4 Stars
Nothing But Trouble is the first book in the Irresistible Billionaires series by Ashley Bostock and the first time for me reading this author. A sweet romance with engaging characters, this first book has an easy flow that keeps the reader turning page after page.
Michael Vilander is sitting on top of the world. At least the business world. With his highly successful business of matchmaking, you would think it would be easy for Michael to get dates. Especially to the Valentine’s Day charity ball that happens every year. But with no date around and time ticking down, what’s a guy to do but use his own company to find a date??
Sophia Baldwin has put her life on hold. Caring for her ailing grandmother and dreams of attending college to get her nursing degree mean that she doesn’t have time to date the “normal way”. Color her surprised though when chatting with one of the matches on the dating website she signed up for lands her a date to one of the poshest events in Denver. She never dreams she’d meet Michael and she certainly never dreamed of what would happen next. Can these two overcome obstacles and mistakes to find their happily ever after??
Ms. Bostock writes a wonderful story that makes reading this book fun and enjoyable. With a witty writing style, good characters and some good sub-characters, Ms. Bostock turns out a sweet romance that is easy to read.
NOTHING BUT TROUBLE Irresistible Billionaires by ASHLEY BOSTOCK
Five stars
Secrets are so ugly. They create problems and you have to build lies around them to keep people out. One lie always turns into another. Michael owns his own company and isn’t looking for forever. Sophia is living life on a rougher side and just wants a break. Can you blame them for coming together? They’re both hoping and dreading something more. I really liked how the author played this story out. It definitely didn’t follow the same line as many other billionaire stories. The characters felt real and their emotions relatable.

I was hooked as soon as I started reading wonderful romantic story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this sweet book that has moments of sadness, heartache, and love. Michael is a workaholic who has closed off his heart to relationships because of a past hurt. Sophia is a strong independent woman who is doing everything she can to help take care of her grandmother. Michael needs a date for an important charity gala and so he goes online to the dating website he created and that’s where he finds Sophia. He felt drawn to her from the moment he saw her. I loved how they got into their fake engagement, Sophia had me doing a fist pump on that one. When you read this book you will understand what I mean by that. During this time of their engagement there is definitely attraction and I love the chemistry between these two. They are very different so there are some bumps in the road along the way. This is a must read if you want to find out how these two end up. I highly recommend this book.
Nothing But Trouble by Ashley Bostock is the first book in the Irresistible Billionaires series which had me from the very beginning and didnt let me go.
Michael has no idea what’s going to happen when he sets up his fake profile to find a date for a benefit dinner. He certainly meets his match with Sophia.
Sophia is quite an amazing young woman. At only twenty four she is supporting herself and her Grandmother while going to school part time.
This is not your typical rich man/average working woman story and I’m so glad to get a new scenario.
I really enjoyed this book. This book reminded me of a romcom style movie. You first meet Michael who is the owner of a dating online app who has had a rocky past with women. Michael needs a date to a charity and after some prodding from his meddling grandmother he decides to create a fake profile. After making the profile he is matched with Sophia. Sophia is pure innocence and a great woman who happens to be the caretaker of her grandmother. After they met face to face and she realizes who Michael is she plays along to help him. Sophia accidentally states out of haste to defend Michael that they are engaged. Michael does not want a publicity nightmare and wants Sophia to play the dutiful fiancee for one month. One month is a long time for feelings to make themselves known. I enjoyed reading how this story unfolded.
This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew my mind. I love my billionaire men but this talented author exceeded all my expectations with Michael. This is the first book of the irresistible billionaires series and what great start it was. I was hooked on this book right from the beginning. It took me only a few hours to devour this book.
