USA Today Bestselling author Christie Ridgway delivers a delightfully romantic and emotional novel about the power of love, sisterhood, and community in NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES.
Innkeeper Zoe Cash loves the life she shares with her beloved younger sister, welcoming guests to their hillside abode on Abrigo Island off the Southern California coast. She has everything she needs, even a hobby as a … hobby as a local—if not particularly successful—matchmaker. After weathering a personal storm, it looks like only sunny days ahead…until one wounded man arrives and threatens the perfect bubble she’s constructed around herself. He’s making her want, well, more.
Astronaut Yeager Gates escapes to the island and the charming inn looking for nothing but a place to heal before getting back to his high-octane life. He’s not made for sitting still any more than he’s made for long-term romance, though intriguing Zoe Cash is tempting him to turn all his set-in-stone plans on their head.
In this unique locale, surrounded by sun, sea, and well-meaning family and friends, two people learn to face their fears and realize that falling in love might just be worth the risk.

It was too long and that made it boring in parts.
Just love how Christy Ridgway writes. Love the characters, the witty dialogue, and her style. Thank you for another oh so enjoyable book!
Waiting on a Fish
This is a great story about hopes, dreams and pure determination of all the characters in it. You can picture the island, the people, and the fish. Small village living at its finest.
This was one of those I didn’t put down to often until I reached the end.
This is a unique, emotional book. The characters are believable, the plot gives us real life issues and the writing is uniquely Christie Ridgway’s. The book involves 2 sisters and 2 best friends who overcome their own issues to find HEA.
I received a free e-copy of this book for an honest review. Coincidently, the previous book that I had read was RISKING IT ALL, by Christi Barth. Both books are very similar as they center on people who have survived a life and death experience and the people around them, who also suffered. If you like one book, you’ll like the other.
This book tells the story of 2 different couples who find love where they least expected to.
Yeager was a hotshot astronaut scheduled to be the pilot on the Millennium, the next mission to the moon, when his motorcycle was sideswiped by a little old lady in a Buick. Now he is temporarily blind, but nevertheless permanently grounded from NASA and the air force. Going stir crazy in the hospital, his friend Deke, an older member of NASA, rescues him by taking him to Abrigo, an island off the California coast, where he has a house that he had inherited from his uncle and needs to work on. Zoe and Lyssa are two sisters who run the bed and breakfast where Yaeger and Deke stay. As the story progresses, we learn that all four have survived some catastrophe in their lives and none of them are coping in a healthy way. They help each other and in so doing, find love.
Wonderful characters with real problems, working to find love and happiness.
I really enjoyed this book. Loved how each of the main characters each had different issues i thought the author did a great job of having them play off off of each other. This is 1 of those books you aren’t going to put down .. I know i didn’t
Good overall. I did not like the gloomy parts and could not get with the younger sister connecting with the old man, that made me want to stop reading so I mostly skipped the chapters with the steamy love parts of an old man and a very young girl. It would be a better story if the author stuck to the main story line and did not go to develop a second with a 40 year age difference. An 18 year old and a 50 year old man is a little sick. Anyway beautiful island lots of nice twists with the main characters but the sub plot was crude and not necessary. like that ?
It was a book that I would not suggest to my friends to read. It was like a fairy tale.
Wimpy lead lady but had some redeeming qualities. Setting was very good felt I was there.
Good book. Pleasant characters and storyline.
Fun and romantic book
Great story line. Fun characters. Easy reading perfect for beach or poolside
It was a good story but parts of it were odd. I definitely wanted to finish the story but don’t need to read the next.
I loved this book… I wanted more!
I laughed and laughed. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Easy summer read.
