“Outrageous, heartwarming, wonderfully sensual…I loved it!”—Jayne Anne Krentz“For sheer fun, nobody beats Nobody’s Baby But Mine.” —Detroit Free PressThe Minneapolis Star-Tribune writes, “Next to Tracy and Hepburn, no one does romantic comedy better than Susan Elizabeth Phillips.” For proof, you need to look no further than Nobody’s Baby But Mine. This classic comic love story from perennial New … Mine. This classic comic love story from perennial New York Times bestseller Phillips unites a beautiful, brainy scientist desperate to be a mom with a brawny, smoking hot jock who, though handsome enough to father her child, is nowhere near as stupid as she wants her baby’s daddy to be. Emily Giffin, Jane Green, and Rachel Gibson fans take note: when it comes to delivering delightfully funny, supremely sexy contemporary women’s fiction, nobody but nobody is better than Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

I laughed so much I had to set the book down. This is a great romance novel which transports you away from the problems of the world. It is a feel good book with enjoyable characters and a happy ending.
Great book definitely a page turnerank. It’s not your normal romance at all and really entertaining.
It was delightful. I laugh ed out loud as well as smiled through reading it. The characters were superb and their pithy conversations were delightfully full of humor. All of her books are also written with wonderful dialogue and adorable characters’ reactions. Much better than anything that T.V. has to offer.
This is one of the feel-good books I reach for when I’ve had a stressful day, and just want something to make me smile.
Loved it!
I love this author
Very entertaining and different. Was an easy read and enjoyed the characters.
This novel is truly the author’s best ever. I have my own copy and recommend it to everyone I meet. I met the author around fifteen years ago at a dinner in her honor held through North Texas Romance Writers. She came and sat with each table throughout the event and chatted.
Have read this book twice. Whenever I see one of her books, I know I am in for a wonderful read.
Lots of emotions, great characters and a good ending.
Another great tale by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
Very entertaining!
I liked the idea of a modern family today. I liked the reasoning behind choosing a partner.
I loved it.
Really enjoyed this book!!!
Full of of laughs!!!loved the main characters!!!Cal was great!!!
Love her books!!!always make you laugh!!!
Okay, so I’m officially in the midst of a SEP binge…oy vay. Three books in ten days. Not good for my own writing, but I can’t seem to stop myself, although I’m going to force myself not to start another one for at least a couple of weeks!
Now that this is my third book, I feel as though I’m starting to be able to understand what I enjoy about SEP’s writing. She creates situations and characters that in the hands of a less talented writer would come off as outlandish, but in her capable grasp come off as endearingly sweet and funny. This book is my favorite of her three that I’ve read so far, featuring the brilliant physicist Jane Darlington and the (surprisingly brilliant) hillbilly quarterback Cal Bonner. A secondary romance between Cal’s parents was just as sweet and surprising as the primary romance, which I now recognize as a theme from book 2 of the Chicago Star series.
One other note about SEP (I know this reads more like a book report than a review…), but I tend to prefer series that feature the same characters (like my own series BECKONED) to the kind that are standalones, however, SEP is the first “series standalone” author I’ve read who puts her characters through so many twists and turns that I’m actually satisfied at the end of her books. Usually, when I fall in love with characters I’m left with an sad emptiness that there won’t be more books about them, however, at the end of this book I was so relieved/satisfied that the couple had their HEA.
“3.5 out of 5 stars. I love this series! And by reading the description at first I wasn’t sure I would like it. However, I was happily mistaken! “Nobody’s Baby But Mine” was…”

She is one of my favorite authors.
Anything by Susan Elizabeth Phillips is going to be fantastic. You can never go wrong.
Really enjoyed reading this book! Susan does a great job with character building in her story lines.
