NOTHING PERSONAL is a sweet, sexy & hilarious STANDALONE ROMANCE with a single dad, enemies-to-lovers, second-chance office romance twist from the NYT Bestselling Author of A Nordic King. This book contains foul language, raunchy humor, graphic sex and loads of other fun stuff
more
I absolutely love this authors writing! This was a fantastic enemies to more romance with a strong heroine and single dad. Second chance romance at it’s best! Loved everything about this book, especially those super hot scenes! Highly recommend!
Such a sweet and sexy story…Karina always writes the best characters. Kessler & Nova are no exception. They made me lol. I love a book where funny meets sexy and entertainment is plenty.
Also who can’t fall in love with a beautiful backdrop like Hawaii? If you are looking for a light-hearted ready then pick this bad boy up now!
WOW!!!! What an amazing 5 star story that was quite funny and entertaining. It was a super sexy, fun and light hearted romantic comedy.
Nova manages hotels in Hawaii. She wants to get her dream job but her ex-boyfriends gets it. Sparks will fly.
I enjoyed this second chance story that had me hooked from the first page read to the very last one. It was highly addicting and entertaining. I laughed out loud quite a few times. An amazing storyline combined with amazing characters in order to give me a memorable must read.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
With every Karina Halle release I get excited and am always curious what she will bring this time. The angst? The dirty? The suspense? The romance? The travel? Seriously, she writes it all and writes it well. Nothing Personal is more on the light side, but still fun and filled with a few characters that will make you laugh and maybe even swoon a little bit.
Nothing Personal is a complete standalone romcom and it features a single dad (Kessler) and a hard working woman (Nova) that has done everything to make it in her career. But what happens when Nova has the crappiest vacation with the worst boyfriend and comes back to her job only to hear that she is going to have to work with her ex? And not just any ex. The ex that was the level 10 heartbreak.
“You used to have such a shine to you, Nova. Just like your name. You could obliterate every other star in the sky. Now it’s dimmed and I don’t know why. Was it…was it me?”
Nothing Personal is not only a romcom, it’s an office romance that features a single dad, enemies to lovers, and second chances. Like it literally hits you on all the checkmarks you could want in a romance. Plus it features some crazy co-workers and the toddler that is just perfect. PLUS…it takes place on Oahu in Hawaii (where I happened to live for 10 years, so that was a bonus to bring me back a little sunshine just when I needed it).
The main characters were fun and had a spark from the get go. I love a guy that just doesn’t know what to do with the female because she is strong and kind of puts him in his place. But then again, he also knows what he wants and will do whatever he has to to get it. I love that Nova didn’t let Kessler come in and just walk right over her. She was there and she was going to do her job and do it better than anyone else. She had something to prove and it didn’t matter what position she was in.
The love scenes were fun and hot (hello hotel) and had me swooning at some points and fanning myself at other points. There were a few scenes (one in particular) that bothered me, but it didn’t hinder the likability of the characters or the story. Overall, It was just a nice and sweet read that had me laughing and bringing back some good memories of Hawaii.
“Aloha is everything. It’s the land and sea and sky and harmony. It’s a way of life……”
Indeed! The perfect light, fun, laugh out loud book that you didn’t know you needed after the holidays. Plus chickens, geckos, cockroaches AND HAWAII?!! Sounds like a winning combo to me!
Another great read from Karina Halle! Fun, funny and sexy with fantastic characters and a sweet, swoony second-chance-enemies-to-lovers-romance, I loved this one!
Nova works in marketing for a Hawaiian-based hotel chain and after learning that her boss has unexpectedly resigned, she is expecting the promotion that she has been working so hard for. But that’s not the case, and she’s horrified and enraged to discover that the new guy who will be her boss turns out to be the man that broke her heart five years earlier.
Kes is an ex-NHL player who previously worked for the same hotel chain as Nova, and the last time the two of them worked in the same office they started a steamy affair. Nova fell hard for Kes, but he was clueless to that fact and wasn’t ready for an actual relationship, and after he left her shattered she moved to Hawaii for a fresh start. And now he’s back… with his three year old son in tow, and from his first glance at Nova, he knows that it was a mistake to ever let her go.
I love this set up! And the story gets off to a great start when Nova makes it clear that she’s not happy to have Kes back in her life. Getting over him was the hardest thing she ever did, and though he’s looking better than ever, she is determined to protect her heart and that means staying away from him as much as possible.