Michael Vilander needs a date for this annual gala he goes to every year. He is one of the top bachelors in his city which finding a date should be easy but not for him. Michael ends up making a fake profile on his own website to see what would happen. He thought it was going nowhere until he sees her. Michael is mesmerized by the beautiful Sophia Baldwin. She is gorgeous and also looks very innocent. He thinks that she will be perfect for him for one night. Michael and Sophia talked to each other almost all night and he is excited about this date. Sophia was in complete shock when she finds out that her date is the handsome CEO of Together. She is having a great time until they run into his ex. Sophia stands up to her but she tells everyone that they are engaged. Michael makes a deal with her for one month but will this turn into something more?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, humor, and drama. You will fall in love with these characters right from the start. Michael is a beautiful man that has good heart but he has walls up. He doesn’t want his heart to get broken again. Sophia is a beautiful woman that has to take care of her sick grandmother. She has a connection to Michael but will he be able to except all of her? These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will keep you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see who this author will write about next.
Another winner from Bostock! Quickly becoming a reliable, must read author, “Nothing But Trouble” didn’t disappoint. I found the characters and storyline to be engaging, sassy, and just lots of fun. Thankfully Bostock continues to create relatable characters that are sassy, independent, sexy, and strong. Just loved the book and looking forward to continuing the series when the next book is released.

Nothing But Trouble is the first book in the Irresistible Billionaire Series by the wonderfully talented Ashley Bostock. It is such a fantastic, steamy contemporary/billionaire romance with a ‘fake-engagement’, and a bit of a modern ‘Cinderella’ story feel to the whole thing- which I really loved. It is an incredibly sexy and erotic story with scorching details that sizzled right off the pages.
Michael Vilander is the thirty-three year old self-made billionaire, founder and CEO of the largest and most successful matchmaking website, TOGETHER.com. He desperately needs a date for a Gala he is obliged to attend, and because of his ‘two-date’ policy he is having trouble finding someone suitable. He decides to create a ‘fake profile’ on his own site to see if he has any luck. When one particular ‘match’ catches his eye, he contacts her, and they spend a fun night chatting back and forth. He asks her if she would attend the gala with him, and she agrees- and so starts this captivating story. But what he doesn’t know is that Sophia has a pretty big secret, one that could change everything- so what happens when he finds out what it is? Then add a nasty, conniving ex into the mix- and the story really gets interesting!
The story is fantastic, and I loved following Michael and Sophia through the story. They are wonderful characters who were really well developed, complex and very endearing)- which made the journey even more addictive.
The story is told from a duel POV; it has a great pace and flows smoothly. It was very easy to read, and I flew through it in one sitting.
Now I can’t wait to read more of this series!
Thank you, Ms. Bostock!
Nothing But Trouble: Irresistible Billionaires by Ashley Bostock. Nothing But Trouble pulled me in right away with how Michael came to the bright idea of creating a fake dating profile to Sophia and her quick witted remarks. I love the push and pull between the characters and even though he’s a billionaire he has real life issues and doubts. And Sophie, well she’s about as real life as it gets with her job and problems. I found myself enjoying this story a lot and it was a nice break from what I had been reading. It has the perfect mix of problems, solutions, jealous ex’s, break ups and of course make ups. I look forward to reading the next book about Cole.
Sweet story. I enjoyed the creativity of characters and the plot of this story. The creativeness made me feel as if I was right there with Sophia and Michael who make great characters to read about. Michael, the owner of a dating site decides to use it for himself Sophia has no time for dating between working and taking care of her grandmother so she turns to the dating site. What will happen when they are matched up and find themselves in a fake engagement? I highly recommend this book.
Turns out the billionaire wasn’t the only thing that was irresistible. Bostock turned a humorous tale of heartache into a deeply moving life lesson. Nothing but Trouble tackles a woman’s quest for independence, even as her world is falling apart. Her redemption comes in the form of a hot billionaire with a chip on his shoulder and an emptiness in his heart. She teaches him how to hope, he reminds her how to dream and together they find the courage to try. Ashley Bostock reminds that the road less traveled could put us right where we were meant to be.
