Dallas Van Zant…
Problem is, he makes me nervous. I’m not good with people, men in particular, popular athletes especially. I’ve worked really hard to get my disability under control and one minute in his company and all my hard work flies out the window.
To top it all off, I promised myself that I was going to make some serious changes this year. I’m tired of feeling awkward around boys. I’m tired of never having had a boyfriend. I’m tired of being lonely.
But I’m also not the type to turn away a person in need. So I’ll do what I must to help him out.
I’ll just pretend that I’m not enjoying his company. And I’ll ignore the fact that he’s sweet and funny. And I’ll tell myself every day that he’s out of my league.
Because I’m as inexperienced as they come…and Dallas Van Zant is nothing but wild.

5 Stars!
Dora Ramos is almost 21, and a college student in California who attends Malibu University. She’s always been the good girl, rule follower, and focused on her academics. She’s tired of disappearing into the background, and wants to be noticed. She feels like she’s missing out, and is done waiting on the sidelines for life to happen. It’s a new year, and she wants to be a new Dora. She’s promised herself she’ll make an effort this year to put herself out there. This includes being social, and going to parties. Maybe even spruce up her wardrobe, and finally have a boyfriend. She has no clue a hot guy is about to enter her universe and throw some chaos and excitement into her life.
Dallas Van Zant is a senior who plays water polo for the Malibu Sharks, and is known as the best driver on the team. He’s also a beautiful disaster. A wild playboy, and a shameless flirt with a huge over the top personality. He’s the life of the party anywhere he goes, but lately he’s struggling with his inner demons, and is spiraling out of control. Suddenly he finds himself in a lot of trouble, and in need of assistance.
Dora has been admiring Dallas Van Zant from afar since she started college, and first laid eyes on him. He’s absolutely gorgeous, but also unattainable and so out of her league. Looking at this delicious man is her one guilty pleasure. Then circumstances have her spending time with her fantasy crush. She’s driving Dallas around, and being in close proximity to all that temptation flusters her.
Dallas is slowly getting to know Dora, and even though they are complete opposites in every way, he’s intrigued with the stunning redhead. He likes being around her, and doesn’t have to pretend with her. He can just be himself. Soon she’s the girl who is starring in all his fantasies, and he’s craving more than friendship.
Nothing But Wild (Malibu University Series #2) by P. Dangelico is a sexy, slow burn sports romance packed with chemistry, and amazing connections. I have been dying for more of Dallas since we met him in the first book in the series. He’s positively dreamy in this story. He has so much more depth and emotion to him than I realized. He’s more than the fun guy, and a pretty face. His heart and way he loves is beautiful. I loved this book so much!!!
Amazing !!!
I really enjoyed Dora and Dallas’s story. I’ve been wanting more of Dallas since I read the first book in this series. He is a wild guy that just loves life well girls drink and other things that aren’t good for you. So ye Dallas is wild but that life isn’t really working for him anymore, it just seem blah. Dallas is a very deep character and has a lot to give and is really intelligent. But no one sees this they just the fun time guy it’s a bit of a womanizer. But he isn’t that guy he loves hard and is protective of the people he loves. Dora sees that that there were is more to him but she is the only person that sees it. But he is very different to her and has a feeling of she gets close he could hurt her.
Dora I luv her she is so sweet and caring and not like other girls. She doesn’t care about make up, hair or clothes. She just wants to do well in school and avoid drama. But she is starting to get fed up of this perfect girl and wants to start being a bit bad. Now only a bit God she can’t let everything go she still needs a bit of order in her life. Maybe kissing the guy she has fancied in a long time might be a good start. Dora would never do a thing like that but Dallas just does something to her that makes her want to be bad just like the guy she wants. The only thing is she knows Dallas will hurt her she isn’t the type of girl he goes for. Dora doesn’t see how beautiful she really is just cause she’s not skinny with perfect hair and make up she thinks Dallas won’t like her. Only Dallas thinks she the most gorgeous girl he has ever seen. He finds her red hair and curvy body sexy. I just wish she could see that.
I really like how different Dora and Dallas are they are chalk and cheese. He is wild she is quiet but they fit so well together they bring out the best in each other. Things aren’t easy for them and at times things do get complicated. But being friends and getting to know each other works for them they don’t want to wreck what they have but the sexual tension just get to much for each other.
