Can two enemies find love after a rocky start?TJ hoped the Triple J Ranch would be a fresh start under a new name, with his tarnished family reputation behind him. He didn’t count on the young, spirited Colby provoking him at every turn. But when tempers boil over, TJ discovers that Colby’s disgust with him is more like lust, and that he’d do just about anything to tangle with the confused kitten. confused kitten.
Colby likes everyone, but something about the new, unfriendly cowboy on the crew gets under his skin. He doesn’t understand just how worked up TJ has him until his body reacts, shocking them both. Colby’s never been with a man, but he can’t fight the desire TJ’s rough hands have awakened in him.
It’s just physical, an opportunity to indulge Colby’s secret desires. But the young ranch hand’s innocence softens something inside TJ, and he can’t deny he wants more. He’s nobody’s groom, but could he be Colby’s love — or will his lies come between them?
Nobody’s Groom is a Marital Bliss novella. It can stand alone, but is best read after Wrangling a Groom due to overlapping events that may contain spoilers.

Some sexy submission and a man discovering a new part of himself. Bisexual awakening, Cowboys and family drama – as well as a man overcoming his past.
Nobody’s Groom is a novella in the Marital Bliss series and overlaps with Wrangling a Groom. This book can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading the first two books in the series for maximum enjoyment.
TJ is trying to outrun his past and start again. His family is a mess and he needs to find a place of his own where he can stand on his own two feet and not try to keep his balance in the crumbling mess that’s become of his old home. Colby is a young ranch hand who never has trouble making friends, that is, until TJ starts working at the ranch. There’s something about TJ that Colby can’t shake, and at first Colby chalks it up to TJ’s stoic and unfriendly manner. But soon, sparks fly and the chemistry between TJ and Colby is undeniable. Now Colby must navigate new feelings as he comes to terms with being bisexual, all the while, TJ struggles with feeling worthy of the love that’s blooming between him and Colby.
This short novella was a joy to read. I fell in love with Colby in Wrangling a Groom and was excited to see his story told. He’s a delightful character and watching his relationship grow with TJ was sweet and lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to the next Marital Bliss book.
Colby and TJ’s story was wonderfully written! They were perfect for each other!! Absolutely loved their story and the overlapping stories from the previous 2 in the series. DJ Jamison has turned into one of my favorite authors. I absolutely recommend this book, you will not be disappointed!
It’s hot and getting hotter on the Triple J Ranch…. In this novella featuring characters that first appeared in Wrangling a Groom, TJ and Colby start out as oil and water from the get-go, and quickly progress to gasoline and matches… This is a side story from the Marital Bliss series that you will not want to miss! I love the whole series to date!
Wonderfully sweet – and hot! – love story. It was a great comfort read for me.
I really enjoyed this book from D.J. Jamison. This is actually my 1st book from her and I don’t plan for it to be my last. I enjoyed that I could jump into this story without reading book 2 Wrangling A Groom. I really enjoyed TJ’s and Colby relationship and the discovery of their mutual attraction was hot!!
I cant wait to read more from D.J.
I really liked the first book “Wrangling A Groom,” so I was pretty excited to give this book a try! Bi-sexual awakening and GFY are two of my favorite tropes so I really enjoyed how well the author handled this.
This story picks up from the ending of Wrangling A Groom, on Triple J Ranch. Colby is young, but has worked on the ranch for years and gets along with everyone…except TJ, the new guy. TJ keeps his head down, mouth shut and does his work. He is hiding secrets and Colby is distrustful, and TJ drives him crazy. But when they get in close quarters things have a way of certainly heating up!
I didn’t mind this book, it just wasn’t one of my all time favorites. I felt like it moved too slow and there was some conflict but not a lot and it often could have just been explained through effective means of communication, rather then the characters not confronting each other about their issues. I loved the couple in this novel, they are really cute together. If you’re looking for a hot cowboy read this book is for you!
