From USA Today Bestselling Author Ella Miles comes a standalone steamy romance! To Sean Burrows, I am writing to inform you that I would like to apply for the management position. As an assistant, I know I have limited qualifications, but I am loyal and have been an assistant here for almost five years. I apologize for the initial meeting where I was late in picking you up from the airport, … up from the airport, spilled coffee on you, and introduced you incorrectly, among other things. I know I did not make a great first impression, but I need this job. No one should still be an assistant when entering their thirties.
I have attached my résumé. I’m sorry for taking up so much of your valuable time.
Thank you for your consideration,
Olive Porter
P.S. I’m sorry for kissing you on the lips. I really was trying to kiss you on the cheek. I was told you were European, so I was trying to make you comfortable. I was clearly wrong about both.
Not Sorry is a standalone book.

Sean Uses Unconventional Methods When He Trains Olive For A Promotion In This Kooky Romance!
Olive is a hot mess. She has difficulty keeping up with her boyfriend Owen and her job, always overextended and trying to be everything for everyone. It doesn’t earn her any respect, though, because everyone takes her for granted. She has no self-confidence and apologizes for everything. She regularly goes without sleep because she cannot keep up with all her promises. Olive has worked at Parks Real Estate for five years. She knows how to run the office despite her lack of education and no real estate license. She works as the assistant to Jamie Parks, the owner and her best friend. Loyalty has kept her at the job despite her meager earnings, but she holds out hope that she will get the promotion to manager that she has been vying for.
After promising himself never to return to Chicago, Sean Burrows finds himself in the Windy City once again. He couldn’t refuse Jaime, even a year later. He loves her and would do anything for her. And maybe she would take him back in the end. It was a little strange when she sent her kooky assistant to pick him up at the airport instead of coming herself. Olive was oddly attractive, but she wasn’t his type at all. He liked strong, confident women. Women that were more like him. But the idea that he might stay a few days to help Jaimie and be rewarded with a date is promptly dashed when he shows up at Parks Real Estate. Jamie had asked for help, but he had no idea just how much help she needed. She asks him to run her company for her for at least a few months, maybe a year – and she happens to be very much off the market. But their friendship runs deep and Sean would still do anything for Jaimie, even if it appears that her stated purpose for needing his help isn’t the entire truth.
Sean and Olive’s kooky story is about two colorful characters that stumble into love. Sean is a mystery. He is rich, but other than that little is known about him other than the fact that he adores Jaimie and she thinks the world of him despite their breakup. Olive is a bit of a mystery as well. Her one year anniversary with her musician boyfriend Owen approaches and she has high hopes for their future, despite the fact that her friends aren’t convinced he is right for her. But she is loyal to a fault, as evidenced by her mysterious devotion to Jaimie. As Sean and Olive give in to desire, Sean’s character begins to be more defined. Despite his dark side, a vulnerability emerges. Olive retains her kooky character to the end, which helps to bring about a fitting end. The couple earns a happy ending.
Sean uses unconventional methods when he trains Olive for a promotion in this kooky romance. The plot is somewhat complex. There are a few things that don’t exactly add up, but most is somewhat explained eventually. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Sean and Olive. I rate this book four stars.

This story had a different feel to it. It was steamy. There was drama. I think what kept coming to mind was this notion that there were secrets that involved unfinished business.
I loved the plot twist and thought it was very clever. It certainly contributed to the drama.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength and happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

This is a medium sized story so not overly time consuming which in a way is bad as the plot is a great one and has some humor to it. The characters have good depth to them and the story was an enjoyable read.

They say that first impressions are key, in which case this romance is doomed before it starts.
This romance story is well written and full of little quirks that make it stand out from the crowd. This is not love at first sight, but more of a relationship that has to grow and overcome obstacles, not least of which are the characters themselves. The plot moves at a good pace but has several twists to it that makes you wonder at times if the couple really will connect, but that just makes it all the better when they do. Overall, a fun story that takes its time.
Recommended.

Mixed feelings on this one. It started out fun and I was cheering for Olive but there were some rather unpleasant “things” going on. Jamie is supposed to be her friend and Sean is supposed to be helping her but both are keeping secrets. Still I enjoyed the story. It was fast paced and I liked seeing Olive rise to her potential. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
This is an interesting story with strong characters. The author does a great job building their relationships and weaves a story with a bit of an unusual story line. She brings twists, turns and tons of emotion as well as a hot and steamy romance. It’s well written with detailed scenes and I enjoyed reading.