I would highly recommend this book. This is the second book in the Malibu University series. The first book was really good and this book was just as good. The story flowed really well once I started I couldn’t put the book down I was dying to know what was goin to happen between them. I also liked how this book linked in with the first one it just made the book better for me. I’m really looking forward to more from this series Zoe and Blake are great girls what’s make this series great as well is that every girl and boy are so different I’m looking forward to Come and Brock’s story as well. I really like this authors work her writing and storytelling it just brilliant can’t wait to see what’s next.
Overall Grade: 1/2
“‘It happens. Even the pretty ones get left behind sometimes.’”
To understand me as a reader and reviewer, there are certain truths about romance stories that you must understand:
I connect most with stories wherein the hero and/or heroine are fated BECAUSE they “see” the other person in ways that no one else does. This is my “catnip.”
I prefer stories that are driven by enemies-to-lovers or opposites attracting. The tension that drives those stories kicks me in the gut and sets my soul on fire.
Prose, style, and storytelling make me swoon more than a swoon-worthy hero or heroine. If goosebumps climb my skin over the prose, or the author of a romance crafts a meta-message on a topic bigger than the simplicity of the romance, I’m done…the perfect medium rare, with a tinge of the combination of emotional depth and intellectual breadth.
All of these truths conspire to enrapture me in the worlds of certain books. At their surface, they are romantic entertainment, but the real gem of them is the gravity of their story. P. Dangelico’s Nothing But Wild embodies these traits.
I read the first book in the Malibu University series, Nothing But Trouble. This is the book that drew me to Paola. In that review, I vomited my love for it because it utilizes an oft-ignored sport, water polo. Even more, the heroine of that book is special in her strength. In that book, we are introduced to the hero and heroine of Nothing But Wild, Dallas and Dora. Dallas is seemingly the aloof, indifferent-to-life roommate and best of Reagan, the hero of that story, while Dora is a dorm mate with the heroine, Alice. Through that story’s progression, Dallas is both mysterious (we recognize that there is more to his story than we receive) and careless. He angers the water polo coach with his lack of work ethic and seriousness for training plus his penchant for putting himself in danger through risk-taking, while Dora is quiet and inept in her fashion/appearance. Her roommates badger her for her fashion choices and silence. Yet, in Nothing But Wild, we quickly realize there is a depth to these characters that drive this romance forward. At first glance, Dallas is still reckless. He’s living life without a care, and it’s destined to hurt him. In contrast, Dora lives a life of caution and comfort. Until she realizes she wants to change, inspired by her attraction to Dallas. As Dora and Dallas journey through the story, they challenge each other. With Dora, Dallas begins to find his self-worth, something underdeveloped due to his upbringing, and Dallas inspires Dora to take more chances in life. Their romance is a slow burn; it begins with a friendship intertwined with an undeniable attraction, and it ends with a soul-deep love. If you asked me to choose my favorite couple between Reagan and Alice and Dallas and Dora, D-squared would win the award. Here’s why:
Dallas is my favorite type of hero. On the outside, he’s gorgeous, the most handsome man in any room. He’s affable, albeit aloof and takes chances to the detriment of his physical health. His family is wealthy, and his life seems good, except that it isn’t. His attraction is a facade, a mask to the hurt that lives deep in his soul. Everyone around him including his best friends fails to “see” him. They believe in his mask. For me, its the complexity of his characterization that is the fruit of Dangelico’s story. He represents those of us whose pasts have left bruises that cause us to develop masks as a means to protect our hearts. For Dallas, commitment is unnatural because it wasn’t a cornerstone of his life. Since it’s unnatural, his reticence with any commitment to Dora becomes the underlying tension of this slow-burn romance. Consequently, this means that Dora is the impetus for his change, for the big realization of his life. As his journey develops, you cannot help but love Dallas because he simply needs a shot of unconditional love and someone to see through his facade. These are my favorite types of characters because they breed big beautiful moments of romance splendor. Make no mistake, Dallas’s characterization is my favorite part of this book. Dangelico uses him to illustrate the power of self-fulfilling prophecies and the influence of the past on the present.
