THE CONCLUSION IS HERE…
It’s the past and the future.
They’ve collided.
I’m in the middle, expected to make a decision.
My perfect life isn’t really all that perfect.
The handsome man holding my hand finally allows us to open our pasts to one other.
His secrets hurt.
My love for someone else hurts even more.
That someone waits for me, just the way he’s always done.
He’s kept …
My love for someone else hurts even more.
That someone waits for me, just the way he’s always done.
He’s kept all our memories to remind me of what we once had… and lost.
I cannot wait any longer.
As I walk into my forever, I realize there can be nobody else.
The 2nd book to the Duet series and it is as good as the 1st if not better!
They story is a bit drawn out and slow. It is the first book of a duet and I haven’t read the conclusion for this reason. Perhaps I will read book 2 when my curiosity gets the better of me.
Absolutely loved this book I read it in 1 day. Brice and kinsley finally find each other one again this time forever
The conclusion of Kinsley, Ben, and Brice’s story. In order to fully appreciate this one, you MUST read ‘Somebody Else’.
Well edited.
At the conclusion of ‘Somebody Else’, Ben threw a ‘Hail Mary’ to try and save his relationship with Kinsley. Caught off guard, she agrees to wear his ring, although she is adamant that it is not an engagement ring. However, as we all know, when friends and strangers see a ring, they assume. The explanation is too much, so assumptions tend to stand.
As much as Brice wants to fight for Kinsley, he comes to a place where he just can’t anymore. The pain, the conflict, the guilt, and continual roller coaster of emotion on everyone finally comes to a head. Brice realizes he must wait Kinlsey out and learn to live with whatever she decides.
Ben tries. He makes plans. He meets a bump, and makes more plans. He tries to be patient, but he just wants to move to the future. He shares the pain in his past, but continues to make the very mistakes that he made in the past. One more deal will make everything right. One. More. Deal.
The cracks continue to break the Perfect Life into pieces. What will be left? Where will Kinsley’s heart lead?
I really appreciated how Jaxson gave us a resolution for all parties in the end. Acknowledging that everyone handles grief differently… I still want to hug Brice. I still want Kinsley to face her loss and stop breaking everyone’s heart. And, I still want to tell Ben to stop focusing on the deal and pay attention to the people in his life. Enjoy
Nobody Else and Somebody Else are most definitely Jaxson’s best writing to date. Brice and Kinsley’s story is so brutally real and raw, and so melancholy. I know I always go on and on about how much Jaxson rips my heart out when I review his stuff, but it’s just so true, and nowhere is that more true than in this duet. I could feel Jaxson’s heart bleeding out of my Kindle all through this entire duet, but I think it resonated most with me here in the conclusion. There are so many demons haunting this couple, if only they could just get on the same page, maybe they could heal each other, healing they both desperately need and never really got when they were together previously.
I won’t spoil what happens, so just let me say this: Brice and Kinsley’s story will kick you in the gut, shred your heart, but maybe, just maybe, you’ll have a smile on your face at the end of it. Thank you Jaxson for once again laying your heart bare for us all to read and love. I can’t wait for your next heartbreaking story!
A book about redemption and passion with all of the raw emotion we have grown to expect from this author. It’s a realistic look at a love triangle, no sugarcoating the angst, hurt and guilt of all parties. Time for sharing their secrets and honesty has arrived.
I’m going to take a step back and give Kinsley the time she needs to sort through things. She has a decision to make the perfectly planned life with Ben or should she live the spontaneous life with Brice! I’d say by the size of the ring on her finger she has definitely made her choice. I can’t believe she’d choose him I’ll just have to get on with my life the best way I can.
Nobody Else is the second book in this amazing duet centered around Kinsley’s love for both Ben and Brice. Nobody Else picks up right where Somebody Else left off and threw me right back into a massive storm of emotions. I was happy and sad and mad and hurt. I have never wanted to turn to the back of a book so badly to see what happens, but this book made me want to!
This book is really worth all of the stars possible. I became so invested with these three that when I finished this book I was sad that there was going to be no more of them. It was an absolute beautiful ending to the Kinsley/Ben/Brice saga.
