Intense. Riveting. Emotional. Suspenseful. Addictive. Dark. Complex. This story has one shocking surprise after another. This book brings it ALL! Truly a MUST for your TBR list!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
(4.5)What a ride, my heart would speed up, stutter and race off again. Intrigue, mystery, thriller. I enjoy the Tess Novels, watching her grow. I am as always trying to figure out the culprit and rarely do!
Unravel the code or die!
The serial killer leaves a cryptic message carved into the bodies of his victims. He has finally made a mistake and the victim is alive to talk about it, but she won’t be for long if agent Tess Winnett can’t decipher the clues.
The story is short but the plot is riveting and the action is non-stop. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. I wanted more!
NONE OF THE ABOVE – COULD LITERALLY NOT CHECK 1 OF THE DESCRIPTIONS ABOVE.
What happened to this author? I loved all her books, this series and the Vegas series. I bought this book so excited to read her again.
WHAT A COMPLETE AND UTTER LET DOWN. The story line was contrived. Her character seemed so shallow now and just plain MEMEME.
What started out good quickly escalated into NOTHING. You never got a feel for any of it.
then IT ENDED…literally reading along and BOOM epilogue tying up nothing. This at its best is nothing but a short story with nothing to say.
I BOUGHT 2 AT THE SAME TIME..so stuck reading the 6th in this series.
WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO SEND OUT A GOOD SERIES AND CHARACTER.
Shame on you Ms. Wolfe. Your character deserved better even if you did not feel your fans did.
Love the boldness of Tess
Tess Winnett, FBI, is on the hunt for a serial killer called the Word Killer. The killer cuts words in the flesh of his victims. The killer is killing women that have wealthy boyfriends and then goes after the boyfriends. Another page turning thriller in this series.
It has been a while since I read a Leslie Wolfe book. I had forgotten how good they really are. You are drawn in and held until the very end. Thank you Ms Wolfe
This short story opens up to a scene that is a woman’s worst nightmare. A serial killer has found her and she knows she is dead or is she. This story is the ideal length for when you have a doctor’s appointment and you know you’ll have to wait.
Tess is an FBI Agent who has 100% clear rate for the cases she has been assigned. This case was not hers but it fell into her lap anyway. What to do? Her boss told her to stay away from this case or she may lose her job.
A surprising twist in this interesting story