In Dora, we find a warrior. It’s interesting because Dangelico hides her behind a quiet exterior. It’s easy to lose her among her roommates because she’s unassuming. Yet, she’s strong and resilient. If anything, Dora is safe. She’s been the perfect child, the perfect student, and the perfect volunteer. However, she’s curious about her past, and her warrior status is implemented when she begins making choices for herself. Her roommates, along with Dallas, encourage her to take challenges, which she does. It’s here where she becomes all-powerful, which allows her to truly recognize the essence of Dallas. I love that they complete each other, as this makes for the best type of romance.
I think the difficulty with Nothing But Wild lies in telling Dora and Dallas’s story in the midst of the Malibu University world. There were a few story moments that lost momentum, and there’s a scene with Blake, Dora’s roommate, that left me wondering after its resolution. I’m making a big assumption that it will find its revelation in a forthcoming book. However, in telling Dora and Dallas’s story, it seemed as though Dangelico felt compelled to acknowledge Reagan and Alice’s story. She clearly writes this book with her fans in mind. Plus she’s offering nods to the books to come. What happens is they interrupt the Dora and Dallas’s journey at times, and it slows their story down in my opinion. It’s already a slow burn romance between these two. I think Dangelico didn’t need to work to incorporate the other stories, either as a reminder to the first book or as preparation for upcoming stories. However, that is the only limitation of this book.
What Dangelico does well is craft these beautiful emotional moments into her story. Even if there are parts of the story that lose momentum in order to incorporate the other characters of the Malibu University universe, the power of these emotional parts carries the romance to an emotional depth that pulls at the reader’s heartstrings.
Additionally, Dangelico is diligent in magnifying relevant messages, seeking to modernize romance to fit our world: Dora’s parents as two dads, Dora’s realization of the ways in which women, in particular, envy the attributes of others instead of loving everything about themselves, the psychological impact of absentee parenting, and issues of mental health specific to bipolar disorder and self-medicating through alcohol. These heady topics entwine themselves through Dallas and Dora’s journey, creating moments of reflection for D’Angelico’s readers. This is modern-day romance, seeking to challenge our thinking while emotionally attaching us to its characters. P. Dangelico’s Nothing But Wild is a beautifully-wrought tale of boy meets girl and the power of love to heal all things that ail us.
“My parents taught me that the heart is a complicated organ. That in its imperfect beauty it is impetuous and blind, impractical and relentlessly forgiving. It wants who it wants without through to race and class and gender. And it keeps wanting regardless of how many times it’s been mistreated. I don’t question mine. I don’t fear it. I go willingly. I let mine lead me where it wants to go, and it keeps leading me right back to him.”
Nothing But Wild by P. Dangelico is book Two in the Malibu University Series. This is the story of Dora Ramos and Dallas Van Zant. I have read the previous book but which added to my love of this one but this can be a standalone book. Dora and Dallas are so different from each other. Dallas is the closed off but yet popular Polo Player at their school where Dora is the nerdy, list making and caring person who wants to be a Veterinarian. Dora has always had a crush on Dallas but he has never noticed her. Dallas doesn’t let anyone really get close to him and guards his heart but a kiss at a costume party has left him thinking of her. Dora has went forward to do a makeover to up her game in being out there more. But a kiss with Dallas at a costume party ignites her feelings towards him more. I am a big fan of Ms. Dangelico’s writing so this was a must read for me…loved it.
„You can’t change people any more than you can change your circumstances. All you can do is take them as they are and make the best of it.”
Just like Dora, I am trash for Dallas Van Zant. I couldn’t wait for his book and when it finally landed on my Kindle I squealed like a schoolgirl. Dangelico has created such a realistic and captivating world in the Malibu University series that I would give away my kidney to be part of it. Nothing But Wild completely swept me off my feet and as the title suggests, it was a wild ride. A delicious slow-burn friends to lovers story, filled to the brim with emotions and sexual tension.
Dallas owns me. We met him in the previous book as this wild guy, a total adrenaline-junkie, but in this part we slowly peel his layers and see him from a completely new angle. Oh my heart, his vulnerability brought me to my knees. But even with his own issues to overcome, he always was a great and devoted friend. He’s like this loveable troublemaker, hiding his real face behind a wall of humor and fun.
