Nowhere Left to Fall was book one in Kat Mizera’s new Nowhere Trilogy and is not intended to be read as a standalone.
This book starts off as a whirl-wind Cinderella romance between a real life prince and a rockstar. Family friends since childhood, now that Casey and Erik are adults, they can finally explore the mutual attraction they didn’t know they had. Now that they admitted their feelings for one another, things move quickly and their love becomes intense from the start.
Just when things seem too good to be true, Casey and Erik realize they are and their world starts falling apart around them. Will their love be enough to pull them through the danger and drama they find themselves embedded in or will they both be left to fall?
Readers caught glimpses in prior books, but this trilogy takes us back in time to finally get her story. This book has super hot romance, royal intrigue and suspense and a whole lot of danger and drama as the story unfolds.
I really don’t know how to feel about this book. It was an emotional rollercoaster with lots of highs and lows and seemed to be very fast paced at times. I’m intrigued by the royal drama and can’t wait to see how that storyline plays out with Erik and his crazy cousin, now King of their homeland. I’m also nervous to read the next book because I really felt devastated for the way that Casey and Erik were left at the end of book one. I’ve been intrigued by Casey’s story since I first read her character in other books, and I hated seeing her in the position she was left in. I’m not sure how this trilogy plays out, because I’m having trouble thinking ahead and making it mix with glimpses of “future” Casey and what is happening now in her back story.
I’m not going to lie . . . I need book two now, even though I have a feeling it’s going to leave me feeling gutted. Bring it, Kat! 4 stars.
OMG! Nowhere Left to Fall is fantastic! With Casey and Erik’s parents being close friends, Erik and Casey have known each other since childhood, but their lives are very different. Casey is a famous rock star who toured the world with her band. Erik is royalty who went to school in England and became an ambassador for his country. Sparks fly when Erik and Casey run into each other when both are back in Las Vegas visiting their parents. Casey and Erik have both been attracted to the other for years but didn’t think the other felt the same way, but now have the time to explore that attraction. As Erik and Casey spend time together, their attraction and connection grows stronger and deeper, and they become inseparable. Erik’s uncle, the King, offers Erik a seat in the Parliament, but Erik refuses saying he can’t work with Anwar, his cousin and next in line for the throne, because he feels Anwar will lead the country backwards instead of forward because of his beliefs. With an unexpected pregnancy, Erik and Casey make plans to marry in Las Vegas with family and friends. When tragedy strikes the royal family, Erik heads home to help family flee. Erik learns that Anwar was behind the bombing that killed Anwar’s father, mother, and brothers. Erik knows nobody with royal blood is safe from Anwar’s power grab or vengeance when Anwar threatens Casey. Erik decides he must stop Anwar and knows Casey will be angry with his plan. What will Erik do to keep Casey and their unborn child safe? Will Casey agree to Erik’s plan? I absolutely LOVED Nowhere Left to Fall by Kat Mizera. The chemistry and passion between Erik and Casey is like a blazing inferno. Casey and Erik are a formidable couple who make each other stronger. Loved the family dynamics of both families that will have you laughing out loud. Kat Mizera has an amazing ability of pulling the reader in at the beginning and not letting go until the final page. That is why Kat Mizera is a MUST read author for this reader. Nowhere Left to Fall is a great book with fantastic characters and full of scorching chemistry, love, danger, jealousy, and a cliffhanger. I would highly recommend getting Nowhere Left to Fall by Kat Mizera. Can’t wait to read the next book in The Nowhere Trilogy series. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
High Drama, high emotions – I just loved it!
Kat Mizera is a new to me author, and I’ve seen and posted her intriguing sounding books on my blog for a wee while now. So, when this one came up, having the whole rocker and royalty thing happening, I absolutely had to grab it, never dreaming that it was the first of a trilogy with a cliff-hanger ending. I know I should read sh!t before I sign up for it!! I hate cliff-hangers with the blazing passion of a thousand suns, but, if I’d passed on this one, I would’ve missed out on a fantastic read. Royalty and the Rockstar, friends to lovers, it sounded like an easy read insta-love kind of thing, but no, it definitely wasn’t.
What it did involve were two people who had always been attracted to each other, never dreaming that the other could have been interested. Casey and Eric are both strong and successful people individually, and the families were lifelong friends, but they’d each considered the other out of their league.
It started out as an easy read, but holy hell it quickly grabbed my attention. I loved the characters of Casey and Erik, and the passion between them was palpable enough to chew on. My reading time passed quickly, the intrigue started to ramp up along with the emotions, and next thing I was in tears, not believing that the book had ended so abruptly and heartbreakingly. And there two more books to go!!!
Luckily, Kat Mizera has a tight release schedule for books 2 and 3, so for those who desperately need to have the whole series in your hot little hands before you start reading, you will not need to wait long, because let me tell you now, no-one wants to miss this series. 5 stars!
