Nothing But a Dare is a second chance, enemies to lovers rom-com with a curvy, will punch you in the throat heroine, and a hero that will push every button she has for fun. Oh, and did I mention there’s a cat that wears turtleneck sweaters? After what could possibly be the world’s worst morning, the last thing Abbie expected to see as she walked into her meeting was her childhood nemesis. Hunter. … childhood nemesis.
Hunter. Freaking. James.
The title of world’s worst morning now seemed like an understatement.
When Abbie walked into the conference room looking like a complete mess, and still killed her presentation, Hunter knew he’d made the right decision signing on with WCM Advertising. He was there for one reason, and one reason only. Abbie was going to be his, even if he had to dare her every step of the way.
Game on.

This book is the perfect read to keep you warm on a cool evening. Nothing But a Dare is an amazing enemies-to-lovers romance. And I’m a sucker for that type of romance. Abbie, the heroine is a perfect mix of feisty and funny. While Hunter, the hero, is the character that will keep you warm. He’s sexy and hot and the perfect contrast to Abbie.
I can’t recommend Molly O’Hare’s book enough. She’s a one-click author for me and I know after you read Nothing But a Dare, she’ll be a one-click author for you too.
I dare you to read this wonderfully charming, witty, and sexy book. You won’t regret it!
Molly has a way of taking unconventional heroines and giving them the HEA they deserve. If you’re looking for laughs, love, and a little bit of mayhem, Nothing But a Dare is the book for you! I dare you…
This book is full of feisty characters, and steamy, heart melting situations that will prevent you from putting it down. I loved the dynamic this couple had. They were fun, and interactive. The story had enough depth to keep you invested, and tons of witty banter to keep a smile glued to your face.
A character named Rupert may have almost stole the show, but in the end, it was Hunter freaking James that dominates this story.
This book is a definite must read full of laughs, swoons, and enough anger issues, you’ll find yourself desperately needing to turn the next page!
I loved Hunter and Abbie’s story so much! She’s such a fabulously fun firecracker leading lady to his determined alpha male with a slightly tarnished heart of gold leading man who is determined to win his lady fair no matter how much abuse she throws at him as Abby is most definitely a woman scorned who holds one heck of a grudge against him for shattering her world when they were kids. His path to redemption and her’s to forgiving him is one laugh outloud journey and such fabulous fun, as they battle their way towards their happily ever after. Now add Rupert the fashionista feisty hairless cat with an attitude as a buffer and you have got a must read Romantic comedy romance! Molly has truly outdone herself with this fabulous story and I can’t wait to read what she spins for us all next!
In this laugh-out-loud funny workplace romance, former childhood frenemies Hunter James and Abbie Collins are forced to work together when Hunter is hired to consult on a major project at the advertising firm where Abbie works. What Abbie doesn’t know is that Hunter has secretly been in love with her for years, and he plans to seize this opportunity to win her heart. He has a lot to make up for because of the way he treated Abbie in the past, however, and she certainly won’t give into him without a fight.
There were a lot of things about this story I really enjoyed (Rupert the cat and his antagonistic relationship with Hunter was hilarious!), but there were also parts of it I found to be pretty over the top. For example, I had a difficult time imagining that Abbie, a professional woman who was trying to convince her boss to promote her, would actually tackle someone in the office, no matter her past relationship with that person. Abbie was also frequently insubordinate in the way she spoke to her boss, plus it seemed like every third sentence she uttered was some variation of threatening to murder or throat punch someone. I can’t say that Abbie’s feelings weren’t justified because in a lot of cases I totally understood where she was coming from, but even so, I couldn’t help but think she may have benefited from some anger management courses to learn how to express those feelings more constructively.
Overall, “Nothing But a Dare” was an entertaining read and I would recommend it for all contemporary romance and romantic comedy fans. I look forward to Molly O’Hare’s next release.