Dora is such a great female character! She was the biggest surprise in this book for me. Totally unassuming, this girl has such internal strength. Overcoming your own insecurities is not easy, but Dora did it like a pro. I loved to see how she was getting braver and bolder. She’s like a big surprise in a tiny package.
Perhaps these two seemingly look like complete opposites. But they have more in common than you might think. They share not only electrifying chemistry, but also understanding on an emotional level. They complement each other wonderfully and watching how their relationship evolved from friendship into more was a real pleasure.
I’m completely obsessed with this series and I’m so glad that P. Dangelico connected the timeline in Nothing But Wild with the events from previous book. I always like to see some situations from other points of view and to know what’s going on on the sidelines. I love that although both books are standalones, they are still interconnected. This new adult world sucked me in completely and I don’t want to get away. I need more sun, water-polo and boys in tight speedos in my life!
As for Nothing But Wild – you need to read this unputdownable story!
I have been waiting for Dallas’s book for awhile, and all I can say is HE IS MINE!
From past books, we have seen Dallas be goofy, a playboy, and lack emotions about living on the wild side. It’s not that he thinks consequences don’t apply to him, it’s just that he doesn’t care. He is just living his life going through the motions and hiding his true self.
From the first page of this book, you will realize his personality is his cover. Deep down he is smart, thoughtful, and wanting someone to see past the version he portrays.
Dora was such a breathe of fresh air! Her backbone, spunk, overall goodness made her the perfect girl for Dallas. She didn’t care who he was, didn’t try to hide her stuttering from him, and didn’t try to make him someone he wasn’t.
This slow burn had it all…realistic journey, struggles, and love. I also loved how it took place at the same time as Nothing But Trouble. Seeing what was happening with the group while the events of that book took place, showed the fantastic dynamic of this tight knit group.
I honestly cannot wait for the future books. The brothers have me so intrigued!
-An Arc was generously provided in exchange for an honest review.-
Every once in a while I run across a book that has that special sort of magic.
You know the type, right? When the story snakes its way into your heart and gives it a good squeeze. When find yourself reading with breath baited, belly dissolving into butterflies, and a physical ache in your heart that feels just a little bit like you are actually falling in love.
Yep. That. All of that. That’s how I felt reading Nothing But Wild.
Holy Hannah, but I loved Dallas and Dora.
By now I’ve read enough books by P. Dangelico to know that I am going to sink right into the delicious way she tells her stories. And yet, somehow I’m still surprised when I find myself wholly caught up in it, emotionally invested, and held in thrall by the storytelling and the multi-layered characters, and all the ways they make me feel. This, of course, is the best kind of surprise. And it’s enough to keep me coming back over and over again.
I loved these two so much. I loved how neither character was perfect in any kind of traditional way, but they were so perfect for each other. I loved that Dora carried such an understated strength, and I completely adored how they took turns holding each other up over the course of the book. Theirs was a true partnership, rooted in friendship and pulsing with passion and…GAH — the feels! The burn between Dallas and Dora is very slow, yet it’s never absent. It fizzes and sparks the entire time as Dora and Dallas banter their way into falling in love. Their chemistry is potent, it kept me on the hook – laughing, aching, swooning and cheering them on.
There were a couple tiny hiccups along the way for me. The timeline skips around some and it occasionally felt jarring (like perhaps I missed something important). I’m also not 100% sure what to make of the ending on this one. I mean, overall I am satisfied and thrilled with it, but the last page left me a little puzzled – again, like I had missed something important.
That said, I still enthusiastically recommend this one. It’s the delicious sort of addicting NA angst that I will devour with gusto every single time and then come immediately back for more. That is to say – I absolutely loved this story and cannot wait for the next one! ~ 4.5 Stars
Dallas and Dora will steal your heart and not let it go this whole read. I love Dallas. He has a bit of a wild streak that will make you say you may want to slow down and find a new way to get that adrenaline rush. But over all you will just love him and his sweet ways. Dora is just the sweetest. She will make you smile with the way she is. I love how she embraces herself fully and gives Dallas a run for his money. She really makes him work for her. I love the little changes Dallas goes through when it comes to Dora. You will have a little drama but you get it when you really get to know Dallas more. Over you will just love this one and everything about Dallas and Dora.
A friends-to-lovers romance that will sweep you off your feet.