Casey was a rock star on tour but her band doesn’t want to continue afterward so she ends up back home. Family friends are visiting and Casey has always had a crush on Prince Erik. The two end up becoming lovers but Erik has a cousin named Anwar that is next in line for the throne. Anwar is totally unsuited for the title of king of their country. Will the lover make it through the trials and upheavals coming to them? A wonderful start to this series, ends on a cliffhanger. Next book is out soon.
Nowhere Left to Fall is an emotional, unique, steamy, intense and amazing romance read. The royal/rocknroll romance is full of feels, angst, heat and plot twists that had me immediately stuck to my kindle to the end; Casey and Erik’s love story is one that had me entertained and enthralled from start to finish. I loved the characters, chemistry, family, friends, and the Royal Scenes. Classic!! I can’t wait for book 2 and more in this new series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******

This trilogy has started out making me feel ALL the feelings! Previously meeting Casey Hart in
The Sidewinders series has made me excited to find out her backstory, and that of her “prince”. Erik and Casey have so much chemistry shown in the most beautiful and sexy of ways. Suspense is threaded throughout their storybook romance though, in the form of evil family members and heart stopping events. We wind up with a cliffhanger that doesn’t seem so bad (since the next book arrives shortly and we have an idea what is going to happen in the future). Ms. Mizera has done a phenomenal job of giving us the history of a character we already loved…and have helped us fall even more deeply!

Wow!! Kat Mizera really took us down a different road with this Trilogy. This heart wrenching love story leaves you hanging in the best possible way! Casey and Erik are long time friends, at the hands of their parents. When Casey is faced with a life changing event, she takes Erik along for the ride! Only to be taken by Erik for the ride of her life.
This book will have you on the edge of your seat until you are screaming at the end.
Goodness…I honestly don’t know where to start with this book. Nowhere Left to Fall is book one in The Nowhere Trilogy, and I will say it is NOT a standalone. It does have one doozy of a cliffhanger, but I’ll get to that in a bit.
Wow, there’s a lot that goes on in this book. But first…
Meet Casey. She’s a rock and roll goddess that just finished up a tour with her band. She’s feisty, fun, and uniquely independent. She’s not a girly-girl, but never turns down a shopping experience if she doesn’t have to.
Now meet Erik. First born prince of an abdicated king, Erik does his duty for the crown with no chance in ever ruling the kingdom. He’s controlled, a bit stuffy (if you ask Casey), and so handsome he could stop traffic.
Casey and Erik have known each other since they were children, as their parents are very close. And as the years have passed, they’ve each grown to have unrequited crushes on each other, unbeknownst to the other. But when the chance arises for them to spend some quality time together, neither passes on the opportunity. So what started out as crushes quickly turn to desire and intrigue. But as Casey and Erik build on their burgeoning relationship, a devastating and alarming tragedy happens in Limaj, along with the rise of a not-so-beloved crown prince.
Now that’s all I’m going to say, because if I don’t stop now, I’ll end up giving away everything. And that just cannot happen.
Nowhere Left to Fall is sexy, thrilling, and undoubtedly emotional. Casey and Erik’s chemistry blossoms with every turn of the page, and their love shines bright and true throughout the entire book. But it’s the treacherous and underlying danger and suspense that makes you clench your bedsheets and hold your breath with anticipation of what’s still to come. Because that cliffhanger (told you I’d get to it) is one you WILL NOT see coming, and one that will leave you dying to find out what happens next.
This was a very enjoyable read with a storyline that not only delivers plenty of feels but also posed some thought provoking questions. I felt that Casey and Erik were likable and complex characters. I loved the chemistry and connection that sparked between these two. Their story is a friends to lovers romance that features hidden feelings, drama, insecurities, powerful emotions, duty and love. Family ties, royal expectaions and the emotional turmoil of a man torn between the love and desire for his woman and his love for his country and the desire to protect its people.
This is the first book that I have read from this author and it won’t be my last. It was such a great read. From page one, you will be sucked into this story and you won’t want it to end. This book was a perfect mix of romance, great characters and enough twist and turns that will make you scream when the book ends. Bring on book 2 and 3 because I need to know if Casey and Erik will be able to finally get to have their HEA.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh wow, this story is just so damn good. I fell in love with Erik right along with Casey. They were on fire from the very first moment at her parents house. They get into an impossible situation with his royal family and everything turns to hell. I can only hope that everything comes together in the end of this trilogy. I loved all of the characters and became immersed in the story. Excellent start to a series.
Nowhere Left to Fall grabbed me right from the beginning and I held on tight to the end because this story is fantastic! It is the perfect combination of interesting characters, a unique storyline and twists and turns to keep the pages turning.
Erik and Casey are childhood friends who now as adults have so much chemistry and passion that I had to fan myself as I read their story, but Erik’s royal family drama is going to throw everything they want into a tailspin of epic proportion. Hang on because this book is not the end of their story. The trilogy will continue books two and three and I can’t wait!
