I have nowhere left to run… I’ll never love another the way I loved him. He might have been a prince, but to me he was just Erik. The father of my child. The man whose love was so fierce, it’s like it never left me. Some days I swear I can still feel his presence surrounding me, until I’m reminded that our love song is over. Moving on is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Hollow without him, … ever had to do.
Hollow without him, the music that’s been pouring out of my soul is the only way to ease the ache.
It will never replace the love of my life, but for my baby’s sake, I have to try.
Every tragic lyric, every minor chord, proves that I can’t outrun his ghost or the truth… my heart beats only for him.

Nowhere Left to Run picks up where Nowhere Left to Fall ended. It cannot be read as a standalone.
Erik has gone into hiding to protect Casey and his unborn child and has plans to join the anti-revolution in Limaj. Casey has married her best friend Nick in the hopes they can pass off Erik’s child as his to keep him safe.
Erik and Cssey are basically living parallel lives hoping to find their way back together soon, when things go from bad to worse, leaving both facing extreme heartbreak and wondering if happiness is even possible.
I was dreading this book a bit because I just knew Casey was going to be put through the wringer . . . and she totally was. In reality, it was almost a bit too much . . . . how many bad things can happen to one person?
Nowhere Left to Run was crazy fast paced, tackled two unique storylines that occasionally crossed over (Erik & Casey) and also has time jumps. It was a lot going on at times.
I really do love Casey’s character and how she keeps on persevering no matter what life throws at her, always putting her children and family first.
I have more of a love / hate relationship with Erik. I can’t help but to think so much of this tragedy is his fault for being a bit selfish and hard headed when it came to dealing with all things Limaj. I know his goal of protecting Casey and his son are real, and I can appreciate his loyalty to his country and people, but wasn’t there a better way?
Nick is really the guy that is too good to be true. I love that he and Casey are still best friends and how invested he is with children that are not his biologically. And, poor Jayson. I feel like he is the tragic hero of this book . . . doing everything he can to make Casey happy in a marriage that is ruled by the ghost of Erik.
My absolute favorite part of this book is Casey’s relationship with her dad. Their love for each other may not feel typical . . . he’s a rocker after all, but it’s pure and gorgeous to watch.
While I’m feeling a bit critical of this book, I am totally invested and need to read the ending! Nothing is going how I expected it too, and we are past the point where Casey had been in Kat’s other books, so I have no idea what will happen next. And, this book leaves readers on one heck of a cliff. It’s a good thing the final book comes out in just a few short weeks! 3.5 stars.
This is the second book in the series, and if I thought the first book was a traumatic, Nowhere Left to Run is even more painful as Casey and Erik lead separate lives while still mourning for the loss of their relationship, but also try to move forward. I love the characters in this book, and Casey’s music career is really fun with the different musicians in her life. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Nowhere Left to Run has left me with a bit of a book hangover. I’m in love with The Nowhere Trilogy and this is only book 2. You are left where book 1 leaves us. Casey, Erik, Nick, and Sander are doing what they can to move forward as planned. You feel for everyone involved in this one. Kat Mizera is just evil…kidding. She just takes you places you weren’t expected with this one and brings out some deep emotions that have me just itching for the final book. I need to know what happens to everyone. Damn those cliffy’s. But it is so worth it. Nowhere Left to Run brings the feels, the heartache. I’m hoping that soul-searing love Casey and Erik share can be strong enough to survive everything. Grab some chocolate, some kleenex, and a bottle of wine and enjoy everything that Kat Mizera brings to the pages. I’m gutted with this one and I hope you love The Nowhere Trilogy as I have up to this point. Go one-click this book and you will not regret it.
I don’t even know where to start with this review because I just want to get to reading NWLT Hide!
This book is a roller coaster of emotion, pulling at every one for me. There were parts of this book that hit very close to home and I didn’t want to put it down. The cliffhanger for this book will make you need the next one immediately!
Oh man, wow the hits just keep on coming for Erick and Casey. (head shaking)
I thought in the last book that with Erick having to leaving it would be a hard transition, but man these two just don’t get a break. I’m hoping things will get better for the couple in the next book. Fingers crossed. I’m hoping someone kicks Anwar where the sun don’t shine. LOL. Last thing I need to add is omg what an ending, I can’t wait to read the next book.
The drama continues from right where we were left hanging. With her heart broken into a million pieces, Casey is trying to move forward for her child. The best way to describe the second installment to this trilogy is tear jerking, gut wrenching, soul biting greatness. The cliffhanger at the end of book 2 is OH MY GOSH, kill me now AMAZING!!!
If you are not one who likes to wait, I suggest getting all 3 when they are released and putting a weekend aside to cry your eyes out!
