Not over you, is the third book in the Prosperity Ranch series. I would give it 3.75 stars. The story is about Knox, who is a bull rider on the rodeo circuit, and Jana, who was his high school sweetheart. Because of many misunderstandings, they had broken up and moved on in other directions. But Knox came back into town for the local rodeo and they ran into each other… and the rest is history. I feel like that was the just of the story. There was a lot of physical attraction and kissing (all clean and wholesome) but the storyline a bit shallow. It was still a sweet, easy, fun read, it just didn’t linger in my mind. I love so many of this authors books, it’s really hard for me to write this review. It definitely is a story, that needed to be told, for this series. I hope I was just having an off day, and everyone else loves it.
Knox Prosper is a grade-A, self-absorbed jerk. At least that’s the impression we’ve gotten of him in the first two books of the Prosperity Ranch series by Heather B. Moore. And through the eyes of Evie, Jenna came off as a mean girl. With those two endorsements, I wasn’t sure about this third book featuring these two.
However, Moore pulls it off. Readers immediately see a softer side of Jenna, and Knox has already taken steps down the road of making amends.
Not Over You is a story of second chances—not only in love but in life. Through Jenna and Knox, Moore delivers the message that it’s never too late to right wrongs of the past and to forge new and stronger relationships. And she does all that while giving us a romance to root for.
Disclosure statement: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
I started this book with apprehension. The first two books in the Prosperity Ranch series do not paint either of the main characters in the best light. Knox is the cheating ex-husband that put his rodeo career ahead of his wife and daughter, and Jana was portrayed as a bullying, mean girl; but I chose to push what I already knew about the characters aside and read this volume with fresh eyes and no bias. I’m glad I did and gave this book a chance.
This ended up being my favorite volume in the series thus far. I am a sucker for a good redemption story and Not Over You delivers the perfect second chance story. From the beginning you can see that Knox is trying so hard, and you can’t help but love him for that, and I think Jana’s previous bullying stems from her deep insecurities, and not from a mean spirit. The chemistry these two high school sweethearts have is electric despite their time apart, and it is a joy to see both of them grow together into better versions of themselves.
The whole “my ex is married to my brother’ situation is still cringy, but luckily the focus is more on mending the brother’s relationship and putting the focus where it should be – on sweet, innocent Ruby.
It was nice to be back in Prosper, TX despite the messy lives of the inhabitants. It is truly a sweet read, with wonderfully realistic writing full of forgiveness and redemption.
Though this can be read as a standalone, I would highly suggest reading One Summer Day. It is my least favorite in the series, but it gives you the entire backstory so you can truly see the depth of character and how amazing the transformation, especially in Knox, truly is.
I’m always impressed when an author can write many, many books and multiple series and still have characters whose voices are fresh and not clones of each other, with only a different name, in a different place. Heather B. Moore manages to deliver a beautiful story that warmed my heart and soul with its wonderfully flawed characters and potent second chance romance.
Rodeo bad boy, Knox, is back in town and is finally ready to face his future head-on. I loved how he knows he can’t change the past, but he can be a new man going forward, and his determination to make amends with his high school girlfriend, Jana, stole the show. I coudln’t get enough of their interactions and their personalities, insecurities, and feelings were vividly portrayed on the pages in a way that brought them to life.
This charming Texas town of Prosper has rooted itself deep within me and each book builds upon the foundation of this small town and its wonderful citizens. I love a good story of redemption, second chances, and a spicy clean romance to spin my spurs, and this one achieves all that and more. Prosper–I’ll be back and I can’t wait!
Content: mild + romance (kissing, innuendo, talk of past infidelities); mild language

Heather B. Moore’s third book in her Prosperity Ranch series, Not Over You, is a lovely and heartwarming story of forgiveness and second chances. I really enjoyed reading more about Jana and Knox after catching glimpses of them in previous books in the series. I love it when good characters face hard things and overcome them. Their sweet and clean second chance love story had a wonderful and well-deserved ending. Great story!
I have now read all three books in the Prosperity Ranch series and I have greatly enjoyed them all. I have loved getting to know the Prosper family, their ranch, triumphs and struggles over the past three books.
This story focuses on Knox-the prodigal son as he comes back to town to face the people he wronged and had left behind. I enjoyed reading about his personal growth and his friendship with Jana. I loved all the characters and really liked Jana’s courage and how she dealt with her family.
Quick, easy reading-really enjoyed! Clean, contemporary fiction full of laughter, tears, regrets, forgiveness and love.
