“This was a fabulous, fantastic, best ever Christmas book. WOW!” -Advance ReaderShe’s a fixer… He’s about as broken as they come… Can they learn to turn to God for healing and hope this Christmas?Leah has always been a fixer. That’s why she decided to foster a troubled teen. And it’s why she’s determined to give him the perfect Christmas. It might also be why she feels compelled to reach out to … give him the perfect Christmas. It might also be why she feels compelled to reach out to her grinchy, reclusive neighbor Austin. But she’ll have to be careful that reaching out doesn’t turn into something more—she’s been hurt by crossing the line from friendship to romance once, and she’s not willing to let it happen again.
After losing his leg, his friend, and his faith in Afghanistan, Austin figures he’s about as broken as they come. For Austin, Hope Springs is simply a stopping point—a place to rehabilitate his leg, get over the burden of his PTSD, and get back into shape to redeploy. He has no desire to get to know anyone while he’s here, least of all the meddlesome—if sweet—woman next door. But when she calls on him to help her make Christmas special for her foster son, something compels him to relent. Soon, his heart belongs to both of them.
But what if Austin is too broken for even Leah to fix? Can the two of them learn to turn to God for hope and healing—and maybe even a chance at love—this Christmas?
Not Until Christmas Morning is a heartwarming Christian romance filled with faith, love, and the reminder to trust God “even if.”
“Not Until Christmas Morning is such an inspiring and uplifting book that you won’t want to wait until Christmas to read it! I loved this story of how God can make something beautiful out of broken people and their painful circumstances. If you’ve ever been angry with God about the suffering in your life or the lives of loved ones, then this book will give you hope. Highest recommendation!” -Advance Reader

Valerie’s writing always touches my heart – both because her stories are so romantic and also because they speak to my soul about my walk with God. If you’re a curious reader, you will be hooked at the first paragraph: “Please ring.” I read that and had 5 questions pop into my head at once! I loved the main characters – cute, complicated, interesting – they had it all. Their problems, the journey and the romance are real and, as always (spoiler alert!), the ending is happy.
Leah and Austin both have hurts that keep them from really pursuing the future they so desperately want. She has the kindest heart and I loved how much she gave to her foster son. He is quite grumpy and thinks he doesn’t want to change – well doesn’t think he has the right to be happy. Jackson really brought these two together but not without angst and bumps in the road. I was so encouraged by their faith and desiring to please the Lord. The ending was so sweet and the epilogue was just the icing on the cake!!! So hoping Chad gets his own book.
Such a moving story on getting through heartbreaking times. Valerie’s books tends to help me through personal things that I am going through or have gone through. She really helps you to depend on and get closer to God. I love all of her books that I have read so far. Mt heart just ached for Jackson and Austin. The book didn’t delve into to much of Leah’s past but I did feel for her too. This story had me crying but they were happy tears. My husband tells me I know it is a good book if you cry get mad or are extremely happy and this book had me crying and happy so it was a totally amazing book. Another awesome job by Valerie Bodden. I highly recommend this book.
I cried and laughed and hoped for a happy ever after, but no spoilers here! Each book in this series grabs me from the beginning and keeps me captivated. This one too. Filled with emotional ups and downs, this story is too good not to read!
Awwww
Short but beautiful and heart warming.
I like stories like this of long time best friends in love with each and professing it so many years later.
I enjoyed the journey Ariana and Ethan took to the point of professing their love to each other.
I enjoyed more the heart change God did in their lives.
The very thing Ethan was terrified about was the very thing that happened to him again and God used it to break him out of fear to trust in Him.
Ari’s journey was the realization she was already love eternally by God Himself.
Set in the most beautiful and wonderful season of the year this book will do your heart good and remind you of the essence of Christmas.
I received a copy of the book and this is my honest opinion.
