Nowhere Nara (Gifted Girls Series, Book 3) by Debra Kristi is an awesome story to read. This is book number three in this awesome series that I can not get enough of. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

A story being told from the point of view of the main character can draw you deeply in. But if said character is dead and ghostly and with missing memories… then you are in for a crazy adventurous ride.
Nara’s mysterious death has caused a rift in the family, bringing also a new development in the relationships among her closest friends. When Dylan, the one person she felt an irresistible pull to, joins her in death, Nara becomes firmly determined to find out the circumstances of her death and the truth about her own family. However, it seems that her best (and maybe only) hope is her eleven-years-old sister..
Heart-touching and dramatic, the story shows the family bonds in a completely new light. Death is not the end, it’s a new beginning, and a chance for exploring the options of the life beyond. Nara’s death is a great mystery, and watching the mess become untangled and clear is a journey worth following. I also very much adored the dynamics between the family members, especially the attitude of Nara’s dad… despite all arguments, mistakes, faults, flaws, or bad decisions, the family love shines bright and unites them all in a bond stronger than anything. I absolutely loved it.
This is the third book in the “Gifted Girls Series” series.

I wish I didn’t have to wait so long to read this book, it toke me a few chapters for everything thing to come back to me. We start this book at Nara’s funeral. She is stuck in her house and don’t remember her life or how she died, but she knows it’s not how they say. What will she do? Can she figure it out? How will her family and friends figure into everything?
Each book in this series is better than the one before it. There is so much to be learned from this book in particular. The first thing that comes to mind is repressing who you are is dangerous to yourself and those you love.

This is a wonderful book from beginning to end. I couldn’t wait to see what happened to Nara. I don’t want to give things away but I can say that you will be pleasantly surprised by the storyline. Easy to read and enjoyable with twists.

Ethereal. Magic mixed with the afterlife, emotions, family, and a host of mysteries to be solved. A great plot that twists and turns around on itself like a tributary stream until it reaches the main stream and clarity.

Nara is a teenager in high school when she finds herself dead, has lost her memories of her friends, and has few memories of her past with her family. Holding onto the hope that she will discover how she ended up dead, Nara clings to her pictures splayed on her wall and soon discovers that those friends are the center of solving the problem of how she died.
If you are looking for a fast pace book this is not thw one for you. Nowhere Nara maintains a slow, steady, at times-crawling pace. It is a good read for a nice rainy day.

I would definitely recommend this book, although I did have a little bit of trouble reading it first instead of starting at the beginning with book #1 as I am a little bit OCD about that kind of thing! Otherwise it was a great storyline and I’m now going back and reading the first and second books in the series. You definitely want to read this!

CHOICES MADE MAY LAST FOREVER
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
Nara is a natural blood witch who dies as a teen. She can’t remember how she died or what happened. She tries to remember and gets bits and pieces of her life whenever she touches people. Three main characters make up the last minutes of her life, Aaron, whom she knows was her boyfriend, Renee, who was her best friend since kindergarten, and Dylan, whom she’s not sure what their connection is. Nara is pulled into a family problem that spans generations and will need help from the least expected people to pull through after she makes an afterlife altering decision.
I have to admit, Nowhere Nara was not what I expected! After reading the first 2 in this series I was expecting a different storyline. After the initial confusion on my part I got my bearings and enjoyed the book. A teen amnesiac ghost of a witch not knowing how she died or that she is a witch is really innovative concept. As it goes along there is a lot of possible suspects on who/what killed her. The official COD is listed as suicide but she knows it is wrong. The plot twists when her true love is killed and also becomes a ghost. What outside forces are behind her death? Her BFF? Her boyfriend with a violent tendency? What did the mysterious jewelry have to do with it? As her memory returns and she finds out more about her family and past the suspense deepens. Nara must make a devastating choice. There is a heartwrenching climax. This is such a fantastic series! Nowhere Nara is definitely a jewel in the author’s crown!
I received an ARC. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Nara awakens to find herself at her own funeral. She listens shocked to find her death described as a suicide and she cannot remember most of the people, outside of her immediate family. What happened to Nara is revealed to the reader, as Nara discovers and her memories slowly return. I really enjoyed this slow revealing of Nara’s life and family and family history. This is the only book I’ve read from this series, so all characters were new to me, which may have been an advantage. I enjoyed the writing and world building, and would recommend to readers who enjoy paranormal stories.