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
I’m not a fan of the bad boy type, but am always up for a good redemption story. Knox plays the part of the cheating ex-husband in the first book, but by the second book he had started to make amends to his family, so it was gratifying to see the rest of his journey to becoming a better man. The author did a great job of making his transformation genuine and sincere, while still staying true to his personality. Knox has so many regrets, but the one person he feels wronged by is Jana. I loved their reconciliation and the revealing of unknown secrets that caused the rift between them so many years before. I think I would have struggled with being as forgiving as Jana, and I admired her compassion and understanding, without trying to excuse or justify. They have a strong chemistry which quickly reignited their romantic relationship, and they are easy together, able to be their true selves. Small-town gossip, strained family relationships, and trust come into play to challenge their happiness, and I was rooting for them to stay strong and find solutions to their challenges together. A wonderful addition to the Prosperity Ranch series! This book can easily be read on its own but I recommend reading the series in order if you can to better understand the background between Knox and his family.

Hello, Knox. Star of this third book in the Prosperity Ranch series and without a doubt, the person in this family with the most drama swirling around him. Knox has made a TON of mistakes and he knows it. Now he is trying to make amends with his family, his community and Jana. Knox is seeking redemption and forgiveness.
I’ve really enjoyed seeing Knox change and grow over the length of the series. In book one, he really doesn’t give you much to hope for. He’s at the bottom of the barrel so to speak but by the end of that book, there is a smidgen of hope. I love how far Knox comes in this book because now that he’s in it for redemption, there’s no turning back. Knox works hard to set wrongs to right and he works hard to gain forgiveness from others and even himself. Combine that with the second chance at first love with the sweetest Jana and you have yourself a good, satisfying story. My favorite of the series so far, I think.
I’m enjoying the Prosper family and looking forward to the next book!
Content: mention of infidelity, sex outside of marriage without any details. Kissing.

I love this small town. I haven’t liked Knox terribly much up to this point but I really enjoyed this redemption story!
This series is one of my current favorites! I love the little town of Prosper, Texas. And the people in it too.
This one is about Jana and Knox. It’s a second chance type romance. I loved that there were misconceptions about both of these characters, both on their part and on the part of the reader. I felt like they both had kind of a bad reputation from the main characters of some of the other books. This book helped that a ton.
Jana is one of my favorite characters I’ve read lately. She’s down to earth and kind. And she ended up trapped in the small town of Prosper making the jam that her parents sell. I don’t think she minded that, per se. But she has other dreams she’s working towards. I love that you get to see a different side of her.
Then there’s Knox. Knox was the absentee dad of Ruby in One Summer Day. I felt like the reader got to know him so much better in this book. And he’s not really a terrible dad or a terrible guy. I loved that! His and Jana’s rekindling of their relationship was sweet and perfect for them. Even when her family tried to get in the way.
I loved this book and can’t wait for more in the series!
I was sent an e-copy of Not Over You as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
I loved this book!!!
(This review is full of spoilers)
If Jana hadn’t been portrayed as such a mean girl in the book previous to this one, I might have warmed up to her and her insecurities sooner. That said, insecure people do sometimes lash out and bully. But it made it difficult to like her as a protagonist, knowing that she’d been a bully to Knox’s sister.
Knox is trying to put his life together and is succeeding, but the awkwardness, set up in the first book; that of his ex-wife being married to his brother, is messy with no resolution happening. Ever. Sharing his child with them will be fine, but in most divorces the people have a little more space from each other. This one never will. They will have to be awkwardly together forever. Especially while Ruby is a little girl.
Anyway, it’s a good romance, if very physical, and the two of them overcome barriers together. Her dad and the weird ‘my brother is married to my ex’ stuff is dealt with and readers are given hope that it will all work out.
I like that Jana apologizes to Evie, but the last book described things that weren’t explained away in this one. The garbage in the locker was explained, the tripping her as she came into the classroom was explained, but the bumping into Evie in the hallways and making her drop her books and the dismissive way she treated Evie at Racoon’s in the book before this, just left so much hanging. As a reader, I needed Evie and Jana to have a sit-down, private heart-to-heart, not simply a few words at an arena concession stand.
Regardless, this book reflected that life can be messy and HEA’s can happen regardless of that messiness.
Well-written and sweet. Despite what I’ve written above, I really did enjoy this book! It wasn’t your typical fantasy-esque romance, it was more like a reality romance. But it was romantic and had the promise of a lasting HEA.