Absolutely Brilliant! Loved every second of this story. It made me giggle, laugh out loud and curse! The characters are simply amazing. Molly never disappoints, her books always make me happy. The crazy animals she includes in her books are the best! The story is easy to read, flows well and has more than enough twists and turns to keep you intrigued. So much fun and I’m a sucker for a HEA <3
Nothing But a Dare was such a fun, hilarious read! This book had me laughing out loud at Abbie and the situations she found herself in. I absolutely LOVED her personality and spunk and thought that she was such a strong character. Hunter on the other hand took a little time to grow on me, but once he explained what had been going on in the past and cleared up some misunderstandings I was definitely a fan of his as well.
This book is must read for sure! You will not be disappointed! By Alisa
I loved Nothing But A Dare. This one was a fun read. I found myself laughing out loud at some points. Abbie and Hunter know each other when they were younger, they haven’t seen each other in years when Hunter pops up in Abbie’s life. Abbie and Hunter are super funny. Their banter in funny. Abbie is a fun girl who doesn’t back down from a dare. Hunter has come back to win Abbie over and he won’t stop until she’s his. These two have great chemistry even when Abbie was threatening Hunter. If you looking a for a fun pick me up then this is a book you should check out.
This book was a bright spot in what had been a really emotional day. Molly O’Hare’s writing was a true revelation, leaving me with a smile on my face by the time I was done reading Abbie and Hunter’s story. Abbie was a female main character after my own heart, thanks to her anger management issues (I could totally relate), her love-hate relationship with her cat (who was a total diva in all her hairless glory), and the myriad of feelings and emotions she had towards Hunter. Freaking. James. Speaking of our male main character, I confess that there were a number of times that I was ever so tempted to invent some sort of contraption that would allow me to dive into the book and smack him upside the head; alas, it wasn’t meant to be, but thank goodness the guy knew a thing or two about redemption and I had no doubt that he was sincere in his efforts to win the feisty Abs over. The pacing of the story and the development of the characters were nicely done, and I was fully entertained from the moment these two locked eyes on each other in that conference room. All’s well that ends well, but it’s the journey getting there that had me fully impressed, because as many hurdles as Abbie and Hunter may have had before reaching their happily-ever-after, it was well worth it all and so very much deserved and earned. Five stars for Nothing But a Dare.
This was the second book I read by Molly O’Hare and she’s quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. I’m impatiently waiting for the release of Lucas and Miranda’s story (from Teased by Fire).
I really enjoyed Abbie and Hunter’s story and that their relationship started during childhood. Hunter was terrible to Abbie and really hurt her when they were younger. I really can’t believe how easily Abbie forgave Hunter, but I guess after 16 years holding a grudge gets old.
Molly O’Hare always includes interesting animal characters in her books, Rupert is almost as entertaining as the pet raccoon from Hosed by Lili Valente and Pippa Grant.
Nothing But a Dare is a romcom, second chance and enemies to lovers romance, that had me laughing so hard, Rupert the Sphnyx stole the show. The hairless cat that wears turtlenecks. Abbie is one hell of a woman. I connect with her so much because I have threatened a couple people with a throat punch or a punch to the junk. She is absolutely my soul sister. Hunter is the hero who is trying to prove he absolutely loves Abbie, but Abbie not buying it. She uses humor and violence to defend her heart. This story brought tears to my eyes. I might have startled my dogs laughing loudly and snorting, hey it happens. The chemistry of Hunter and Abbie was hot, how can it not love and hate is a fine line. This book is well worth the read for laughs and giggles and even though the story is hilarious, it’s also sweet and has awe sha moments. I highly recommend this one if you haven’t read it yet.
I was pulled in with the blurb, but Abbie & Hunter’s never-ending dares & hilariousness kept me hooked! I loved how in your face & sassy Abbie was! And I loved seeing her reconnect with Hunter! Their whole story was AMAZING!
Sexy, sweet, funny and an absolute swoon worthy hero. Yes, Nothing But A Dare has it all, including a turtleneck wearing naked cat. Hunter is so in love with Abbie and after years he sets out to prove his love. Abbie on the other hand sees Hunter and just wants to throat punch him. I was either laughing or swooning with this book the whole way through. An absolute page turner you cannot put down.
