He makes me crave the dark heat he promises.
To frolic in the lust behind his eyes.
But life isn’t a fairy tale, and things aren’t always as they seem.
This Prince is the devil in disguise. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
And I just found out I’m the lamb.
His ulterior motives, his secrets, scream run.
But every fiery night whispers stay.
Can a fallen angel become my guardian?
Can forever exist with a man like Gabriel?
My monster, my protector, my Not-So Prince Charming.

Not So Prince Charming is the second book in the Dirty Fairy Tale series and it will blow your socks off! Gabe and Izzy take you on a suspenseful ride full of drama, steam and so much more. I loved it and can’t wait for the next book! I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.
To say Isabella “Izzy” Turner has had a rough life would be a severe understatement. When mystery man, Gabriel “Gabe” Jackson shows up Izzy struggles with letting anyone help her. But when she finds herself in danger Gabe is eager to protect her. This was a well written rollercoaster ride. With a storyline that was intense, funny, sweet, steamy and suspenseful. A fantastic read that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

3 1/2 stars because I really don’t know how to sum up my feelings on this book. I wanted to love it, I really really wanted to love it, but in the end it just fell short in my mind. I can only give Not So Price Charming 3 ½ stars unfortunately.
Gabe is called the fallen angel, a hitman that is hired to kill Isabella but falls for her instead. Now I didn’t read the first book in the Dirty Fairytales series (Beauty and the Billionaire) so I don’t know if that somehow affects how I interpreted this book, as far as I can tell only the main characters repeat in both but I could be mistaken.
Anyway, the storyline was written pretty well, I just felt there was too much filler paragraphs and conversations that lent nothing to the story. Its almost like they are added for word count not storyline progression. I really didn’t feel like I got to the meat of the story as to why exactly he was sent to kill her. There was some alluding to things but nothing that made me say, “Oh now here we go, that’s why”.
There was family backstory that could’ve been dived into a little more, in my opinion, with both Gabe and Bella. I felt like we got a taste of how their backgrounds affect them but not quite as much as I think could’ve been divulged.
I enjoyed the characters of Gabe and Isabella very much, and what little I got to read of Tommy and Mia. The secondary characters at the Gravy Train were hysterical and should be in every book plus Vash the cat. I have a few other books by the author in my TBR, this won’t sway me from reading them, and I may have to read the first book in this series to see if it makes a difference. I read and reviewed an advance reader copy without obligations. All opinions expressed are my own.
This was a great second book in the Dirty Fairy Tale series by Ms Landish. In this book we learn of what Izzy is up against since we last saw her in Beauty And the Billionaire. She help her bestie Mia and her man Thomas and now because of her involvement she has caught the attention of Blackwell the man who is out to get Thomas. Blackwell has hired Gabe to go after Izzy. Gabe is a dark and dangerous man who because of his past has done some terrible things. As the story unfolds Gabe soon realizes he cannot do what is being asked of him by Blackwell. Soon he finds himself falling for his “Bella” and trying to find a way out of the contract he has with Blackwell. He maybe a Fallen Angel but even he has his own set of morals he goes by. This is a wonderful story filled with danger, mystery and action packed. The chemistry between Gable and Izzy; who he has chosen to call Bella is so intense. Bella is a woman who is strong and wants to do things on her own. She may not want help from her two best friends but she will accept it from Gabe. The two share a similar background growing up. They both need one another in some way and are stronger together. Blackwell is a man you will just love to hate and who has you wondering how he can be the way he is. We haven’t seen the last of him. This maybe a series but each book has it’s own HEA for the couples involved with the underlying threat to each of them. I cannot wait to see what happens next with Bella and Mia’s friend Charlotte!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Gabe and Izzy will take you through a maze of villains that will have you saying this is not your ordinary fairy tale! Gabe is smitten with Izzy. She makes him want to be a better man but he was hired to do a job. Will his feelings get in the way causing endangerment for both him and Izzy. This story is filled with action, romance and drama that will draw you into the story. You feel like you are right there with the characters absorbing the pulse of the story.