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
Not Over You is the third installment from Heather B Moore’s Prosperity Ranch series. It is, also, probably among my favorites written by her. I adored this story. Knox and Jana had great chemistry and loved them in scenes together. It was predictable to read but oh so delightful to read.
I am giving Not Over You five plus stars. I recommend this book, as well as, the other books from the Prosperity Ranch series. I loved it!
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Heather writes raw emotion and fear, along side hope, redemption and new beginnings.
Miscommunication tore Jana and Knox apart in high school. This event sent Knox into a funnel of choices that were not the best. And Jana left behind wondering what happened.
Knox is the Prosper brother that doesn’t fit in and has caused so many problems. When his ex-wife married his brother, he realized he needed to clean up his life. I love seeing this story play out! This is the prime example of seeing there are two sides to every story. I was cheering for Knox and loved seeing him make good choices. And also repairing multiple relationships.
Jana is a sweet girl, trying to write her novel and bottle endless jars of jam for her family business. I love watching her disdain for Knox change when she takes the high road and stops to help him. Sometimes people just need time together and clear communication.
Knox and Jena’s story is quite dysfunctional! Knox was a mess and a player – but he had reformed. Jena had always felt rejected by her parents. And looking at the way her parents reacted and the things her dad did – oh my!
There is sweet romance and plenty of conflict. It is a fun story.
I was given a copy of this book. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
This is a Bad Boy turn good troupe romance and I loved it. Knox lost everything, his wife and child, due to his drinking and infidelity. Majors changes are made, such as counseling and sobriety. He gets a second with his high school sweetheart when he returns to compete in the hometown rodeo,
This is a beautifully written story with well-developed characters and continuity thorough out the series. I highly recommend this story and the series.
I didn’t think I would like a story about Knox as much as I did. He needed a story of redemption and this was the perfect one for him. I loved the second chance nature of the story. Jana and Knox are perfect for each other, I’m so glad they got a happily ever after.
I think this latest Prosperity Ranch Book is my favorite. I haven’t really cared for Knox Prosper in the previous books, and I’m glad we finally get his story. Knox’s story is not only one of a second-chance at love, but a story of redemption for past choices. Knox hasn’t previously made the best decisions regarding his life choices–he was selfish and only thought of himself and what he wanted. Recently Nash has realized what his choices have cost him, and he’s made some remarkable changes in his life which has put him on the road to reconciling with his family.
We’d only seen a glimpse of Jana Harris in the previous books when she’d hang out with Barb and Patsy at Raccoon’s. I’m glad we get to know her better and find out she’s responsible and works hard. Jana was hurt by Knox when he married Macie and still hasn’t gotten over him, although it’s been years and he doesn’t live in Prosper anymore. Jana’s not prepared to run into Knox on her way to the store, but giving him a ride leads to a hard conversation which clears up misconceptions and misunderstandings that have hung over the couple’s heads since high school. I think my favorite part was Knox wanting Jana to read her novel to him. How sweet and supportive was that?!!
Who doesn’t love a second-chance-at-love story? I liked Jana right away, and I like Knox a lot better now, that he’s taken responsibility for all of his bad decisions and he’s truly trying his best to be a good man. I liked how Knox’s family welcomed Jana, unlike Jana’s parents (especially her father).
This is part of the Prosperity Ranch series and I’d recommend reading One Summer Day before reading this one so you understand how Knox was and what happened before.
Knox knows what it’s like to hit bottom. He’s made changes, but some things can’t be undone. And even though regrets still exist, he’s determined to move forward as a better man. While on a trip home to visit his daughter and compete in the rodeo, he runs into Jana Harris. Yet another regret in his life. But, this time, he intends to learn answers to what happened so many years ago.
Jana knows Knox is in town and still wonders what went wrong between them years ago. Yet, when she encounters him trying to repair his broken down truck, she can’t just abandon him. Can she move past the awkwardness and extend the olive branch? Maybe she’ll learn some answers.
What follows is a second chance romance that wades through some pretty deep stuff. The story exposes the consequences that occur from false rumors and poor choices. It also covers the damage revenge and bitterness can cause. Fortunately, Knox and Jana are seeking truth and openness and in so doing uncover many hidden secrets that were doing more harm.
All in all it’s a good story, somewhat bittersweet in places, but good nonetheless. The romance felt a bit rushed, but it’s understandable considering their past. I also liked how other relationships were restored as well.
Romance – steamy PG / lots of kissing
Language – PG
My rating – 5 stars
