From USA Today Bestselling author Khardine Gray, comes a bad boy romance you’ll want to devour. She was on a mission to lose her V card and he was the high school bully who just entered a bet to make her his for one night. Cole Our coach is incredibly superstitious. He truly believed it was because he found a four-leaf clover why The Centaurs won the Super Bowl two years in a row. I could live with … Centaurs won the Super Bowl two years in a row.
I could live with that.
What I can’t live with are his other rules.
After being traded to the Centaurs, I’m warned never to have sex the night before the opening game.
Coach’s orders my teammates dare me to break by dragging me into a bet with the girl who used to follow me around in high school like a lovesick puppy.
This should be very easy.
Vanessa wanted me then, there’s no way she can resist me now.
The little lovesick puppy is now a gorgeous babe and I’m willing to
partake – because I’m not superstitious.
Vanessa
Sure, I want to lose my v- card.
But not to him.
He had his chance and blew it.
I just wished my brain could sync with my stupid heart and warn it away from Cole Buchanan.
He was bad news in high school, and ten years hasn’t changed him one bit.
The point is: STAY AWAY from him.
Find someone more deserving of me.
It would be so much easier, however, to heed my own advice if the man would leave me alone.
The worse thing is, the more he chases the harder he becomes to resist.
The quicker I forget he’s the poster boy for sin.
If you like hot, steamy, romance with gorgeous, drool-worthy bad boys you will love this book. Dive in now for some fun.

I love this series by Khardine. Each book has been enjoyable. Although this book was a little slow in the beginning, the story was worth it. Even though I didn’t care for Cole and his attitude, it was still a pretty great book. If you’ve read the previous books, you’ll definitely enjoy this one.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
When the premise of the story is that the lead female is want to give up her v-card, you know there is going to be humor and angst involved. Vanessa had intended not to have sex, but one thing after another has led to this point in her life. After seeing all of her sisters antics, she’s decided it’s time for her to finally have sex. But with who?
Cole has been Vanessa’s crush since high school. He was the school bully and treated many people horribly – including Vanessa and her cousin Gage.
Now Vanessa has been charged with writing an article with Cole. But will she be able to resist her attraction to him? And is there more to Cole than meets the eye? This was my favorite story of this series.
Khardine Gray never disappoints and Not Before Game Night is well- written with a depictive plot and genuine characters. Cole and Vanessa have a past. He’s the bully who targeted her any chance he had all the way back to middle school. His constant attention, even negative attention, gave Vanessa the idea that he might be attracted to her. She decided to offer him her virginity but it ended in heartbreak. Now, she and Cole are back in each others’ lives again and she hasn’t forgotten that night. What she doesn’t know is that Cole had valid reasons for telling her no. Her family owns the Centaurs football team and Cole has just been acquired in trade. It’s her job to interview each Centaur for the magazine her mother has created to get to know the players. She’s not thrilled when her first assignment is to interview Cole. He remembers her as the girl who was smitten with him, but he hurt, and wants to atone for what he did. He is determined to make up for his high school behavior and the man he used to be. Vanessa’s father is highly superstitious and makes one strict rule as the coach of the team. He believes the myth that sex hinders performance on the field, so his players can’t have sex the night before a game. His teammates see what’s going on with Cole and Vanessa and bet him that he can’t get Vanessa to go to bed with him. This time, she rejects him but he won’t give up. There are secrets from his past that have caused him a lot of pain and shaped his behavior. Vanessa, too, has been affected by what happened with him and, as a result, she doesn’t think that any man could be attracted to her. It’s going to take much more than an apology to bring about a reconciliation and allow them to build a new relationship. As their story goes on, it’s obvious that they make each other better people when they’re together. The ending is sweet and it’s nice to see that everyone gets just what they deserved!
This was a fun spin on a second chance. Once upon a time, Vanessa had a crush on the school bully. Cole crushed those girlish dreams when he turned her down. This book is essentially the story of what happens when they stop saying “no” to one another. Of course, in true Shakespearean fashion, the course of true love never did run smooth. Both Vanessa and Cole get in their heads and create extra obstacles for themselves. But I loved watching them overcome the scars from their pasts to be better together than either one of them was on their own. The epilogue was utterly precious.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
I love this series and I love that Vanessa finally gets her story!! Cole was Vanessa’s high school crush, the one she made herself vulnerable for, the one who crushed her heart. She never knew the real reason of why he did it, and years later she still can’t help but want him. Cole has been traded to the Centaurs and finds out about the coach’s odd rule…no sex before game night. He has been know to be a player and he doesn’t deny it, it helps his image. His teammates see him lusting after the forbidden one…Vanessa…and bet him that he can’t her to sleep with him before the game. Cole has never stopped thinking about Vanessa and agrees to to the bet, only to shut the guys up. He wants more than one night with her, he just has to get her to talk to him! I love their back story, the tension and passion that is there now, and how they truly get to know each other and the passion that has never died. Such a good story!!!
Playboy Bully or Prince Charming
Not Before Game Night (Bad Boy Bachelors of Orange County Book 4) by Khardine Gray is another wonderfully well written bad boy romance by this author with beautifully tragic characters with depth and pull your heartstrings plot.
Vanessa and Cole have a second chance of sorts; in their youth, Vanessa was the shy wallflower while Cole was the brash and bold bully who never let an opportunity go by to poke fun at Vanessa. Smitten, Vanessa overlooks his bullying flaws until he makes a brutal choice. As with most bullies, Cole is hiding his true feelings, personality and pain with his bad behavior both as a young man and even into adulthood. Vanessa allows her experience to shape her interactions with men, avoiding anything real, lasting or meaningful.
These two go on a journey together where they shy away from any real communication about anything to do with feelings or commitment which in and of itself is a problem, however it blows up in Cole’s face before he can do anything about it.
Overall, a very well written and emotionally charged romance with a sweetheart heroine and an irreverent, charming, swoon-worthy alpha that absolutely redeems himself in the end creating the happiest of HEAs.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
I was totally engaged from the very beginning with the good character and storyline development of this story that I read in one sitting!