This is the first book I’ve ready by Molly O’Hare, and let me just say, it did not disappoint at all. I loved this book so much. Nothing But a Dare had everything…..comedy, hate, passion, sexiness, foul language galore. Abbie is my soul sister, lol.
Abbie and Hunter are one of my favorite enemies-to-lovers couple. This book will have you laughing hysterically, all the while rooting for them. Abbie was hurt by Hunter 16 years ago and what he did changed her whole outlook on people. She doesn’t trust easily, and it’s because of him. Hunter, being a stupid teenager, did what he thought he needed to do. He was going through something at the time, and Abbie just so happened to be in his direct line of fire. Now, years later he wants her and he will do everything in his power to make that happen.
I really, really, really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to ready more by this author.
I had to drop one star because of misspelled and misused words, and I hate that. Proofreading is something I do for authors, and reading a book that has these types of errors, unfortunately, can ruin a really good book. Luckily, it didn’t do that for this book. I still loved it!!!
In this book, we meet Hunter James and Abigail Collins when they were just kids next door to each other. Hunter is daring Abigail to jump from a tree branch, and this is just the beginning of their relationship involving daring each other.
Jump ahead quite a few years and we find that in high school, Hunter suddenly leaves school and Abigail, but is now back in her life. While Abigail thinks that Hunter is there to ruin any chance she has at a new promotion, is that the real reason he is back in her life? Dare you to find out!
This one had me chuckling start to finish. I gobbled this book right up. I loved Abbie so much. I just loved her personality and I could so relate to her “anger issues”. I wasn’t so sure about Hunter in the beginning because I wasn’t fan of him during the past between him and Abbie. I could understand Abbie’s desire to throat punch him. Hunter though slowly won me over and showed his true colors. The banter between Abbie and Hunter is the best part of the book to me. The sexual tension and chemistry between them rolls off the pages. I was a huge fan of Rupert. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with a cat in a book.
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This is my first time reading this author and I liked her style of writing. The two characters had this love hate thing and grew up as next door neighbors. They are best friends and then something happens and Hunter is very mean to Abbie and he disappears from her life. However his meanness lives on and she suffers and this creates her hatred for anything Hunter James.
Now she is in advertising and is a HUGE success when she runs into Hunter and finds out he has been hired by her company and they have to work together. This was more hate than a love filled story. Abs HATES Hunter ALOT. On her end she has a lot of anger and resentment to him and he was a jerk and deserves it.
That said they did work well together and she this really weird cat that provides lots of humor and a kinda great mom who I loved her scenes. Even the client is kinda great and Hunter wants her badly to let him in no matter what it takes.
The two together was kinda adorable and I really enjoyed this story. The only irritating part of the story was the weird cat.
I had so much fun reading this book!! It started off so sweet with a taste of mischief but I loved how that tied into the story when they were older. A Collins can’t turn down a dare and that means Abbie has to do it regardless of what it is. Her and Hunter annoyed each other with dares throughout their childhood but it was also a turning point for their friendship. Abbie, I love but she takes feistiness to a whole new level. She knows what she wants and tells you exactly how she feels. She is spunky and determined that’s for sure. She also has a heart, mostly for her hairless cat and her mom but she has one. She was burned by Hunter in the past and has a I don’t want to say hatred but a strong dislike towards him. Fate steps in and they get thrown together on a job. This is when things get fun! Hunter I loved so much! He loved to push her buttons so hard as a kid and as an adult. He has reasons to why he left and has to break down Abbie’s walls of hurt towards him. This is job of its own with this. He works the dares in there and has a way of making things dirty. This book was hilarious and I highly enjoyed reading this!! I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a spunky and feisty woman dared to do things she wouldn’t normally do. Also a determined male character to make her see that they are good together. He seriously has his hands full with her.
Molly, oh, Molly. Whatever will I do with you and the shenanigans that come out of your head? You had me cracking up and facepalming all at once. There were times when I wanted to tackle the characters myself and throat punch them but overall you left me feeling satisfied after a lot of steamy scenes. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more of your shenanigans.