Karina Halle writes wonderfully real, flawed characters. They aren’t perfect, they’re relatable, they make mistakes and they sometimes say the wrong thing, and that’s what makes them so much fun to read. And she’s done a great job with Nova and Kes. I love them individually, and together they are an absolute powerhouse, with fantastic chemistry, great banter, and so much emotion between them. The sexual tension sizzles off the page as they argue and bicker, and you can feel all of that passion from so long ago effortlessly rebuilding until it reaches boiling point, and with their feelings and lust for each other all twisted up, it just gets better and better.
It’s hot, sexy, and a little dirty, and it’s absolutely fantastic! They have their ups and downs, but it’s all very believable, and watching them follow their hearts and figure out the journey is funny, gorgeous, and beautifully swoony.
This is such a great read with lots of laughs, heart and steamy time and just the right amount of drama to keep things interesting without bogging the story down. Karina Halle writes great sexy rom/com, and I loved this one!
4.5 stars.
The first book I read by this author was Smut, and I loved it. But I also enjoyed The Artists trilogy, even though it was much darker. This book is back along the lines of Smut, light, funny, and just plain fun. And once again, I loved it! I love how realistic the reactions were of the characters to set-backs and problems with each other. But then there was the ridiculousness of some things that just cracked me up so much. Like the chicken, and Kessler’s fear of them, not to mention how he thought he kept running into the same chicken all the way through. Then the craziness of how Nova dealt with having the guy who broke her heart back was funny too. Although I totally went “eww” at her bit about finding Jeff Goldblum sexy, because no thank you, personally anyway. Kessler’s son Hunter was adorable, of course, and he added so much to the story without being the biggest part of the story like kids often are. Towards the end, something happened to come between them, something I saw coming since the first mention of swimming lessons. And the way it caused a rift between Nova and Kessler definitely brought tears to my eyes. But I like the way the author handled the overall situation, and how it helped Nova and Kessler finally be able to admit their feelings freely. Although that even led to a hilarious use of the word “aloha”, with lots of uniquely adjusted quotes from movies to use that word. One of the final issues of the story was a bit of a surprise, and I love when an author can do that. I guess I should have seen it coming with the way Kessler just happened to have a house to live in.
A wonderfully sweet, very sexy, hilarious story from Karina Halle. I could barely put the book down to do anything else, and that is what I love in a rom-com!
You can trust Karina Halle to give us something so hilarious yet mixed with many tender moments. This enemies-to-lovers, second chance romance keeps up the pace with lava hot moments and excellent witty banter.
Nova and Kessler definitely burn up the sheets and everything in between. What do you get when you pair a sweaty, burly hunk with the woman who hates the mere mention of his name? A swell time. And expect Kessler’s son to steal your heart.
So, visiting Hawaii has always been a dream of mine, I actually wanted to go there for my honeymoon but alas it was too expensive for two twenty somethings and we ended up in Spain, ugh. So, imagine my happiness when learning that this book was going to take place in Hawaii. For those of you who love the idea of Hawaii as much as me, there’s another Karina book called Heat Wave that also takes place in Hawaii.
Anyway, onto the book itself. I binge read this, like it took me about four and half hours and I was done. I read it sitting on my couch (more like half sitting half lying) and my husband asked me more than once why I was laughing. That god damn chicken! Those of you who know, know, the rest of you will just have to find out. This book was friggin’ hilarious, like seriously, and I needed a good laugh after the shit week I’ve had. So thanks for that, truly.
This book was also sad, in a really relatable way. I mean, we’ve all experienced heartbreak in our lives. A lot of us have parents who have been absent through parts or all of our lives. Many of us know someone who suffers from mental illness, or suffer from it ourselves, I do and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. I needed this book, probably more than I knew I needed it. Not all who read it will appreciate in the way I do, maybe I’m alone in it. Who knows?
Something on the characters then. I love Nova and Kessler and Hunter. I also love Kate and Bradah Ed. They feel like real people and that’s what I like about Karina’s books, they feel real, like what I’m reading might have actually happened to someone somewhere in the world.
So, this book is more than just an amazingly funny, heartbreaking love story. Sometimes you need something light, sometimes you need something serious and sometimes you need something that’s a mix of it all. To me, Nothing Personal is just that.

