The Sixth Borough Private Investigation (SBPI) has been formed and Noah Thompson is its newest member. Along with the help of his partner, Quinn, and his colleagues Calem and Jesse, he’s vowed to dismantle The Network, the shadow organization responsible for trafficking women throughout the five boroughs.Noah is at a time of transition in his life: a former NYPD Special Victims Unit detective … detective turned private investigator, he’s a man looking to fulfill the promise he made to himself years ago to make a difference in people’s lives. Frustrated by a lack of cases and no leads on The Network, he encounters a young woman, seemingly by accident, while stumbling his way through the world of online dating.
Enter Eliza: she’s a mysterious and beautiful woman who’s dealing with the trauma of a terrible crime that was perpetrated against her a year ago. Resilient, tough, and intriguing, Eliza is a woman on a mission, one that Noah will inadvertently join her on.
A happily ever after contemporary romance series with each book set in a different borough, the New York City’s Finest series follows the interconnected lives and loves of five NYPD officers. The events of book 4 take place in the Bronx, with the final book, Riley, taking place on Staten Island.

The whole New York City’s Finest series is such a great, quick read. Taking you through the boroughs with these alpha men who want to help, to fix, to save. These characters make you wish the world around you was like this family of men are. Each man has his own story but the big picture story when you finish all the books warms your heart and gives you hope that there are chivalrous men out there still.
This author just keeps getting better and better, and is quickly becoming a favourite of mine!
Noah is book 4 in this series, and although I am certain I said Quinn was my absolute fav, it is definitely Noah now…well I guess till the next book!!
The characters are well defined and the storyline is fast moving with plenty of action…wink wink, of all types lol
This is one series you won’t want to miss!!
NOAH is book 3 of the New York City’s Finest series. I loved this book. With each book, this series just keeps getting better and better. Be sure of Mr. Nathan’s writing style, the characters in this book seem to come aluv. The story line will keep you turning page after page with all the hot scenes, humor, suspense and danger. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes to read suspense thrillers.
Noah knew at a young age that he wanted to help people and make them feel safe. He achieved this goal when he graduated from the Police Academy and joined the NYPD. He spent five years working in the Special Victims Unit, investigating cases of sexual assault and crimes against the disabled, the elderly and young children. He felt that he did make a difference in the lives of the victims that he saved, but there were always more to help, and that frustrated him. When he couldn’t deal with it anymore, he retired with no plans for the future except to continue his goal to save as many people as he could. He applied for a job with a private investigation agency and when he met his future boss, Quinn, he was certain that this was where he was supposed to be. Their first case was to find a woman who had been kidnapped by The Network, an organization involved in human trafficking. They were able to rescue her, but in the process, Noah was injured and almost died. After he recovered, Noah began spending a lot of time at the gym, regaining his strength. It was here that he first spotted Eliza, the woman that would change his life.
Eliza wakes up every morning wondering how she will make it through another day. Her nightmares are debilitating and she looks forward to the day that she can put her ordeal behind her. She writes in her journal every day, which helps to rid her mind of the demons that haunt her. She also goes to the gym where she can listen to music and work on healing her body. This is where she meets Noah and she is immediately attracted to him. She had seen him there before and she is thrilled that she finally got to talk to him. Eliza had noticed his NYPD duffle bag and she knew that he was the type of guy that she could confide in and who would keep her safe. She needs to be strong so she can go after the person who harmed her so he can never victimize anyone again.
Will Noah be able dismantle The Network and make the city safe once again? Can he be the one who will bring Elliza out of the darkness?
Will Eliza survive her confrontation with her abusers and will she let Noah into her life and take a chance on happiness?
Christopher Harlan’s New York City’s Finest Series is one of my favorites, and his latest book “Noah” is another excellent story about how all areas of law enforcement can work together to achieve a common goal. Noah is a quiet leader who painstakingly formulated a plan to stop The Network without knowing he was also helping Eliza to live again. I always look forward to the next book in this series, but unfortunately, the series will come to an end with Riley’s story, which takes place in Staten Island.