He’s all about fun, yet no one really knows him. She’s always played it safe and lived a quiet life. She’s crushed on him since freshman year. He’s just noticed her for the first time. She’s ready to spread her wings and he’s right there to check everything off her eff it-List.
Dallas is a star polo player at his school. The guy who always has a girl on each arm. He seems to be the life of the party.
Dora is studious and volunteers at the local shelter in her free time. This year she’s decided to get herself a makeover and have some fun.
They “met” at a costume party. Soon after they became friends. But that’s not all they were destined to be.
A college romance that’s multi-layered. Dallas and Dora each have their own individual storylines that bring them closer. As their friendship grows, their relationship evolves. She’s the forever girl, but he struggles with letting someone get that close.
Dallas brings the fun, but he’s also thoughtful and kind. Dora may seem like a pushover, but this kitten has claws and she knows what she wants. The story was sweet and the slow burn was hot. A story and series I continue to enjoy reading.
Am I allowed to start off by saying this cover is a perfect portrayal of Dallas Van Zant and it is seriously hot? I am! Good because it is seriously perfect.
I could tell from the opening pages that Dallas Van Zant was hurting, but that tough and funny playboy exterior comes back quickly. He hides well. Because underneath all that joking and bravado is a man with a huge heart. He’s smart and witty and thoughtful and a little bit lost. I loved Dora Ramos the moment her thoughts hit the page. She’s shy but quirky. I love that she’s trying to step out of her comfort zone. I see parts of my younger self in her. Dallas and Dora are opposites from completely different backgrounds but they worked. Their slow build from friendship to romance was simply charming. I enjoyed their conversations and the time they spent together.
And I need to mention this eclectic group of friends that complement each other so well. Alice, Zoe, Blake, Reagan, Brock and Cole make this book and Nothing but Trouble (book 1 in the Malibu University series) so much more than just a romance.
Nothing but Wild is a sweet mix of fun and heartfelt romance with some serious moments. Love is never easy especially when so many other aspects of life try to get in the way but it is so worth. I have honestly adored both books in the series and really hope to get more.
Well, I don’t really know what to say, P Dangelico is fast becoming one of my go-to authors. I’ve loved all her stories to date, and the Malibu University series is turning out to be a firm favourite of mine. Nothing But Wild only cementing my opinion even more. I was completely addicted from the get-go. Wonderful writing, wonderful story and wonderful characters. So many wonderfuls. I can NOT fault Dallas Van Zant or Dora Ramos, what you see is what you get. A truly special couple who I was rooting for from the start. Loved that the story ran alongside book 1, and loved reading about all the characters I met previously. A story full of friendship, romance, love and sexy time. Add in some family time and emotional drama (where I’ve got to say the tears were a flowing). A full five star read that I loved.
I have been waiting for Dora and Dallas and I am so so so IN LOVE with their story. It wasn’t what I expected, but it was so much more.
I loved their friendship, the bond they both formed and then as it grew into something more. It was beautiful, emotional and everything I could have wanted. Dora is insecure, she comes from a different social standing than Dallas, yet she can’t help but crush on him. I love that Dallas is more than just the good-looking jock. He is sweet, caring, supportive and protective, especially when it comes to Dora. The chemistry between these two was a slow build, but once they finally give in it was magical and beautiful and I truly never wanted this story to end.
I loved the scenes with the rest of the Water polo crew, plus Zoe, Blake and Alice. I love this entire crew and I can’t wait for more of them in the future.
This can be read as a complete standalone, however, if you’ve read Nothing but Trouble you will notice some of the overlap between timelines. Nothing but Wild is a MUST READ!

And it came the time for D&D’s story to be delivered!!!
And what a wonderful and heartwelming story it was!!!
It’s not a secret that I’m enjoying very much P.Dangelico’s stories, and there is no exception…
After Nothing but trouble, i was wishing for Dallas and Dora’s story! And here, it is!!!
Of course, now i can not wait for Broke and Zoe or Cole’s story, but hey, I’m a human with wicknesses!!! LOL!!!
Well, if you had picked up in the previous book that something was going on with Dallas and Dora, then you were right!!!! But they never gave anything out, even though the story was developing during Reagan and Alice’s story as a timeline!!!!
Dora and Dallas couldn’t be more opposites, but in a strange way, they were fitting very well together!!!