I Aloha this book! A funny, sweet, sexy, second chance rom com! I finished this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down.
The characters are real, and I love their fire and chemistry. These two come back into each other’s life, and get to know each other on a deeper level than before.
Nova is smart, honest, and guarded. Kessler is a sexy, determined, single dad who will make you swoon. These two together erupt with so much passion. The heat level is off the charts with Nova and Kess. I also really enjoyed the moments with Kess, his son, and Nova.
This book has laugh out loud moments, will pull at your heart strings , and have you fanning yourself!
The title of Nova Lane and Kessler Rocha’s story is paradoxical in some ways, but in other ways, it’s an antithesis of their situation. Five years ago, Nova and Kessler had both a personal and a professional relationship, but when Kessler broke things off with Nova, her life in both realms suffered and led her to uproot her life and find her new path in Hawaii. For Nova, what happened between her and Kessler as both lovers and co-workers was extremely personal, so much so, that it broke her and forced her to keep up her walls, never allowing herself to get close to someone like that again, choosing rather to focus on work and rebuilding her career in a new place. How Kessler handled the break up and his actions after illustrate that it was more him than Nova due to his unwillingness to commit, but while one could say that it was nothing personal…that he did what he did because it’s how he saw his life back then, but that explanation doesn’t make Nova feel any better; in fact, it made everything worse for her, causing her a level-ten heartbreak and reconfirming how difficult she is to love.
When Kessler reenters Nova’s life, it’s as her new boss, in a position that she should have received, so while one could say that this situation was nothing personal, once again, it’s deeply personal for Nova, and it messes with her head and her heart, forcing her to come to new revelations about herself and why she has these insurmountable walls constructed so that no one will hurt her again.
It’s clear that both Nova and Kessler are different people than the ones they were five years ago, they’ve matured, had more life experiences, found their own way, but Nova still carries a lot of baggage from that time and Kessler infiltrating not only her professional but her personal life as well causes some conflict, some hard feelings, and some opportunities for Nova to live up to her Supernova nickname.
I loved Nova’s personality – she calls people on their shit and she works hard for her success and even though she may have lost some of her adventurous and fun nature, the reasons behind the person she is now and the way she views life is more than understandable given what she’s had to endure. Nova’s quirkiness and complex personality is both endearing and relatable, which is why I felt a connection with her from the first chapter of her story.
It took me a bit more time to warm up to Kessler than I anticipated…I did like him from the start, but I think because I related so much to Nova and the fact that he’s her level-ten heartbreak complicated things for me when it came to Kessler. Don’t get me wrong, I loved him with his son, Hunter, and his perspective helped me to see all sides of him, not just the jerkish side that broke Nova’s heart. I just needed some insight into exactly how he’s changed since they last were together and once I was shown those parts of him and allowed him to provide his own explanations, I felt like he recognized the man he was back then and just how necessary it is for him to see things from Nova’s side as well, which he does the further into the story I read.
What I loved most about how Karina Halle plotted out Nova and Kessler’s story is that she didn’t rush things; she didn’t make things easy on Kessler and she didn’t allow Nova to simple fall back into Kessler’s bed because of past feelings. They had shit to work through and walls to break down, and while it definitely wasn’t a smooth path these two took to get their second chance, it’s one that was necessary for both of them to figure out what they mean to each other and what a new relationship meant for them both personally and professionally.
The setting of Nothing Personal was perfect for Nova and Kessler’s story and once Kessler was no longer the sweat monster he was when he first arrived on the island, the paradise that surrounded them played into all aspects of the plot, which made for some fantastic sights and experiences.
4 Poison Apples
Nova returns from a disastrous vacation to learn that her beloved boss and mentor, Mike, had suddenly fallen in love with a tourist and has abandoned his job and home to follow her to Thailand. Nova is certain she’s going to be promoted, though, since she has been working hard for that position for years. She’s blindsided by the news that Mike has recommended someone else to replace him – her ex, Kessler.
Kessler had barely been granted custody of his 3 year old son, Hunter, when he gets the call to uproot their lives and move to Hawaii to take the job. Mike has offered up the use of his house and is providing a nanny for Hunter, so how can Kessler refuse? But it seems he and Nova had different experiences in their previous relationship and breakup so this won’t be easy for either of them. Especially since he’s getting the promotion she’s worked so hard to win.
