“Not By Sight gripped me from the first page. It was well written, heartwarming, and evocative-everything I’ve come to expect from novel by Kay Lyons Stockham.”

Can you love someone and still be free?
Emma Wyatt agrees to tutor a recently blinded, embittered soldier because of the $50,000 paycheck his brother offers. The … $50,000 paycheck his brother offers. The job is an answer to many prayers. Blind herself, Emma dreams of independence and freedom away from her overprotective family. Tutoring Ian in all things “blind” isn’t easy, especially when the biggest challenge is helping him walk by faith.
Protect someone you cannot see?
Good soldiers show no weakness. Ian MacGregor holds his battle with claustrophobia close to his chest, unsuccessfully trying to cope on his own, too angry with God to seek comfort. Ian knows duty, honor, serving his country. So why is he being punished with this very personalized hell?
As Ian struggles to strong-arm his phobia and let go of his anger, his growing feelings for Emma are overshadowed by the danger lurking around them. Emma would be better off with someone else. Someone sighted.
Someone able to protect her from the person determined to keep them apart…

Great insight into dealing with losing sight and impact on who you are. Gets quite convoluted. A little lengthy. Has sequels for other characters. Romantic but not sex scenes
Really enjoyed this book. Couldn’t put it down
This was a lovely romance but with a few twists that made a difference. Well written with great characters.
Great story
Loved the story line.
I so enjoyed this original story and couldn’t stop til I reached the last page!
This book was a decent story. I just felt as if it drone on too long. I liked Emma more than Ian. If the story was paced better perhaps I would’ve enjoyed it more. I did, however loved the Christian aspect of this story and how God, faith and love was a focus in this story. It’s a very clean story I just wished it was paced better especially when it came to light that Genie was behind all the wrong doing.
really enjoyed the storyline and made me think about the challenges of being blind
This whole series is really great and I highly recommend.
Great characters, had to get all of them. Very very good.
I really enjoyed this book. Great story line.
I like the characters but the story is very slow paced.
New situations. Well done.
a member of my family is blind. This book was right on the money
This book had me in tears – good ones. The inner struggles of the two main characters are excellently portrayed. I enjoyed the “evil” Genny as well.
Enjoyed the book so much will buy the next one in the series. Characters were great, looking forward to reading more in the series.
New world I had never thought much about until my own vision started to decline. Very encouraging and thought provoking.
Great positive twist as well as wonderful incite about determination can overcome .
Highly recommend. Great read!!!!
Two blind people find each other. It’s a love story as well as an inspiring story of how disabilities can disable a person entirely or simply put a glitch in a person’s life. It also proves that a physical disability does not make a person emotionally less than anyone else.
God does miracles in a way we least expect. Shows the adaptability of people and
the love of people.