Of course, the author was torturing us for once again with a slow romance… Becoming firstly friends and then something more, but hell, the ride was worth it!!!!
Everything started with a drunken kiss behind a catwoman costume!!! And then their paths were colliding all the time… Other times were bitter, other times were hillarious and others soooo sweet!!!!
Dora was an insecure girl with a stutter and an awful wardrobe, but she was so kind and beautifully sweet…
Dallas was wild and … misunderstood in a way!!!!
Those two incompatible people were paired very good as friends and as… more!!! Even though they had their own demons to face…
“I’ve never felt more alive than when I’m with you.”
I loved Dora since the first book!!! She was just a girl that was admiring a God from afar and then this God became reachable and then… everything changed!!!
Dallas was wild, yes, but in here, we found out more about him and his reasons behind his actions!!!
The truth is that insecure Dallas was a very strange thing to witness, but for evething there is a first time. No???
Their relationship??? It was bitter and sweet with its ups and downs…
Two opposite people manage to find solace to each other and that was a wonderful thing to witness!!!
And as i told you above, i can not wait for the next books!!!
I’m dying to read the Peterman brothers’s stories!!!!
And Zoe’s and Blake’s!!! With them maybe??? Or not???
Who cares??? I just want them!!!!
…Today is a good day to live…

Sometimes love sneak in your life through the most unexpected persons and that is the most delightful surprise ever. Dallas and Dora’s story in Nothing But Wild by P. Dangelico is such a love story. It was a love story with oneself and also another person who lifts you.
Dallas Van Zant is the wild play boy of Malibu University. Star of the water polo team. Successor to a big rich business. So beautiful that it hurts yet completely broken and empty inside. He is a lonely soul who feels nobody cares about him. Not his dysfunctional family. Not his past love. Not the friends from team. So Dora surprised him. An adorable, cute, sweet and smart girl with too big heart attacked his fortress. But is he too jaded and cynic to let her in and take a risk? Dallas is definitely the guy Dora would dream of dreaming. She is shy and self conscious and innocent. But she wants to be more open to life and be free. And she had to give Dallas a chance as he was pretty persistent and adamant with his charming ways. And it would be all good if she did not have a hopeless crush.
I loved the chemistry between Dora and Dallas so much. They belong to different social strata but they belong to each other. It was slow burn and a brilliant friends to lovers tale. I am so in love and lust with Dallas. He is a joking, playful and arrogant guy outside and hides a lot of pain inside. Dora healed her gradually. My heart could not handle the sweetness and swoonworthy charm of Dallas when he protected Dora from malice, cared for her, accompanied her to every wild thing so that her dreams can be fulfilled and overall made her feel worthy of true love. Dora is so different from him but only this crazy, adorable, cute and compassionate girl could make Dallas whole. She has her own share of insecurities and worries but she is not afraid to open herself. There will be heartbreak. There will be tears and sufferings. But there will be picture perfect moments those will make everything better.
P. Dangelico’s words always create magic in pages. Her flawless writing captured my heart completely. Amazing story line. Unforgettable characters. Truly deep emotions. And we have a great romance.
Received ARC for Honest review
Nothing But Wild is a wonderful and heartfelt friends to lovers romance. D & D aka Dora and Dallas made me smile from ear to ear. At first sight these two seemed incompatible but turned out to be highly compatible. Both struggled with finding themselves and together they ended up finding solace, a beautiful friendship and a strong love in one another.
Their first meeting is a memorable one for both of them. A drunken kiss.
Dora is an insecure and inexperienced woman but outspoken and honest when needed to be. Dallas the popular waterpolo guy, who didn’t let many in his heart and wore a mask in front of everyone finally felt seen all thanks to Dora.
Their blooming and evolving friendship, which included a list, turned out to be quite the journey for Dora and Dallas.
I enjoyed seeing the different sides of Dallas. He truly was a vulnerable soul with so many layers and so much heart. Dora was just the kindest woman who wanted to experience as much as possible and thankfully Dallas wanted to help her. Their relationship turned out to be the most important thing that ever happened to the both of them. I had such a good time not only with Dallas and Dora but with entire ensemble of the Malibu University series. I’m ready for the next book. Whether it’s Brock or Cole I don’t care. I just need more. This series is addictive.

Started it.