There is so much to like about this book! Nova. Kessler. Hunter. The chicken! I laughed so much during this book. I also felt for the characters. Both Nova and Kessler were getting in their own way with their assumptions. But they fight so well! Hunter was adorable. I loved how Kessler was throwing himself into being the best dad he could be. The rogue chicken cracked me up and had me laughing out loud. This book addresses serious, timely issues like gender equality and diversity in a fun way, too. It isn’t heavy or preachy, but it’s clear that Kessler has no idea what it means to be a female executive and how his “helping” isn’t really. But this book has so many good illustrations of Nova’s experiences. I love the diverse cast of characters as well.
What didn’t I like? That’s a good question. I’m having a hard time thinking of anything I didn’t like. I really enjoyed this one.
Overall: Read it! It’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s set in Hawaii.
5.5 Stars!
Nothing Personal came out just in time to end the year on my Top Read of 2018. This Second Chance, hysterically funny RomCom is by the incredibly talented Karina Halle and I absolutely loved it! I devoured this book, reading nonstop, and I was so ecstatic with the epilogue. The story gripped me from the very first pages, making me tear up a few times, when I wasn’t laughing, over this extraordinarily well written story and amazing main characters. I have to give a shout out to one of the secondary characters, the witty and droll sidekick, Kate, who had me laughing each time she opened her mouth. I’d love to read her story, ahem, but no pressure!
“Every time my heart seems to spread wings, I try to clip them.”
Nova Lane returns from a horrible vacation to find out her boss has suddenly quit his job, and much to her surprise, he recommended someone else take over instead of her. Someone Nova never expected to see, her ex-coworker and the one and only heartbreak she’s ever had, Kessler Rocha. Five years ago they had a hot and heavy office romance, and she’d fallen for him hard. Kessler had unexpectedly ended it, saying he wasn’t looking for a relationship or a commitment, and then he did something that had guaranteed broke her heart. Nova left California in despair over him, moving to Hawaii and starting over. And now he was back in her life again, and they’d have to work together again. And on top of that, Mr. No Commitment had a child now.
“I need to keep my head on straight. I need to keep my heart in the clear. I need to remember what happened the last time Kessler and I got together this way.”
Kessler had always regretted letting Nova get away. He’d thought about her often, these last five years. She’d made sure he couldn’t contact her; she’d ghosted Kessler after blocking him from social media and disappearing. When he’s unexpectedly given custody of his three year old son, Hunter, Kessler thinks this move is just what he needs to start over. Maybe there’s a chance that Nova will let bygones be bygones.
“I want her heart, to possess it, to protect it and never let it go.”
These two! I love them more than my morning coffee, and that’s saying a lot! Sparks fly, their chemistry is off the charts hot, and it was only a question of time before they’d accept the inevitable. But Nova is still hurt by Kessler and her life is more complicated by a personal loss she hasn’t been able to get over, one that haunts her to this day.
“Maybe most guys would shy away from a complicated woman but I thrive on it. I like the challenge. I like that Nova isn’t a doormat and she isn’t a pushover.”
After Nova confesses her truth to Kessler, he’s bound and determined they belong together. He just needs Nova to get on board, despite the barriers she puts up to protect her heart. Nova’s determined not to be hurt by Kessler, ever again, even if that means she can’t let him get close.
“That’s the thing about fighting with her now—it hurts. Before it was fun and games where we could shoot arrows at each other and it would bounce off our armor.
It was fun. A lot of fun. But it was shallow. When you wear armor like that, you don’t let anything in.
But now the armor is down.”
I loved this book! It was light and fun, made me laugh out loud. As usual the tension between Karina’s characters was there and enjoyable to read. Oh and I now want to go to Hawaii for a vacation and find my own Dwayne Johnson to protect me!
I’ve never laughed so much like how I did reading Nova and Kessler’s story. They were ex-lovers and she hated him and he was so clueless it was hilarious. Throw in an adorable 3 year old little boy and a chicken, yes a chicken, in the mix and you’re in for a bit emotional but still very second chance romance. These two had so many back and forth both strong and at times funny moments. Nova was not to be messed with and she was no one’s doormat. Kessler was just awesome, lol.