This will be a book I will read again because I enjoyed so much the first time!

When Sean is asked to take over and run his best friend’s business, he does it. Even when he has to work with her assisant Olive, who was a klutz forever making mistakes and saying “I’m Sorry”. That was until she stood up for her self and then he felt something entirely different. Teaching her to be the confident young woman she would soon become was his greatest pleasure, especially when most of the lessons were in the bed making her scream. This was a humerous story that had me smiling all the way through the book. I loved how Olive continued to surprise Sean and how hesitant he was to tell her what is real job was. This was a book I will remember fondly and will not doubt read again, I just enjoyed it so much the first time!

This is the story of Olive Porter, a PA to Jamie who is going on maternity leave, and Sean, Olive’s temporary boss who has been in love with Jamie (who loves someone other than Sean). Olive and Sean are complete opposites, but, eventually find steamy attraction between them. What will happen when Olive finds out Sean has been in love with Jamie? I recommend this book by Ella Miles which has an interesting plot, complex characters, intense emotions, unexpected twists and turns, and steamy romance.

Not Sorry is a fun, entertaining story. I loved Olive and how klutzy she is and the way she reacts every time Sean is around. Overall a great story about two people who clash at first even though there is an instant attraction between them. This is a well written story with great characters and an ending that left me wanting more.
Olive is the shy, clumsy assistant to her friend and boss Jamie.
Sean is a seasoned cocky, confident business man and ex to Jamie.
Olive is sent to pick up Sean from the airport, who is coming as a favor to Jamie . Jamie is pregnant and going on maternity leave and Sean has agreed to help manage her company while she’s out.
When Olive gets the opportunity to work as the manager for Sean there attraction to one another blossoms. As well as Olive’s confidence under Sean’s instructions.
As their relationship grows Olive learns of Jamie and Sean’s past relationship, as well as the true nature of Sean’s career.
I really loved this story. If your looking for a few ups and downs but a Happily Ever After this is the book for you.

Sean is doing a favor for a friend by running her company while she is on leave. He is hoping things go well. That is until he meets Olive. It is a mess from the start. She picks him up late, kisses him inappropriately, does not dress like an assistant, etc. The attraction is there but can Sean’s job and her lack of confidence keep them together.
This is a quick, funny, romantic story that keeps you interested from the first page. Characters have issues that we can relate to. Enjoyed the story.

I love reading this author’s work but this book made me stop and think a bit. I was not sure I liked Sean and Olive. I have to say I should have just buttoned up and finished the story. Sean and Olive meet as Sean is stepping in for Jaimie (his true love) as she needs to rest as she is pregnant. Olive and Sean do not have a great first meeting and this leaves their working relationship at odds. Olive writes a personal letter along with submitting her resume for a management position in the company that she is hoping to get. Will Sean hire her for the position? Sean is a grade A piece of work but I really enjoyed Olive finding her groove and snapping back at him. Olive has a fire in her and it is great to see her find it and start letting it out. An entertaining and enjoyable story to read. Enjoy!

This office romance was wildly entertaining. Sean and Olive’s journey to love was fun to watch. I enjoyed how Sean got Olive to embrace her assertiveness. It was nice to see Sean show his intense love for Olive and she passing all his “tests” . These tests were just ways I believe for him to be around the woman he was growing to love. Their chemistry was hot and hilarious. They didn’t care when or where to have sex and these scenes were hilarious to me. The author brought the perfect two people together and their HEA was wonderful.

Couldn’t put this one down! Loved it from the beginning to the very end!
Olive & Sean two opposites that drive each other crazy. I read this book in one sitting. Olive is shy, she’s so insecure about herself and is always apologizing to others it seems she may not have a backbone but she’s stronger than everyone gives her credit for and that strength will shine through this book.
Sean knows what he wants and goes after it, he’s still in love with Jamie and is not ready for Olive and he feels that whatever pull he feels towards her will disappear once he has a taste of her, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Fasten you’re seatbelts and enjoy the ride!
