In March of 2002, while the eyes of the world focused on Afghanistan, Jack Noble finds himself on the outskirts of Baghdad, Iraq. A Marine in name only, Jack is on-loan to the CIA. Normally an integral part of the team, he finds that he is nothing more than a security detail in Iraq.
Jack and his partner Bear have a run-in with four CIA special agents over the treatment of an Iraqi family. … family. Within hours Jack and Bear are detained.
All Jack wanted was to finish his enlistment and move on with his life. All he did was intervene and save a family from unwarranted violence at the hands of four CIA agents. But he soon discovers that he did far more than intervene. He has placed himself dead square in the middle of a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of the U.S. government.
This fast-paced political crime thriller by USA Today bestselling author L.T. Ryan will leave you burning through the pages as Jack races to stop the conspiracy before it claims his life.

Where it all started. Jack Noble. L.T. Ryan
Spellbinding start to an incredible series. On par with today’s top covert operations/espionage/military thriller writers.
The first book starring LT Ryan’s Jack Noble is a page turner if I have ever read one. I devoured Noble Beginnings in two sittings.
Jack Noble lives up to his surname. He’s a good-hearted man hemmed in by cynics and bad actors, and he’s not afraid to fight his way out.
Noble Beginnings by L.T. Ryan was my first Jack Noble tale. Where have I been? This is a great first read that sets the stage of two guys in Iraq. Jack Noble and his partner ‘Bear’ are US Marines assigned to work with the CIA. Suffice to say they are more or less doublecrossed and are suddenly on their own. Noble seems quite a bit like a James …
Jack Noble is in the Marine Corps, but in name only. Officially, he is on loan to the CIA and is tasked with providing security for CIA agents when they “visit and interrogate” Iraqis suspected of aiding the enemy. Jack and his fellow Marine, Bear butt heads with four CIA agents over the aggressive treatment of an Iraqi family. Only hours later …
I enjoyed the 2 prequels, so I was looking forward to this book. I found I was forcing myself to keep reading. Even treating it as pure escapist reading so I could ignore the weapon and tactical gaffs, I still had to fight past the ridiculous parts of the story.
Great introduction to the characters Jack Noble and Riley ‘Bear’ Logan. A new Jack Reacher! It will leave you asking for more.
L.T. Ryan seems to be push out the books. I think the covers are great and he has a load of fans for his style. For me, It needs a little work. sorry. I’m going to see if i read one later in the series if it get tighter. I’m sure it will.
I enjoyed the action, the friendship of Bear, the suspense and tension, however, I never got a sense of why it all happened. Other than some nondescript political wrangling and perhaps a bit of greed, nothing really hit home as cause and effect.
Of course, the ending set up the second book, which I expected, and I may give it a read at some …
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Noble Beginnings . It’s a well written book guaranteed to keep you anxiously hturning pages
I’m still not sure why this book kept going. It’s strange. I need someone to explain from the beginning what is the point of this book..
These are a great series of books, waiting for the next one to come out.
A page turner as all of them are in the series!
Fantastic action and read.
Promoted as a Jack Reacher type character, but the lead character, the plotting, the writing fall far short of Reacher/Child. Not recommended.
Fast paced none stopped action. Would have rated a five if there was more character development. Felt like author kept rushing forward without giving readers much background about the people. Will read more by this author and hope to learn more about each character.
great readlng
I never quite finished the book. I just got tired of all the fist fights and wandering plot. It’s not the best of this genre.
