This was a great story that left me feeling empowered.
I have tons of warm fuzzies but you probably don’t know why…
Nudes is a pretty awesome story… I enjoyed the writing. I enjoyed the storyline. But the absolute clincher was the message, this book has heart. It wasn’t written just to tell a Hollywood romance. No, it has a point.
I think that point makes this book worth a lot more than others in the genre. I’m not book shaming because I am a certified book whore. I love them all, morals or not. But when a book is used for good (cue super hero music), it seems to stick with us even more.
This book will stick with you. Whether for the heinous acts and words or because it touched you in a way that lifted you up, Nudes will be on your mind long after you finish
Just like everybody else, I was waiting for this book to release for quite some time. And knowing already Robinson’s amazing writing mind, it only made me more excited to read it.
NUDES is the first novel in her new series EXPOSED whose field of interest is the “almighty” Hollywood. In the first part, Sarah introduces us to a very unique couple whose love is tested when a Hollywood-y exposure is out to destroy the one of them.
Ben & Aria. A producer and a rising actress. Two individuals whose paths cross when Ben becomes the head of the studio that is producing the movie Aria plays the lead female. The attraction between them is instant and impossible to miss. You just can’t take your eyes off them. They go from co-workers to friends to lovers – a bit too fats for my taste -, which works as the strong foundation their relationship will need and gives them the tools to deal with the “scandal” that lies ahead.
Although, this time, it’s not all about the love story. The layer that it hides beneath is the real gem of this book. And that layer has written the letters “Double Standard” on it. Robinson, with putting Aria through the chaos the publishing of her nude photos cause, hits bull’s eye and makes a loud statement about the still existence of it. With her own amazing way, she shows all the “checks” and “rules” a working woman – especially one who is a public figure – has to go through and follow so she can be acceptable and respected. She shows that even if we want to say that we live in the 21st century where the things keeps evolving, we still hold onto an old thinking which insists to diminish the women.
Once again, this magnificent top-fave-of-mine author not only creates a love story that sweeps you away and makes you fly, but also sculptures characters who touch every teeny tiny corner of your heart and blow you away with their realness, depth and substance. Both are passionate, determined and two of the best fighters I have ever seen. They take their life in their hands, run for it and they don’t stop until they pass first the finish line. And I have to admit that I developed a major crush on Aria after the way she dealt with the chaos. She mastered it to perfection, leaving no questions about who is the boss of her life. Especially the letter – those who have read it know what I’m talking about – she wrote towards the end was the perfect icing this cake needed. And then came the cherry on top; the Epilogue! The overwhelming giddiness I felt after reading that can’t be described. I wouldn’t have asked for a better finale.
I’ve been a Robinson junkie for quite some time and undoubtedly she is one of the best authors I have ever read. One of the best of the best, actually. I couldn’t feel more elated and grateful that I discovered her because she deserves every praise she gets and then some more. Her stories, one after another, have made me a “slave” of the worlds she creates and every time I come across a new one, I go totally blind since I know very well the beauty she delivers every time. For those who haven’t read her yet, you should probably do ASAP. You will fall madly in love with everything every one of her stories is. BARE can’t get here soon enough and I can’t wait to see what else this woman has up her sleeve. And what a sleeve really!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Ben Lawson is on his way to a great comeback. A bitter divorce and tabloid stories just about destroyed his career. He is the CEO of a movie production company and is determined to make amazing movies and get the failing movie company back on it’s feet. After the disaster with his ex-wife he has vowed to never let a woman distract him again. But, once he meets the leading lady on the set of the next blockbuster movie everything changes. Aria Rose is the woman who could break Ben. He wants nothing more than to protect her, help her, even love her. But instead he ends up destroying her.
Aria Rose new better than to get involved with anyone in the movie business. She knew better than to trust someone like Ben, a Hollywood heartthrob with a reputation. He is after all her boss who became her ruin. Ben promised her the world. He even promised her his heart. Now he has destroyed everything. Her heart, career and them.
I really loved this book. Aria and Ben are both such relatable characters. They meet on a movie set. She is the actress in her first big screen movie and his is the new CEO of the company making the film. Aria has been burnt by the Hollywood types before and she has no desire to ever put herself in that position again. Ben has been through a nasty divorce. His ex decided it was cool to sell her stories and been secrets to the tabloids. She destroyed his reputation and his career all in one fail swoop. He has sworn off actresses. Until he sees Aria Rose and everything changes. I loved how Aria was at heart a girl who fought for her career and earned it on her own and that was what was most important to her. She was a extremely private person too and didn’t deal much with the tabloid reports until she made her newest movie. I love how they swore to have a free weekend and that was it but couldn’t get each other out of their system.
This is a story of soulmates. I firmly believe in soulmates so this book was a lot of fun for me to read. Sarah Robinson has written a book that is full of angst and drama. Nudes is one you do not want to miss.
