Desperate to escape agonizing memories of Christmas past, twenty-nine-year-old widow Megan Snow builds a snow family outside the mountain cabin she once shared with her husband, realizing too late that she’s recreated the very thing she’ll never have. Called to life by Megan’s tears, snow god Owen Winters appears unconscious on her doorstep in the midst of a raging blizzard. As she nurses him to … to health, Owen finds unexpected solace in her company and unimagined pleasure in the warmth of her body, and vows to win her heart for a chance at humanity. Megan is drawn to Owen’s mismatched eyes, otherworldly masculinity, and enthusiasm for the littlest things. But this Christmas miracle comes with an expiration—before the snow melts and the temperature rises, Megan must let go of her widow’s grief and learn to trust love again, or she’ll lose Owen forever.

“3.5 out of 5 stars! After just reading a few chapters of “North of Need” it reminded me of the movie Jack Frost, even though this book has a different story line, I think it was the whole snowman-coming-to-life thing that made me think it. Anyway …
This is a wonderful book!! Also…”

this was a sweet and different story line. i really appreciate the combination of mythology and present day characters.
I really loved this story. The characters were great. I read the book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. It was a really feel good read.
A great twist to a great Christmas story and a new look at super natural story. Making this a wonderful read.
The last thing Megan Snow expected when she decided to stay in her mountain cabin is to find an unconscious man on her doorstep. Called to life by Megan’s tears, snow god Owen Winters is determined to help Megan live again.
It’s been years since I read this series so I figured it was time for a reread, especially since I can’t remember what …
In the first Hearts of the Anemoi series, Megan Snow is spending Christmas alone at her snowed-in mountain cabin. It’s the second anniversary of her beloved husband’s death, and she’s miserable, unable to move on with her life. In an effort to distract herself from the pain, she builds a family of snow people, in particular a snowman with …
It is not easy getting over one’s grief for a loved one, particularly when guilt is part of the emotional mix. It bothered me to see how quickly Megan was able to let Owen into her life but his interface with her John’s spirit was a nice touch. Still a sweet read, suitable for any woman wanting a book boyfriend.
True love
I loved this story, it had love, loss, adventure and a lot of feelings.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of good dialogues
The chemistry between Megan and Owen is coming through from the beginning.
The storyline progresses nicely to a happy ending
If you like love stories with a twist I recommend this book.
5 stars
The whole series is elemental, that will blow your mind. I will never think of a storm the same way.
Loved the book
One of the most original plots I have read in a while!
Not sure why but I just couldn’t get into this book, in fact, I didn’t finish it, which is rare for me. The characters, particularly the hero is sweet, and I know it’s a paranormal book but the way the hero is different was too unrealistic to me; I had a hard time imagining how the relationship would work out given who the hero was and what his …
Unique premise, well written. Awesome read!
Megan is dealing with the loss of her husband on the anniversary of his death. Grieving, guilt ridden, alone she struggles to endure. When Owen appears at her door she fights the attraction unwilling to suffer any more pain. Not willing to believe in happiness.
This book broke my heart, then …
It’s nice mind candy. Easy to read fluff that’s entertaining.
Loved it. Want to keep in my library!

It’s a quick and flirty love story about a girl and her snowman turned hot lover. A nice light afternoon read with a happily ever after ending.
A story that could have been sweet and fun was made disgusting by focusing on sex, not love.
Cute.
Great book loved reading it