I really enjoyed this book and loved Gabe and Isabella! I loved the suspense and danger mixed with hot steamy romance – I couldn’t put it down! This is the second book in the dirty fairy tales series and even though it is a stand alone, I would recommend reading the first one. You will understand all of the characters better. I can’t wait to see what Blackwell will try do next…

Don’t forget to breathe. That is what I kept telling myself as I read chapter after chapter of Bella and Gabe’s saga.
Disclaimer: I had to put the book down for a while, as I felt like I was not ready for a story wherein the hero, Gabe, was paid to kill Bella, the heroine, more so when I felt both of their individual struggles in life. How Bella, who, if not for her friends Mia and Charlotte, felt that she was all alone in the world, that she had no one else to turn to for help in the multitude of problems that she was facing on a daily basis. How Gabe, in his grief at losing his brother, took up the life of a gun-for-hire so that he can search for, and exact revenge, on his brother’s killers.
Now that I have finally finished the book, I can tell you, dear reader, that Not So Prince Charming is so much worth reading to the end. I cried. I felt so bad for Gabe, seeing his conflict, how he saw Bella for who she really was, his light, his partner.
I even thought that–oh no, Lauren Landish, this author whose stories I have come to love, will be giving me heartache at the end. But no, thank God, for I would have written her a “what the hell” note if that did happen!
Two take-aways: redemption and hope, as seen in Gabe and Bella’s eyes.
Where Gabe thought that he will forever be deprived of salvation, his actions, the man who loved his brother, and girl who gave him her trust–tells us that even at the point of no return, if we but reach out, one last time, in whatever or wherever pit in life we find ourselves in, we can crawl out and become better than we were before, if we but believe in ourselves, and the goodness in others.
Hope, that like Bella, even when faced with a bleak future, she blindly trusted someone else to hold her up. And so should we. No matter how bad a situation we find ourselves in, it only takes for us to trust that everything will fall into place–however hard or long that journey may take–everything will be bigger, brighter, better.
So, Lauren Landish did it again, and I can’t wait for the conclusion to her Dirty Fairy Tales.

ONE EXTREMELY INTENSE EXPERIENCE!!!
Holy Sheet! Crapola! Talk about mind blowing, jaw dropping, duck and run. You ain’t met nothing until you hit it here. This is one enthralling storyline with an explosive plot that rocks this read from the git-go. A whirlwind of emotions and events that will shake you to the core. Lauren’s on one of those take no prisoners attitude and it totally brings this little shocker bursting to life beautifully. A whirlwind of emotions and events that will shake you to the core. This bad boy lures you in so deep with all the trials and tribulations along with it’s throng of revelations really brings this baby together spectacularly. Throw in all the drama and suspense and you have one intense, electrifying tale that captures your attention from start to finish. The characters are complex, impressive and so realistic with such depth and originality its easy to relate. The scenes are written with such realism theres no trouble interpreting each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Spectacular job Lauren, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
What can I say but WOW! Lauren is totally at the top of her game with this one, absolutely one that you cannot put down.
There are not too many more bad things that life could throw at Isabella, or so you would think, until Blackwell a ruthless businessman puts a hit out on her. Gabe is the man hired for the job. After meticulously researching his prey he is unable to discover what possible reason there could be for Blackwell to want Isabella killed.
Isabella has nothing but her cat and her best friends. She works her fingers to the bone at a local diner making enough money to see her through school so she can better her life and to keep her drug addicted landlord off of her back.
The more Gabe searches for a reason to kill Isabella the more he begins to admire and be attracted to her. Isabella meets him when he comes into the diner and is instantly attracted to him. This is when a usual love story becomes a very thrilling mystery as they discover more about each other and why Isabella is a target.
This story is totally “unputdownable” an exciting thriller with unexpected twists and some very hot love scenes and I have to admit that I was not expecting that ending.
It’s probably a good idea to read the first book in this series, but I really didn’t find it a problem to enjoy this book without the background of the first one.
I recommend this book if you are looking for something a bit different from the usual and I hope there will be a book three.
Wildfire-hot romance with edge-of-your-seat action!
Izzy and Gabe have a lot of chemistry, but more than that there’s a bond that holds them together when it looks like everything in the world is keeping them apart. This was a truly captivating story, lots of intense moments and surprise revelations. I devoured this in one sitting, leaving me with a huge book hangover. This is the kind of book that demands the reader’s full attention and provides a thrilling literary escape that ends with a beautiful HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Oh wow is this book really intriguing and super hot. It has all the makings of a true crime but with a lot of hotness too. Gabe is a hired hot man. Before he take a job he makes sure that his victims are deserving of being murder. He only does bad people. When he is hired to do his next job he can’t find anything that Isabella could have done. She is hard working and always takes care of people. She goes to college and works crazy hours. So why would she deserve to be killed. He will get to the bottom of it.
Gabe is hired to eliminate Izzy, for an unknown reason. He watches her and has done his research on her. He’s very drawn to her, and protects her. Very good book, well written!