I really enjoyed getting to know TJ and Colby more. I enjoyed following them as they start of sniping at each other but slowly the chemistry gets them. Though TJ thinks he’s not good enough for Colby especially when his past is discovered.
What a wonderfully hot addition to this series! I love Colby and TJ’s story, full of surprises, heat, and deep emotion. Their love story is one of the steamiest, yet heartwarmingly sweet takes on the “tormented grouchy one falling for the sunshiny one” trope I’ve read so far. Even if only a novella, the story is well plotted and the characters road to self-discovery, acceptance and love never feels rushed. Colby and TJ are both captivatingly complex characters and it was such fun to finally get to know them better, after the promising glimpses of both of them in Wrangling a Groom. And of course, returning to the Triple J and reconnecting with some of the other beloved characters in this series was amazing too. Recommend!
I love the way DJ Jamison brought the characters together. Not quite enemies to lovers. Colby is outgoing, where as TJ likes to stay under the radar. The Sparks fly once TJ lets his guard down with Colby. Story was equal parts romance & hot sex. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book for an honest opinion*
You need to read the previous book, Wrangling A Groom. The start of the tension-filled interactions between TJ and Colby starts there. But as you read, the tension morphs into so much more. After all, love and hate are the two sides of a coin. This story has some angst, self-doubt, and a lot of personal growth. Watching the relationship grow between TJ and Colby is a beautiful thing to read.
Loved this story. As always, great characters and a storyline that keeps you turning the pages. I can’t wait for the next in this series.
I loved so much this series! Every book featured a wonderful love story and how the characters overcame obstacles and more to be together. Now the story of TJ and Colby is sweet and endearing showing us how even after all the revelations and surprises, love is just enough. An amazing reading!!
This shorter story from the series is really good! The characters in this installment are full of deep emotions that pulled me in from the get go. I recommend reading it after Wrangling a groom. I loved reading it and it totally upholds the feel of the whole series.
What happens at the ranch…
I think I need to visit more ranches and barns. They’re the places to be. “You’re everything I’ll ever need.” TJ is a surprising and wonderful contradiction and Colby is snarky and too cute for words. I love them so much and want to hug them nonstop. “Easier isn’t always better.” Truer words; Colby and TJ clash and their journey isn’t easy but what a wonderful, winding road they take together. It’s hot, sweet, deliciously dirty and full of unwavering love. A fantastic romance that will make you purr with happiness.
This is a beautifully written story with wonderful characters that really should be read after Wrangling A Groom, which is also fabulous. TJ is the new guy on the ranch. He’s quite, keeps his head down, is hard working and has gotten under Colby’s skin. Colby may be young but there’s just something about TJ that makes him want to explore a side of himself he didn’t know existed. I love their banter back and forth and I love TJ’s nickname for Colby, it seems fitting. They really are good for each other.
This is an amazing series, I highly recommend it, and I can’t wait for more.
*I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
This story had so much potential but somehow the outcome just wasn’t satisfactory. Too much happens in so little time, there are many issues that just needed more pages to be fully developed and the feelings between TJ and Colby went from lust to eternal commitment just too quickly for my liking. It was a quick read and I finished it in an afternoon; enjoyable but no masterpiece.
I loved this story!
I am super fond of DJ Jamison’s novella length stories and Nobody’s Groom is a really good one. TJ and Colby had sparks flying off each other in Wrangling a Groom so I was very happy when she decided to give them their own book.
If you haven’t read Wrangling a Groom yet I think that DJ has done a good job of making this one stand on its own pretty well. In Nobody’s Groom we find out about TJ’s background and why he keeps to himself and is a bit defensive about things.
Colby doesn’t want to be attracted to TJ but he just can’t seem to help himself. He’s always thought he was straight but the way TJ makes him feel has him re-evaluating that. When TJ and Colby are together boy does the sexy time get hot as fire! DJ said this is her hottest book yet and I agree.
I love epilogues and the one for this story is so good. It gives us a glimpse of what Colby and TJ are up to several months after they officially become a couple. I think DJ Jamison has a winner with this story!
