Life, Love, Laughter.
Three things I never expected to experience in the month of giving thanks, but that is just what I received. Wes had survived Hell on Earth, and was back where he was meant to be…in my arms and my bed. For good. There would be no breaking us apart after the trauma we experienced up to this point.
My new job with Century Production sent me to the big apple to interview … apple to interview celebrities for a special segment on being thankful. What is a girl to do when she has an entire host of celebrity friends from her past year of travels? You better believe I called up my friends Mason Murphy, all-star pitcher for the Red Sox, and Anton Santiago, the Latin Lov-ah, to participate. They were all too happy to oblige, only my guy’s feathers were a bit ruffled by the ease with which they came running.
Add in my new family and you’ve got a fairytale Thanksgiving. Except for one tiny detail…the single seat at the table, left open by the hole in my heart that only one person could fill.

In book eleven of the Calendar Girl serial, Mia jets off to New York City to film a segment for her new job.

Mia’s new job with Century Production sent her to the big apple to interview celebrities for a special segment on being thankful. What’s a girl to do when she has an entire host of celebrity friends from her past year of travels? You better believe Mia called up her friends Mason Murphy, all-star pitcher for the Red Sox, hip-hop star Anton Santiago, the Latin Lov-ah, to take part. They were all so eager and happy to oblige, only my man’s feathers were a bit ruffled by the ease with which they came to help.
Adding in her new found family and you’ve got a fairytale Thanksgiving ever girl dreams about.
Except for one small detail…the single seat at the table, left open that the hole in my heart that only one person could fill.
Audrey Carlan is amazing. If i could give more than 5 * i would.
While November is a month where giving thanks is at the top of the list, Mia takes on a task involving finding out what others are thankful for in her segment. Max is finally home from his ordeal but is facing a recovery that affects both of them. As they both face the challenges of getting back into the swing of things in California and dealing with the PTSD they each suffer from, they grow closer and discover a connection neither of them can escape. This one was more emotional and had us diving into Mia’s past along with the immediate difficulties of her family. And we get to see Wes and Mia fall more deeply in love. Though filled with the usual steam and sexy time, it had a lot more feels and romance.
This series is a beautiful piece of art. I feel that way about a book when the author can paint beautiful, vivid and powerful images in my head. I also consider this, a piece of art because this author wrote this series and it is unlike any other series I have ever read. It kept my attention and I did not set the books down until I finished them, and that is not is not an easy task with me because of my work and I have 3 beautiful younger children. This series made me step back and ask myself if I should step out of my comfort zone more. Thank you for this beaitiful series.
I’m enjoying the story so much better now that Mia has made a decision and there is more story to the story! (If that makes sense.)
I really like the addition of Max to Mia’s world. I also like the new job Mia has going for her and I enjoy reading about her adventures with that.
I’m still curious if we will get answers about her mother…if Max was able to track her down or will that be left an open question in this story. One more book to go, I guess I will find out.