GABE AND BELLA MAY BE MY NEW FAVORITE COUPLE
Gabriel Jackson is a ruthless hit man and one of the best….Isabella Turner is his next contract…..Mr. Blackwell, the most powerful and evil man in town has hired Gabe to kill Isabella to screw with a business rival…(although business rivals is a tame reference for the dynamic between Thomas Goldstone and Mr. Blackwell)…..Gabe always does his research and never kills innocents, but Mr. Blackwell has something Gabe has been searching for since his brother was murdered years ago…..
Isabella Turner has been kicked in the teeth by life!!! Period!!! Yet, she continues to carry herself with pride and works harder than anyone her age should have to never depending on anyone but herself… and now, Mr. Blackwell wants her dead to upset Thomas Goldstone’s wife, Mia, who is also Izzy’s best friend….That’s as far as I’m going with the story….
Although NOT SO PRINCE CHARMING can be read as a stand-alone, it is actually a sequel to BEAUTY & THE BILLIONAIRE…..and we get to see Mia Karakova and Thomas Goldstone as they have continued their lives together…(and I pictured Jonny James as Gabe….look at the book cover…it’s is SO easy)…. You need to read both books….I love them both..
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Gabriel is a hit man hired by Blackwell to kill Isabella (izzy) a student and waitress at the gravy train by watching her he knows she is innocent and her land Lord is causing problems so now he needs to protect her as he trying to figure out his feelings towards her. Awesome story
CAN’T READ FAST ENOUGH!!!
OMG! I love me some Bad Boys and this one gives me the one I didn’t know I had been yearning for. Explosive head turning read that I could not devour fast enough with a non-stop bundle of nail-biting suspense filled with intoxicating hot chemistry that kept me in a lust filled gaze squirming in my seat bonded by excitement and arousal. Unexpected twists with a flurry of emotions that that hit with an impact that at times rattled me and took some time to shake the hold they had over me. A fantastic well written read that I highly recommend.
A Dirty Fairytale; full of espionage, killer instincts, dark forces, passion, sizzling connections like no other and a blood pumping storyline with characters who you cannot help but fall for more and more for as the deeply seeded story swiftly moves along weaving its tale around your heart.
Fanfreakingtastic.
Gabriel may not be the most charming of men, but he is one dark Prince of deliciousness who can come to my rescue any day! His contract is Isabella, but the bit of conscience he still possesses knows something about this hit is off, digging further into the job he finds himself wanting more time with his target and less time with his employer…
Isabella, a stubborn, not used to expecting help women has herself caught up in a whirlwind of sinking debt, college driven, working massive hours, sleep-deprived state to one day succeed in accomplishing her dreams- while none the wiser to the danger that lurks behind her, Gabriel is her saving grace… or is he?
What a captivating read! Dark and stormy, with so much heat I swear I could feel the zing coming off the pages of my Kindle! Gabriel and Bella’s story floors me! Lauren Landish outdid herself! My fellow readers you will want to read this one!
While this fantastic romance is a stand alone, I highly suggest checking out Thomas and Mia’s account in “Beauty And The Billionaire,” as well.
I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!
This book 2 in the Dirty Fairy Tale series, I couldn’t put it down till end, We first meet Izzy and Gabe in Beauty And the Billionaire which i recommend read to get who all the players are, They meet at Gravy Train because he hired to kill Izzy, When Gabe see’s Izzy he starting to second guessing why Blackwell wants to kill her. There chemistry was off the charts plus they have a deeper connection form the loss they both suffered at a young age. This story full of danger, suspense, passion, love plus the twists and turns along the way for them. Want more well you just have to get and read there story in full because my lips are sealed. I voluntarily read an advanced copy, Loved it Lauren
In order to get the complete comprehension of this story you will need to read the first book ( Beauty and the Billionaire) in the Dirty Fairy Tales series.
Isabella “Izzy” Turner is the best friend with Mia and lives in Roseboro where she attends college to become a graphic designer during the day and works extremely hard as a waitress in the evenings and weekends. She lives paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet and lives on a very strict budget. Izzy is sweet, innocent, intelligent and independent. Izzy association with Mia and Thomas of the Goldstone Corporations makes her a target for his rivals.
Gabriel “Fallen Angel” Jackson is a hitman and seeking revenge on his brother death. He is contracted to perform a hit on Izzy for information on his brother killer. Therefore after meeting and investigation into Izzy past, he found that she is just a pawn in his contractor game. Gabe determined to protect her at all cost from evil predator like himself.
This is a well written story which had me hooked and anguished till the end. It was a so gritty, emotional and intense. I’m waiting for the next book and hoping Blackstone receives his due destruction. This is a must read series!

I really enjoyed Beauty and the Billionaire but Lauren Landish has outdone herself with this book!! Gabriel and Isabella are perfectly written, compelling, heartbreaking characters. I loved both of their struggles, his with revenge and her’s with independence.I loved how their “family” was built on love, respect, and common struggles rather than blood. The book moves quickly and was a great read from start to finish. Can’t wait for the next book and for Blackwell to get what he deserves…what a nasty villain!!