Couldn’t put it down.
So, basically I devoured this baby in one sitting. I shouldn’t have since I was supposed to be doing that #workthing (or at least putting all of my focus into it and not the book, but *shrugs*) but once I got sucked into the world of Dora and Dallas all was lost and I NEEDED to see how everything played out between them and I wasn’t disappointed. (Well, I was because there were no more words to read ~ but I know that I can’t do much about that). This book was all kinds of sweet, swoon worthy, adorkable goodness that pulled at my heartstrings and had me grinning so much my cheeks hurt.
Dallas and Dora. These two…There is so much to say about these two, but you really have to go into this book blind, well, as blind as possible after reading the blurb because it does a good surface summary of who they are, but going any deeper than that will ruin them for you. So, I will say that I absolutely ADORED them ~ even when I wanted to Gibbs smack them, I adored them. They are complex and have a lot of things they need to work out, but they both have amazing souls. And as for their journey to their HEA…obviously I enjoyed it, but it was a lot of fun as they danced around and towards each other. And though there were some things that I saw coming, I loved how it all worked out for them because they really did complete each other in the best of ways.
I’m going to sound like a broken record, but this was a great read. It does deal with some heavy subjects, but I like how everything was dealt with. As for the secondary cast of characters Zoe, Blake, Reagan, Alice, Brock, Cole and Quinn I loved hanging out with them all again and it was fun to see them through Dallas and Dora’s eyes and I’m quite curious to see who is next up on the chopping block ~ especially since there were quite a few teases as to who may be hooking up with who.
Note: This book can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend that you read Nothing But Trouble first since there is some overlap in the timelines and could impact your enjoyment of NBT if you haven’t read.

I didn’t realize that this was the second book in the series. Since I didn’t read the first book, I only had a couple of moments where I wasn’t sure what was going on with the characters from the first book. It did leave me with some questions but nothing too serious that I couldn’t enjoy this one. I really liked Dora and Dallas, they had some great chemistry together. I might check out the first book because I want to know what was going on with that couple.
It felt SO good being back in the Malibu University world and Ms. Dangelico has delivered another five star book in this series. Nothing But Wild (Malibu University, #2) was wonderful, funny, sexy and highly entertaining. I devoured this sweet, well written, slow burn romance and loved every moment.
Dallas and Dora were somewhat frenemies who were polar opposites yet there was an undeniable attraction between them. Dallas was a member of the water polo team and a wild man with a tender heart, charming and witty personality that I just couldn’t help but love. Dora was the perfect woman to tame him as he was also a bit broken due to issues from the past. Dora was the shy, smart and innocent girl who was full of sweetness, sass and harbored a secret crush on Dallas. Both of them were very down to earth and once they got to know each other, their camaraderie and comedic banter was spot on. I loved the way their relationship progressed which provided a lot of depth to their story.
Nothing But Wild had excellent secondary characters who really made the story flourish and had me wishing Malibu University truly existed so I could be a part of the crew. This book is wonderful, heartwarming and I can’t wait to read Nothing But Good (Malibu University, #3).
Dallas Van Zant is trouble with a capital t. He’s an athlete, he’s gorgeous and he knows it. Cocky doesn’t begin to describe Dallas, and Dora Ramos has watched him from afar. She doesn’t really run in the same crowds that Dallas does. One night Dora sees Dallas in a more vulnerable state, and from that night Dallas can’t seem to forget the girl who kissed him. The only problem is, he doesn’t know who she is. When Dallas finally realizes that Dora is the mystery girl he is intrigued. When secrets come out, and Dallas finds himself in trouble with the law, Dora finds herself becoming his chauffer. As the two spend more time together, they both realize there is more to the other than meets the eye, and they can’t deny the real feelings that are coming to the surface. Can these two people who are two opposites give make things work, or is Dallas just too wild?
I’ve been needing to know more about Dallas since the first book in the Malibu University series was released. There was just something about Dallas that was really intriguing. I never would have guessed all that he had been through and I absolutely love that shy and quiet Dora was the girl he finally fell for! I loved this book, and just like the first book in the series, it’s not just your typical run of the mill romance. There is some darkness to this book, as well has hilarious moments, and swoon worthy moments. All in all this was a great book, and I do hope we continue to get more books in the Malibu University series!!
