NOAH
Navy SEAL Noah Coleman knows how to do two things well: underwater demolition and hand-to-hand combat. So renewing his enlistment is a no-brainer until he receives a message about his cousin’s aggressive terminal cancer. A quick trip home confirms the worst, which means his niece Bella will become his responsibility.
Elementary school guidance counselor Teagan Shaw has known Bella since her son announced the two were best friends. The shy little girl is also on Teagan’s radar because of Bella’s early signs of gifted aptitude. But Teagan is more concerned about the military man thrust into the role of single parent.
While Noah adjusts to civilian life and Eagle’s Ridge, he and Teagan begin forging a friendship. But Teagan has a secret, a shadowy figure from her past who is intent on returning to torment her.

5 Star Review of Noah (7 Brides For 7 Soldiers #6) by Cristin Harber
This book packs an emotional punch from the first page. Once a Seal always a Seal, or so Noah Coleman has always believed; that is until tragedy and an unexpected twist changes the course of his life forever.
When Noah’s cousin Lainey is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he finds out that she wants him to raise her daughter Bella, who will be an orphan once her mother dies.
Elementary school guidance councillor Teagan Shaw was not only a friend of Lainey’s but is the mother of Bella’s best friend Will. She loves Bella as if she were her own and has been helping look after her since Lainey died whilst Noah was on deployment.
Still reeling from Lainey’s death, Noah has returned to raise Bella and this is where the fun begins. When he meets Teagan and Will, he sees in them the love and friendship that they both have for Bella and when Teagan comes to his rescue with dinner on night one, he realises just how out of his depth and for a Navy Seal that is not acceptable. He has no idea how to raise a 5 year old, let alone one who is so gifted. Even though he has researched parenting blogs, reality still crashes in and he wonders if he can do this.
Teagan is wary of Noah’s abilities to care for Bella so their initial meeting is stilted. Despite themselves Noah and Teagan are attracted to each other. Will they act on the mutual chemistry which seems to sizzle when they are together, or will they deny the obvious?
The interaction between Noah and Bella touched my heart as well as the beautiful friendship that Bella has with Will which was absolutely heart warming.
This was an emotional read, bringing me to tears on occasion. The pain at coming to terms with both his and Bella’s loss of Lainey was palpable.
Well written, this is a story that will draw you in and keep you glued until the end.
Teagan is a school counselor, divorced with a five year old son. Noah is a underwater demolition expert for the Navy SEALS. He gets a call from his cousin that she is dying from cancer. So instead of re-enlisting he heads back home to raise his cousins little girl Bella. Bella is five years old, very intelligent and best friends with Teagan’s son Will. As Noah navigates his way through child raising, he learns that life doesn’t always go the way you planned. As he and Teagan get closer, someone from Teagans past has shown up and threatens her new future. Excellent story. I laughed and cried. So have Kleenex nearby. A little steamy and the brightest little girl I have ever read. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this after winning in a contest*
This book is book 6 in the Seven Brides for Seven Soldiers series. Each book is written by a different author. It absolutely can be read as a standalone book. In fact, it’s the only one of the series that I’ve read, and while I did find I wanted to learn everyone’s story, I didn’t feel like I had missed out on any important details in order to really follow this story.
I love Cristin’s Titan series. I’ve read them all. This book is very different from those books, so I hesitated momentarily on whether to read this or not. But hey… I really like her writing and had a hunch I wouldn’t be disappointed. I don’t get to say this often so I’ll say it now… I was right!!! I was NOT disappointed!
This book is set in the small town of Eagle’s Ridge. And it’s just like any small town you’d imagine. Gossip abounds, and each time a story is passed around, it grows and grows. But tragedy has struck, so Noah returns to civilian life, and to his hometown, to raise his cousin’s daughter after her untimely death. There he meets single mom, and guidance counselor, Teagan and they form a fast friendship…one that’s full of undeniable chemistry. When her past comes back to haunt her, Noah steps up to make sure she and her son are safe.
While the story begins on a hauntingly sad note, it’s actually quite lighthearted in some parts, unlike her Titan series. There are fun, funny, quirky characters that make up this town and you can’t help but fall in love with all the characters. Except for the evil ones. The relationship between Noah and Teagan is intense, but at the same time, they move a bit slow (compared to Titan novels), and that was a refreshing change of pace. It’s also got the suspense that keeps you turning the pages to see how it all ends.
This book is perfect for those that love contemporary romance but aren’t really a fan of military romance that Cristin is known for. However, Cristin’s Titan fans will be happy to know that her writing is just as great in this book as it is in her Titan books.
NICUnurse’s rating: I’m going to give this book a 4.75 star rating. The writing was very good, the characters relatable and likable (except for the villains who are hateable like they should be!). The story moved along very well, and it left you with just enough information on all the town’s characters that I want to read all seven books now!
Noah (7 Brides for 7 Soldiers, #6) by Cristin Harber this is a great series. This book has it all..friends, tears, laughter, fear, love, dealing with loss and steam.. Getting ready to read Ford’s story the last book.
Have a few tissues ready
This one get you crying just a little. Noah has to come after his cousin and best friend Lainey passed away from cancer and is going to raise her daughter Bella. Teagan was Lainey’s friend, and they kids were best friends, she is also a school counselor. But something seems to draw Noah & Teagan together.
I loved Noah he is one AWESOME uncle. When it came time to come home and take care of his niece Bella, he dropped everything and did just that. He is so out of his comfort zone yet he is willing to learn. Cristin Harber had me laughing at some of the things Noah did trying to take care of Bella, needless to say he went through a lot of growing pains. Teagan is very leery about Noah taking care of Bella and offers to help him however she can. In my opinion Cristin Harber did a good job of portraying Noah’s struggles with adapting to civilian life and with figuring out raising Bella. I thought Cristin Harber did a good job of throwing in suspense into the mix. The romance there and how it grew. I loved this book, Cristin Harber did not disappoint me. In my opinion this book was the best in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers Series.
I really liked this entry in the 7 brides for 7 soldiers series. Noah and Teagan were both navigating single parenthood and helped each other. Noah, being brand new at parenting Bella, the 5-year-old daughter of his best friend, needed more help from Teagan, but Noah was a good male role model for Will, Teagan’s son. They cautiously approached their relationship, keeping their kids foremost in their minds. The characters were well drawn, the kids added a great cuteness factor, a bit of mystery helped the relationship develop, and it has a very satisfying ending.