I LOVE The Nowhere Trilogy! Nowhere Left To Run is the second book in The Nowhere Trilogy by Kat Mizera. Book 2 picks up with Casey, Erik, Nick, and Sandor doing what they must to protect Casey and her baby from Anwar. Erik is in hiding with the intention of joining the the anti-revolution in Limaj, and Casey has married Nick, her best friend, in hopes of passing Erik’s child off as Nick’s. When the unthinkable happens, will Casey be able to pick up the pieces and move forward with her life? Can Casey keep moving forward when life keeps throwing her curveballs and heartache? Casey is a strong woman who always puts her children and family first no matter what life throws at her. I love Erik but feel a lot of heartache he and Casey endure is his fault for being stubborn and unrelenting when it came to Anwar and Limaj. Nick is a great guy for marrying Casey to protect her and her baby while putting is budding feelings for Erik’s sister to the side. Nick always there for Casey and the kids even after they go their separate ways. I liked Jayson but felt he was always wrong for Casey. I know Casey needed to move forward and find love again, but Jayson just wasn’t a strong enough man to compliment her. At the same time, I feel sorry for Jayson because his marriage to Casey lives in the shadow of her love for Erik. I absolutely LOVED Nowhere Left to Run by Kat Mizera! The Nowhere Trilogy will take the reader on an emotional and gut wrenching journey. Nowhere Left to Fall must be read before reading Nowhere Left to Run. Kat Mizera ripped by heart out with Nowhere Left to Run. Definitely grab a box of kleenex while reading. I have shed so many tears reading the first two books of The Nowhere Trilogy. A bombshell reveal and shocking cliffhanger leaves the reader guessing what will happen next in the lives of Casey and Erik and those they love. I can’t wait till Nowhere Left to Hide is released. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting Nowhere Left to Run and Nowhere Left to Fall by Kat Mizera. Kat Mizera is a MUST read author. The Nowhere Trilogy is some of the best work Kat has ever published. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Nowhere Left to Run is book 2 in The Nowhere Trilogy. I could not leave the edge of my seat when I was reading this story. So far this trilogy is nothing like any another book by Kat Mizera or by any other author I have read. I have truly enjoyed the trilogy so far and can not wait until book 3 comes out.
The story gutted me, I had no idea what to expect while reading the book. Nowhere Left to Run is based more around Casey within a 10 year span. It has its fun happy moments, sad moments where my heart broke for the characters. There were even moments where I was getting mad at some of the characters and the situations they were in. Now to find out what happens in book 3 is something I am wondering about, I am highly anticipating the end of The Nowhere Trilogy.
First off, I have to say this…Nowhere Left to Run is NOT a standalone. You NEED to read book one, Nowhere Left to Fall, first in order to fully understand the story line. And just like book one, this book ends on a cliffhanger too. So, if you haven’t read book one, then I suggest you stop reading this review now, and go get your copy. If you’re a rebel and still want to keep reading my review, then right on! *high five*
Nowhere Left to Run is a continuance of Casey and Erik’s love story and starts right where book one left off. You’re transported back into the emotional and heartbreaking story of two people who seem destined to be together, but fate, along with one truly heinous family member, has other plans.
This story has a lot going on. We are given dual-POVs from Casey and Erik, which only makes the reader feel double the heartache and misery. We continue the journey with both characters as they find some sort of way to live their separate lives without the other. Many unfortunate circumstances occur throughout the book (which I just can’t give away), which only further solidifies the resolution that these two just won’t get their HEA.
I cannot tell you how invested I am in this trilogy. After reading book one, I didn’t think it could get any worse. But it does…it SO does. My heart was left shattered and aching; raw emotions of despair and loss wept from its bruised pieces. But at this point, there’s no turning back. I’m committed to finding out the conclusion to this beautiful, yet tragic, love story. I need to know if these two tormented characters finally find peace and love together. My heart will not be the same until that happens…
4.5 Stars!
Nowhere Left to Run is book two in the Nowhere Trilogy and this story keeps getting better and better!
Talk about and emotional rollercoaster filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, heartbreaking moments to heartwarming ones and every word will keep you riveted to your seat!
Casey’s life seems to always be in chaos and yet she has somehow managed to stay strong and keep moving forward even when her heart constantly grieves for the only one who owns her soul. Erik has sacrificed so much and now there are two people and two hearts that have to beat separately from across the world. I have never read a book where I want two characters to find each other again and be able to have the happiness they deserve than these two.
Their story is not over so hang on. I cannot wait to see where Kat takes us in the final book of this trilogy!
This is book 2 in the trilogy and once you start reading it, you are going to take a ride on an emotional roller coaster. You better hang on a keep the tissues handy. You are going to need them. Casey and Erik’s story is such a great one and I am so ready for book 3 especially after how book 2 ends. I need to know what happened and I need for Casey and Erik to have their HEA. They have waited too long for it.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
5 Stars
My heart is pounding, my jaw has dropped and my eyes are burning…
The second book in this trilogy will break your heart and put it back together a number of times before you finally reach the end. There are too many days until I get the conclusion in my hands…until Erik and Casey finally get the ending they deserve! Kat Mizera has written such an amazingly beautiful and haunting story of love, loss and grief that it will change you forever.

Mizera has become quite the balladeer. Full of heartbreaking melodies and soul stirring riffs, The Nowhere Trilogy haunts with it’s unforgettable characters and unforgettable chorus. Nowhere Left to Run is packed with emotion. The heartache is only the start to a whirlwind of inner chaos. On her own and yearning for the other half of her heart, Casey finds out just how strong she can be. Powerful, mesmerizing, unpredictable.
