Book Review
Title: Not Her Daddy
Author: Darcy Dawes
Genre: Romance
Rating: *****
Review: This is the first book I have read by Darcy Dawes and we are introduced to Daniel who has become a dad after his sister lost custody of his nephew and he isn’t adjusted perfectly to his new lifestyle. Being a publishing executive means that Daniel also has to work full-time and ends up hiring a live-in nanny called Natalie. Natalie is a 19-year-old college student looking to make some extra cash over the summer and this babysitting job seems perfect for her. She instantly makes a connection with little Wyatt, but Daniel is also immediately attracted to this girl nearly 20 years younger than him and he knows he is in trouble.
The pair realise pretty soon that living together for three months is going to take a toll on them. Both are immensely attracted to each other, but both try to keep their distance even if it is obviously to any but them. Natalie also seems to harbour a daddy obsession after never having one of her own or a stable father figure and she almost called Daniel dad with minutes of meeting him. As the weeks pass by the pair find it harder to keep their hands off each other and when they eventually cross that line they are almost caught by Wyatt but neither seem to care.
As we cross into the second half of the novel, Daniel and Natalie are now in a relationship and working on her daddy issues together in a way they have wanted since she moved in with Daniel and Wyatt. However, there is trouble in paradise as Natalie’s brother is battling cancer and they don’t have enough money to pay for the treatment despite Natalie sending money over as soon as she earns it and she agrees to return home and leave Daniel, although I have a feeling that Daniel isn’t going to let her leave that easily.
When Natalie tells Daniel she is quitting and moving home because of her brother he offers to pay for the treatment, so she doesn’t leave which was extremely insensitive and he doesn’t realise his mistake until Wyatt says that he misses her and wants to see her. Daniel obviously agrees because he wants to see her too, but he also contacts an author who has written several book on specialist cancer care in the hopes of finding some help for Natalie’s brother.
The ending of Not Her Daddy was actually very emotional given the type of novel that this book is. I found Daniel’s apology to be sincere and heartfelt and the way he went about funding Dean’s treatment was thoughtful and sensitive and provided everything that both families needed at that moment in time.
After agreeing to help care for his nephew Wyatt while his sister is in for mental health treatment, Daniel attempts to juggle a heavy workload and his nephew’s well -being when he decides to hire a nanny. After receiving a recommendation from his nephew’s preschool, Daniel and Wyatt meet Natalie, a young college student looking to make extra money for tuition. Little does Daniel know, Natalie doesn’t really need the money for school but to help her mother with covering her brother’s medical expenses. As Daniel and Natalie spend time together, they can’t avoid the attraction nor the love that is starting to blossom. As the reasons be what they mean for why they are altogether, there’s no denying that they are a family unit.

This is a solid read – a quick, entertaining and pretty hot older man/younger woman romance. It is quite a page turner and easily read in one sitting. The characters are likeable and the chemistry between them is instant, potent and off the charts. Quite an enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.

This older man / younger woman romance is a fun quick read that I finished in one sitting. The female lead seemed more mature than the male even though he was twenty years her senior. The story contained some hot scenes and was an enjoyable read.
Loved this storyline! Natalie goes to Daniels house to be a live-in nanny to his nephew Wyatt for the summer. Daniel falls for her and wants to be her daddy in the bedroom. Would’ve been 5 star, but left too many questions hanging for me.
Daniel is raising his nephew until his sister is well enough to do it on her own. He needs a nanny so he can also work. Natalie comes highly recommended and he knows that she’ll be a blessing to his family. Natalie is stunned when she meets Daniel and gets nervous about being around him. Sparks fly the minute they shook hands. Natalie fits in well with them and its not long before things heat up between them and they have sex. However a family emergency separates them before they even start. Can they find their way back to each other?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

As said in the review title, this story is short and fun to read. It is actually quite a good romance with some life tragedies added to it to make it better.

In this book we meet Natalie Jones and Daniel Farthing. Daniel never planned on being a dad he was a typical workaholic. But when his twin sister got sick he knew he couldn’t let his nephew end up in the system. When Wyatt’s preschool recommended a nanny that could help take the pressure off him for the summer at least then he could look into something more permanent. However one look at Natalie and he knew he was in for trouble. Natalie has never been one of those girls who parties all the time or really at all. So when she gets her first look at Daniel she knows her job just got a whole lot harder. Can these two find the HEA they didn’t know they were looking for or will it all blow up in both of their faces?
This is not a taboo book it is about a nanny how find fulfillment in a particular kink. This book does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Dean has just gotten custody of his nephew and is way over his head. When the nursery school suggested a nanny, Dean felt offended but that quickly changed when he couldn’t cope. When Natalie came to the house and he first saw her, the first thing he felt was lust and the second was that he’s in trouble because he was quite attracted to her. When an offhand comment was made, things became interesting. This story of power exchange and older man younger woman romance will keep you turning the pages un til the very last one.
