From USA Today Bestselling Author Ella Miles comes a standalone steamy romance! To Sean Burrows, I am writing to inform you that I would like to apply for the management position. As an assistant, I know I have limited qualifications, but I am loyal and have been an assistant here for almost five years. I apologize for the initial meeting where I was late in picking you up from the airport, … up from the airport, spilled coffee on you, and introduced you incorrectly, among other things. I know I did not make a great first impression, but I need this job. No one should still be an assistant when entering their thirties.
I have attached my résumé. I’m sorry for taking up so much of your valuable time.
Thank you for your consideration,
Olive Porter
P.S. I’m sorry for kissing you on the lips. I really was trying to kiss you on the cheek. I was told you were European, so I was trying to make you comfortable. I was clearly wrong about both.
Not Sorry is a standalone book.

Seems simple, but is surprising and unpredictable
Excellent story, very well written, which seems simple at the beginning but for which each reversal is unpredictable. The story begins oddly with a man, Sean, owner of a big business without anyone really knowing what he’s doing, who comes to help his former love, Jamie, because she knows he would do everything for her. Now he discovers that he cannot say no to her, but that he will never have her either. He must assume 1 year at the head of her real estate agency and for that, he has no right to fireJamie’s assistant: Olive. The latter seems to be a bit shy, clumsy, and spends her time apologizing, which Sean does not support. However, he is attracted to her and decides to train her to become a manager.
From then on, the story changes completely and becomes fascinating, more complex and sometimes torrid.

This was amaze balls! Sean is in love with Jamie and would do anything to help her with anything! Olive is the klutzy assistant to Jamie and runs errands for her. She has to pick Sean up from the airport, but ends up spilling coffee on him, then kisses him on the lips in an effort to do an European cheek kiss.
Business owner Jamie is Sean’s ex-girlfriend, but Jamie only considers him to be a much-loved best friend. She is pregnant by a new boyfriend and has to go on bed rest, and Sean agrees to run her realtors business for one year so she can spend time with the baby after it’s birth. Olive will be his assistant, just as she was to Jamie. When Sean opens up a management position, Olive applies for it, but Sean has a series of tests planned in order to determine her strengths and weaknesses. Their time together becomes a test of wills and a trial unlike anything Olive has ever been subjected to before! Will they end up as equals, or will the dominant Sean run all over the less-than-confident Olive?

This is another fun and entertaining storyline from this talented author. Sean and Olive do not get off to the best of starts with several clumsy mishaps, but the chemistry between them is explosive. This is a well written flawless story, which is emotional, humorous, steamy, and with secrets and twists, which all leads to a wonderful story, which had me totally captivated throughout. I always highly recommend this authors’ work for all as she is one of my all time favourites!
Good storyline with great characters that kept me hooked from page one! I always look forward to reading what this author writes!
3 1/2 Stars
I never really knew what to make of Olive with the odd way she was described in this romance. Sean described her as a mess, and his first impression of her was not attraction. In fact, he was in love with her boss Jamie who was pregnant by another man. His backstory and big reveal of his job also linked him with Jamie intimately, and I felt Olive’s feelings for Sean was off balanced.
As for Olive, was she the glue that held Jamie’s business together? And if so, why did it seem like everyone took advantage of her?
The relationships were all over the place. Sean who initially loved Jamie. Jamie who got pregnant by her whirlwind relationship with her new boyfriend, but broke up with him shortly after finding out she was pregnant. Olive and her boyfriend who treated her badly and for the weird way she found out about his sister, and finally Olive and Sean with his job and past involvement with his job.
I did like when Olive and Sean got together, but their over the top escapades were more tacky than sexy.

Sean is coming to Chicago to help out his friend with her business. He meets her assistant and while they have an instant attraction, they don’t get along. He “tests” her to see if she is ready to help him with the business. While training her they begin a relationship.
While I usually like Ella’s stories, this one felt rushed with some instant love thrown in. I didn’t dislike it, I just didn’t like it as much as I usually like her work.