Nothing But Trouble (Irresistible Billionaires Book 1)

The story Nothing But Trouble (Irresistible Billionaires Book 1) by Ashley Bostock is a romance book the I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning. I loved reading about the characters of Michael Vilander and Sophia Baldwin. Sophia is a strong, beautiful, intelligent, and kind woman. Michael is a workaholic and a man that doesn’t do relationships or anything long-term. He finds her when he creates a fake profile on his matchmaking website. I don’t think an announcement at the Valentine Day Gala by Sophia that she and Michael attend that they are engaged was in the plans. They find themselves agreeing to pretend to be in love, a fake engagement, for a month. Is there more to the emotions/feelings that Sophia has for Michael? Michael is one that guards his heart. Why does Sophia so intrigue him? What does the future hold for both Sophia and Michael? Read this book to find out. Both Michael and Sophia have issues that they face. As the story progressed and I got to know their characters better I found myself caring about them and wanting them to be happy. My emotions went up and down the entire time I was reading the story. There are times when reading that I was smiling and other times when my heart was breaking. This is a story that I got lost in and didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. The book has a smooth flow to it. There is heartfelt and emotional dialogue. This is the first story in a series and I look forward to reading the next one.
Nothing But Trouble and myself did not get off to a good start. I am not sure if it was me or the read but things soon changed for the better. Once I got further into Michael I as on cloud nine. He was sweet, sexy, and had hints of being shy. He was no push over but he was not alpha, alpha. Sophie on the other hand was not what I would call a match for Michael. This hand nothing to do with her status. It was more the character bio. I did not find her to be really on the level. She was a bit harder for me to connect with.
I personally think the virgin thing is over done and a bit blase. The sweet millionaire/billionaire I could do all day long. He was the one thing that pulled this off. The read was okay. It would provide entertainment. I will not take you over the top or have you flipping the pages because you just have to get to the very next chapter or to the end. This was a tried and true scenario billionaire/millionaire and a virgin. The difference was the execution of the story. Like I said it was an okay read.
It had promise, a la Pretty Woman. The concept was unusual, but the execution was flawed. A steamy romance has: three sex scenes, two or more bonding scenes, and one major revelation. Instead, this book would go for the Johnson, no matter what. Didn’t matter if it made you think less of the characters or question why either of them thought they could have a normal relationship. Instead of having a scene when they are actually getting to know one another we get a virgin oral scene. It was a decent concept but too many conflicts, not enough established trust and not enough actual change make me feel the relationship is based on list and doomed to failure.
Billionaire CEO Michael Vilander decides to use his own matchmaking website to find a date, under a made up persona though. He finds Sophia Baldwin who peaks his interest, Sophia though has to take care of her sick grandmother and is doing the best she can given the circumstances. What will happen when Sophia finds out that the man she has been talking to is not Clint the persona, but Michael.
Kind of a twist on Cinderella. I thought this was fun a bit predictable but if you are looking for a light book this is one to pick up.
From an online dating to a fake relationship this book has so much fun stuff that you just can’t stop listening. We have drama and so much more. I am excited to jump right into the next.
Sophia and Michael are total opposites. But when Michael needs a quick date, and turns to his own dating app, things really pick up. I really enjoyed everything about these two. Sophia is truly nothing but trouble but so good for Michael too. I could not help but to fall for Michael myself as he wines and dines Sophia. Sophia is a humble girl who likes to be independent. But what girl can resist extravagant gifts! As they grew closer together, my heart fell more in love with their story. I could not stop listening. Br ready to get lost in their world!
This was my first listen to Melissa Scwairy. I enjoyed her narration. She has an easy to listen to voice. She brought the characters to life. Through her narration, I felt as if I was a part of the story. As I listened, it felt like the story was a movie in my mind.
Michael Vilander is the CEO of a Dating site. He needed a date for a charity gala on Valentine’s day. He decided to used his own website for a time only date. Sofia Baldwin was one of the many that answered his profile. After chatting, he asked if she would be comfortable going with him. So the story begins, they have their ups and downs. Sofia exuded fun, confidence, and a softness he didnt see in any of the other women he dated. Sofia had a secret that she never thought necessary to tell him. But would her secret ruin their so called relationship? Why was Michael so cautious when it came to relationships? The story is about trust , believing in others, betrayal, lies, secrets. Melissa Schairy narration was very good. having the emotions and feel for all the characters. I enjoyed listening to the story.audiobookobsessionreview
Enjoy the book very much
Loved this book! Can’t wait to read the whole series!
