Being bad never felt so good…The office is full of rules. Making a charity calendar of the hot guys on your floor? Not allowed. Shrinking your boss’ underwear when he sends it for dry cleaning? Can’t do that either. But those things preserve the natural order. Because Avery Banks, our resident rising star, is a shark. The tall, blond, and gorgeous kind with zero patience and even less … zero patience and even less forgiveness.
Good thing I’m the Mae West of executive assistants. I live to put grown men in their place.
He wasn’t supposed to find out.
Now he’s made it his personal mission to screw me the way I screwed him. I’m at his beck and call for every humiliating request.
Until we stumble on a new game. One we both want to play. One we both need to win.
And once we start…Avery doesn’t want to replace me. I don’t want him to.
All I want is more of this. The fire under the ice. What happens behind closed doors.
It’s twisted, and so damn hot. But he’s my boss. And with the company coming off a scandal even I couldn’t engineer? What we’re doing is strictly NSFW.
Lucky for me, Avery and I have one thing in common…
We both suck at following the rules.
NSFW is a smart, quirky and HOT enemies-to-lovers office romance! Book two in the hit series about a quirky group of young gaming and finance professionals in Boston. Each book is standalone.

Entertaining steamy read!
This is the hot, and steamy story of Avery, and Charlie, these 2 definitely don’t like each other, Charlie works for Avery, but he can’t stand her. But one night, the lust attraction is too much to deny, and they share a kiss. This was an entertaining read, the characters are well written, and they have great chemistry. This book is emotional, passionate, intense, funny, and dramatic.

This is the story of Charlotte and Avery. I like how sassy Charlotte is after Avery is such a jerk to her. After agreeing to continue working for him after he fires her to help him out of a jam, they start to get to know each other better. Sparks fly and their chemistry sizzles but the twists bring an interesting turn to this story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you read the previous book Play, you know that Charlie is always the prankster. She has pulled one too many pranks on her boss Avery and he wants to fire her. He postpones her dismissal because he needs her to help him get a promotion. While working closely together the sparks start to fly. This is a sexy, hot, and at times hilarious book you won’t want to put down.

Wow. What can I say. I absolutely love Avery and Charlie. I love how brave Charlie is, how giving, how crazy she can make Avery. I love that Avery learns a big life lesson. I love the secondary characters. I love the writing, the backstories, the character interaction and depth of the character building. I have a big stupid grin on my face after reading this book and a feel good wiggle in my chest. I will definitely be looking for Payten and Max’s story and Riley and Sam’s. Charlie’s Grams made me smile every time she appears or is spoken about. I was concerned when Rose came on the scene. So glad that went the way it did. I love Mia and Kenna and Martin and well, just everyone, every word, every page.

Work it
At work, Charlotte “Charlie” is sassy and young. Avery is her boss, who she’s always pranking, in an effort to get him to notice her.

This book seems to have it all. It’s funny. It’s poignant. It is hysterical. It’s heartbreaking. It’s exasperating – or at least Avery is often. It’s sizzling. It’s everything I could want in a delicious novel.

This was a terrific story. It was a wildly intense story and I loved every single page. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This author does a great job of bringing us well developed and engaging characters with loads of chemistry. The storyline flowed smoothly.

This is an office romance between an office assistant, Charlie and her boss, Avery with a spin. Charlie is Avery’s personal assistant which means she does everything from get the coffee/dry cleaning to keeping Avery on schedule and anything else that comes up. Charlie is sure that he hates her. In fact, one day she is fired then rehired to organize a client gala. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. The antics these two play on each other is entertaining as each one tries to up the previous one. However, what happens when you reach the top of the professional line and in order to best the last, you need to cross that line. Do you cross it? If you do, is there a new line or is it open season? Are you ready for open season? I enjoyed reading this story and the back and forth between the characters kept it sassy and funny. Enjoy!

This is the second book the Play series by Piper Lawson and I really enjoyed this story as much as the first. This is a enemies to lovers’ set in the office and is such a great read. You first met Charlie and Avery in Play and it was nice for them to have their own story. Everything about this story was wonderful. The characters, the story, twist and turns, and the heat. The heat between Charlie and Avery was enough to burn my Kindle. You won’t be disappointed in picking up this story. I can’t wait to read what is coming up next in this series and more.

Loved all three books in this series Play, NSFW, and Rise.
The story of Avery and Charlotte was much like the story of Peyton and Max in Play(the 1st book). I liked Charlotte’s spunk and her pranks, but feel in real life, she would most likely have been fired on the spot. Immature, but funny. The plot was mostly predictable. She finds him hot, but won’t act on it because he is her uptight, arrogant boss. He secretly finds her hot, as well, and won’t act on it because he is her boss and his eye is on the prize (promotion). Avery also declares he does not “do” relationships. Of course, the two are trapped in a closet and the magic begins. They have sex, develop feelings, she leaves, he gets promo, comes back to her and that is the end. Even though, I thought it was humorous, and I liked it better than Play, I won’t read the last book in this series. Neither was a could not put down, in my opinion.
Loved this book, real page turner, couldn’t put it down.
I enjoyed reading this book so much!
Note there are grammatical errors throughout, some aren’t as obvious as others and I dont feel that they took away from the story.
I love Charlie. Her antics had me laughing and the author did a wonderful job of bringing out her emotions through the words. How Charlie lives is very relatable to every day life. And Avery… sigh… that’s all that needs to be said for that gorgeous man lol.
This book has its ups and its downs and ends with a H.E.A. I plan to read other books by this author and hope they are as entertaining as this one is.
*note some sensitive subjects are hit upon in this book (miscarriage, death) but done in a clean, delicate way
What a cute story! Witty characters and funny situations. This would be a great book for an informal book club with your best gal pals and a bottle of wine.
A fun read
lol funny