Enjoyable, hot romance. An interesting book telling a romance that develops between two people, who, if not really hating each other initially, certainly lack sympathy for one another. One is a self-assured alpha male Sean, whose business acumen comes from questionable sources, the other is a very poor, total mess of an ambitious assistant Olivia, with a habit to apologise for everything and to everybody.
Sean’s feelings are very ambiguous, determined to have sex with Olivia only once, yet can’t stop kissing her and wanting her. Olivia’s attitude is similar, convinced that her feelings vs, her physical needs are totally different. Sean’s desire to bring the strong, self-assured Olivia to the surface to give her ambitions of becoming management material a chance is very well handled. Some of the polarity in their attitude is at times confusing, particularly the shift in Ryan’s emotional attachment from Jamie hasn’t been addressed fully, but the heart wants what the heart wants. The characters are very well developed, and their actions are well justified according to their personalities. The book is very steamy, hot, hot with language to accompany their exploits.
Irrespective of their backgrounds, they find their soul mates in one another and their true love against all odds leads to a HEA, making this a great romantic read.

Even though I loved the caption of this book, I had difficultly connecting to the characters. I found Olive too insecure and Sean too much of an a** for my liking. But these characters did slowly grow on me the further I read. I also had difficulty with finding the sweeter side of the romance. There was lots of lust and f*cking, but little in the development in emotions for a love story.

This is my first book by this author and most definitely won’t be my last. From the very first page to the very last page, Ella Miles has written a great romance story that I couldn’t put down. I loved the storyline and characters.

I love all of Ella’s books!!
Great read, engaging characters no dull moments. Had me wanting to read until the end
Really quick read. Light and fun.
Pretty well edited.
Olive is the assistant at her friend’s real estate firm. Her friend, Jamie, is pregnant and in need of bed-rest. Enter Sean, Jamie’s friend and one time love. After a really rocky start, Sean finds himself drawn to Olive. Near insta-love blindsides the pair. However, rocky times await. Will Sean want to settle down? Will Olive believe he really loves her? Will love triumph over all?
Not a bad way to spend a few hours. Enjoy!
Oh my word, this is one of the sexiest, funniest, romance books I’ve ever read. If you’ve read the teaser, you’ve got a pretty good idea just how klutzy Olive is. Don’t let it completely fool you though, there’s some real substance to our girl, it just takes a bit for it shine through. Sean Burrows has secrets of his own, but he carries secrets that haven’t been shared yet. Ella Miles has taken this storyline and characters, interwoven them with such personalities, charisma, sexual chemistry, and real human emotions to make it an absolute must read. This one will just brighten anyone’s day.
I adore this writer because she always delivers a great read! Her characters draw you into the plot which has twists! I am a fan!
Not Sorry is signature Ella Miles – sexy with interesting, layered characters. But, in this case, I absolutely could not stand the hero, Sean.
Olivia has been working for her boss for 5 years. Her boss isn’t just her boss, though, she’s her best friend. Olivia has been working toward, she thinks, the managerial position in this real estate company, until out of the blue her boss brings in one of her friends (actually, he’s not just a friend, he’s her boss’ ex) to run the company while Jaime (the boss) is on bed rest while she’s pregnant. To say Olivia and Sean’s meeting is less than friendly is an understatement. Sean isn’t impressed by Olivia, whom he perceives to be a klutz (she is), and incompetent (she isn’t). But, somehow, he’s also attracted to her, even though he’s still in love with Jaime. So, he decides to sex up Olivia, all while pining over Jaime.
Things happen, Olivia bows out, and things are a big fat mess, until Sean finally mans up at the end and gets back his girl.
I don’t hate Not Sorry, but it really irritated me to no end. I loved Olivia, even though she was entirely too forgiving of both Sean and Jaime, but Sean and even Jaime are the worst. They treat Olivia horribly and she deserved much better. But, because Not Sorry is sexy and engaging, even though it and Sean and Jaime irritated me, I can give it 4 stars because it’s well written and not easily forgettable.
Not Sorry by Ella Miles was a good read, with great characters. The story line moved along quickly, and smoothly. It was a little predictable, but not in a bad way. I liked how the characters had their own struggle within the struggle of staying away from each other. They were relatable and sexy. This was my first read by Ella, and I am looking forward to reading more of her work!
I wanted to like this book, I started off liking this book, and then something happened…it went from a book about two smart, intelligent people, to a book that sounded like it was written about two foul mouthed teenagers who think it’s cool to drop the f-bomb as often as possible….don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with dirty talk, but when 30 somethings pepper every conversation with it, it gets old…and when EVERYTIME they refer to having sex as f***ing, it isn’t sexy, it is juvenile…there is a story here, Olive is a great character, and Sean and Olive together have the potential for a fantastic love story, but when they don’t act their age, it gets lost in the verbiage…
