“A brilliant and thought-provoking book that readers who love tales of time travel will find fascinating.” –Authors Reading
Christine Stewart is a regular woman just doing her job when she gets stranded in history. When she gets up for the day, her plan is simple: go to work, travel back in time to the year 1867 in Oklahoma to deport a cyber-criminal, then head back to her time in 2070 Los … head back to her time in 2070 Los Angeles and get ready to go on vacation with her son, Michael.
Then the system goes down and she—and dozens of other transporters around the world—are stranded in the past with minimal training and no supplies.
Just when she thinks things can’t get any more dangerous, she is cast further back in time and thousands of miles away.
As her goals shift from simply getting home to something much more dire to all of humanity, Christine must step outside of herself, work as part of a team, and ultimately make the choice between what it easy and what is right. Even if it costs her everything—including her one chance of ever getting home.

Imagine being stuck hundreds of years in the past with no possible way of getting home. In the year 2070, transporters accompany criminal to the past to serve out their sentences. While the criminal receives supplies the transporter does not as they are to return right away. Only something has gone wrong and Christine finds herself trapped in the past fighting to survive.
This is a fast paced time traveling adventure with interesting characters that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. The characters are personable complete with strengths and weaknesses making them seem more life like. The narrative is from the heroine’s point of view allowing access to her inner thoughts, emotions, motivations and actions. The descriptions of the historical settings were interesting. The storyline is smooth and filled with emotional drama, action, danger and suspense. I enjoyed this book and would like to read more from this author.

No Way Home is a sci-fi novel about a woman who accompanies cyber-criminals to an exile in a previous time period, usually returning to the year 2070 immediately afterward. However, on one such mission, a problem occurs, leaving her trapped in 1867 Oklahoma. Other adventures and challenges follow, including a trip farther back in time, which ultimately lead to a choice between proceeding with a risky operation or returning home.
The author has created a fast-paced adventure novel with believable and relatable characters, along with excellent descriptions of the settings. She has done an outstanding job of researching the different time periods and locations and used this skill to draw the reader solidly into the story. My one point of disbelief is in the use of cell phones and emails fifty years from now. The changes in technology over the last fifty years makes me think we will be somewhere else in 2070. That being said, time travel remains a popular concept, and Ms. Cooper-Burnett has certainly done it justice.
Sublime Line: “An action-packed time-travel adventure that will leave you thirsting for the sequel.”
Christy Cooper-Burnett’s introduction to the Christine Stewart Time Travel Adventures with No Way Home leaves readers with a sense of urgency. This urgency comes from the excellent action that takes place throughout the novel. This book gives you time travel in a fun yet exciting way. It truly is an adventure.
I award No Way Home a full 5 out of 5 stars. This series is full of action, the past, the future, and everything in between. The books are a good size for a weekend of reading. They aren’t too long, nor are they too short. The amount of stuff that happens on these pages will astound you.
I was given a copy of this book with a request for an honest review.
Very different time travel with unexpected twists. All the important elements Historical, Sci Fi, medical, romance, adventure and suspense. I wish there had been a few more historical details and a little more interaction between the local characters and time travelers. Hoping to read more by this author.
Do you like Looper? How about Michael Crichton’s Timeline or Blade Runner? If you’re looking for something else like those, I think this is the book for you.
In 2070 Los Angeles, Christine Stewart has an important job. It’s her duty to transport dangerous cyber criminals into another period in time where they can’t hurt anyone. On a routine transport to 1867 Oklahoma, she finds her transponder not working and has no way of returning home to her son. Burnett’s crafting of the events that follow, from Christine meeting other trapped transporters to avoiding being infected by the plague are top notch, and her descriptions of times past are immersive and, to aspiring historical fiction writers, enviable. From characters you will miss long after the reading of the last word to smart and timely discussions on global pandemics, and even a touch of romance, this book has something for everyone. I hope she has an idea for a sequel in the oven.
Interesting science fiction time travel story
Christine is a transporter and she travels back in time to the year 1897 to drop a convict there. Unfortunately, she is stranded there because of the malfunctioning transporter. She solves that and tries to travel back to her own time and again gets stranded in another era. How, she solves the problem forms the story.
The story was innovative and enjoyable as elements of science fiction were merged well with the story.