What an absolutely delightful story!!! Nothing Personal was sweet as pie! I don’t exactly feel like it was a full on RomCom but it did have some amazingly funny parts, but I did just finish a Meghan Quinn RomCom and she’s full on 12 year old boy humor. Anyway, the characters were perfection… well perfectly flawed and real! Poor Nova… can’t catch a break in the male area for anything! Kessler had me laughing out in surprise several times! Hunter stole my heart… his story… ugh! Poor kiddo, I just want to hug and love on him!! Well, you’ve got that… the characters are seriously adorns! I could t get enough of them!
I haven’t read but a few of Karina Halle’s books but this one will stick with me. Nothing Personal really covers the romance sub genres and I appreciate that… there’s even a bit of horror on Kessler’s side upon moving to Hawaii (ok, not really horror unless you were him!). Miss Halle really created a story that flowed so smoothly and the story seemed to ebb and flow until it was over! I’m always pleased when a story makes my heart feel it all and Nothing Personal definitely did that!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Karina Halle delivers a second-chance romance with a bite of sweetness like a ripe, fresh pineapple and a sting of wit and angst just like that prickly crown that sits atop a pineapple. What’s up with all the pineapple comparisons? Well, Halle’s latest release–published a day early!–is set against the backdrop of the picturesque paradise that is Hawaii, a US state known for its pineapples, AND the hotel where the main characters work use the same fruit as part of their image. But whether you love pineapples or not isn’t really what counts; what does is whether you have a thing for a love story that has a bit more oomph to it and a love for second-chance romances, then Nothing Personal could very well be right up your alley. And if you’re new to Halle’s writing, this is a fantastic place to start.
This romantic comedy read had some definite high moments. From a chicken turned nemesis and geckos named Dwayne Johnson and the like to a wise nanny slash housekeeper and a wise-ass best friend who has no filter, Karina Halle’s new novel was chock-full of interesting side characters (yes, I’m considering livestock and reptiles part of the cast of characters), but the main characters were no slouches either. Kessler and Nova had history and I confess that I wasn’t a fan of Kessler’s in the beginning, no thanks to how he ended his affair with Nova and certain assumptions that he made. The more mature version of him, however, did manage to win me over, though I did want to smack him later on for what he said to Nova. All’s well that ends well and Nothing Personal gets 4.5 stars.
Nothing Personal is my first taste of Karina Halle’s work and going by this one, it won’t be the last. It’s a sweet and slightly angsty tale of 2nd chances between ex-lovers, Nova Lane and Kessler Rocha.
Nova’s heart was broken by Kessler’s lack of commitment five years ago. She left her job and moved to Hawaii and made a new life for herself. Now she’s the assistant to VP in marketing and sales for a big hotel chain. When she returns from a miserable vacation to hear her boss has resigned abruptly, Nova thinks she’s about to get a promotion.
But, what she gets instead is a shock.
She’s not being promoted and she already knows her new boss.
Kessler.
Can her life get any worse? Dumped by one douchebag only to find herself working for another?
Kessler was a different man now, to who he was five years ago. For one thing, he’s now a single dad and he knows where his priorities lie. This job may be temporary but he wants it for keeps. And after reconnecting with the still sultry, fiery and sassy mouthed Nova, he wants to keep her too.
But proving it to her may just be the hardest job he’s ever had. Nova isn’t about to sit back and let him win everything. He’s got the job she wants and she’s not going to take that lying down. But, soon her feelings from half a decade ago are rushing back and messing with her head and her heart.
Can she keep her focus and get what she wants, or loose everything she never knew she was looking for.
Kessler has his hands full. Not only does he have a new job, but he’s only been a single dad for six months. His son Hunter is so darned cute and made this more than just a love story. It’s not just about the sex, although their banter was pretty steamy and they had off the chart chemistry. Kessler was one hot dude and Nova certainly held her own with him.
I loved every minute of this story and was sad to reach the end. Highly recommend it to readers, old and new alike.
***5 ‘Leprechaun’ Stars***
This book had it all for me!
A little bit of sweet, a little bit of angstyness, a good dose is smexy and ton of laughter and a whole lot of heart which when it was combined with some great characters – as well as a few unique stars who stole the show – and it being set in my island home…well, this one was all kinds of goodness that had me devouring it in no time flat and wanting more!
I have to say, Nova and Kessler definitely took me for a wild ride, a fun one overall, but a ride. These two are complex and yet easy to connect with at the same time. I really liked Nova. She’s driven, intelligent, sassy, and sweet. She is a bit..hard headed, but considering the bruises on her heart, I couldn’t find fault with how she viewed the world. Kessler is a good man, and I really liked him, but there were somethings that he was…I don’t want to say clueless, because he is pretty on it most of the time, but more short sighted?? And that made him both frustrating, yet endearing which made him quite fascinating all around.
Nova and Kessler’s journey to their HEA was definitely a crazy one, but despite their very convoluted past, it wasn’t as angsty as I thought it would be. Yes, this is under the RomCom umbrella, but even RomCom’s can be angsty. This isn’t to say that there weren’t moments between the two that didn’t have me rolling my eyes, because there were, but they were far and few between. Things were intense between them all around, but more of the push/pull and still be civil variety. The funny thing is that throughout the story, I waffled on whose team I was on as the details of the pasts were unfolded and I finally got the big HD version of all that happened between them, and honestly they were both equal participants in it all, so I never truly chose a side (except for one situation ~ and we’re getting to that), but found that they were pretty much perfect for each other and I really wanted them to work through it all and be together. Now for the one time I chose a side. It was pretty huge deal, even I can’t deny that, and understood all the reactions and what not, but I when it all came down to it, I was firmly #TeamNova. FIRMLY. And the way things worked out after only had me loving her even more.
Now, I loved Kess and Nova, but what really made this book a 5 star for me were some of the situations they found themselves in that, being born and raised on O’ahu, I could totally relate to because I’ve been in those situations and honestly reacted in the same way (Except for the chicken thing. That has never happened to me. EVER) But the others. Yeah, been there done that and I do hate to admit it, but had similar reactions to Kess…still do honestly, but those little vignettes, along with how much the author simply loves and respects my island home, made this read so much fun for me. It definitely made me feel as if I were home with my family just hanging out, eating, drinking and praying for those trade winds to kick up.
As for the supporting cast of characters, they were all very well written and with the exception of one, who actually added a really interesting twist to the story, I loved them all. They definitely gave a lot of depth to the story and helped to bring out that island feel that you can only find in Hawaii (IMHO) and I wouldn’t mind if a couple of them got their own HEA’s in the future because they definitely deserve to get them.
So, if you’re looking for a laugh out loud RomCom that will take you away to a sandy beach this winter, then this is a definite must read!

Nothing Personal is a full-length standalone romcom by Karina Halle.
Nova’s boyfriend cheated on her on their first holidays together; even worse was to come back side by side on the plane back home.
The first day back at work after her disastrous holidays, she learns that her supervisor left without any notice, Nova has been working hard to get in that position, and finally the day has come, but nothing is so simple for her.
Nova has been looking forward to this day, but her manager had other plans and got someone else to replace him until they find a permanent position, and for her surprise, she finds herself face to face with Kessler Rocha the guy who left her with broken-hearted 5 years ago, and she still has feelings for him.
She is furious! No way she will work with him every day.
Kessler is the reason Nova moved her life away, and now they are working together again?
Kessler is a new man, a single dad who tries hard to be the best.
I love him for that, I love his interactions with his little one and all the love, and he knows all the crap and mistakes he did five years ago with Nova and he looking forward to redeeming himself, but nothing is easy with our heroine.
Nova is my kind of intense, capable woman who doesn’t leave words behind, hard worker and she has a heart bigger than herself.
This book made me swoon so much, is cute, sexy, sassy and the writing is impressive!
Can’t wait to read more about this author.
5 Swoon Stars
Karina Halle is one of the authors who continues to convey stories full of warmth, passion, intensity and heart. And here in his newest book Nothing Personal we have a story of second chances with a perfect balance between romance and fun.
Nova and Kessler have already worked together in the past and had a brief, passionate novel that left Nova with a broken heart. Now 5 years later after the boss of New resign and she thinks she will win a promotion Kesser enters her life again as her boss and occupying the position she worked so hard to achieve.Having to work again makes these two have to get along and get to know each other again since they are not the same people they were in the past and now an addition to the already complicated equation of the two: Kessler son.
I liked the book, but didn’t Love it, it’s funny, it comes with second chances, there’s a cute kid that makes the book adorable, but it’s not my favorite of that author. For me, a deeper and more credible connection between the protagonists and Nora annoyed me several times throughout the book, I found her very immature, which contributed to my not being able to love this book as many as the other author.
