Can a summer fling become the love of a lifetime? Perpetual good girl Caterina Longo is dependable to a fault. At 33, she’s never called in sick. Never had a one-night stand. Never taken a chance in her entire life. When she walks in on a cheating ex and sees everything wrong with her life, she takes off on a solo vacation, busting out of her comfort zone and into the arms of a guy she never saw … guy she never saw coming.
Joe Hunter has no room for distractions. Making his restaurant a success and proving his worth to his family—and himself—is his sole focus. At least it is until a beautiful stranger, in search of fried food and a shoulder, wanders in one night.
Is two weeks of unexpected, life-altering passion all they’re meant to share? What happens when vacation ends and real life takes over?

My favorite Stephanie Rose book yet!! I read this in one sitting and I already want more Joe & Cat!!
I relate so much to Cat – a workaholic who never takes time off from work. Cat is so devoted to her career that she doesn’t realize that life is happening all around her, without her until that one day that she comes home from work an hour early and catches her boyfriend with another woman. Her two best friends had finally talked her into taking a week long vacation with them. After walking in on Trent, she flees for the beach a few days early.
Joe owns the restaurant/bar directly across from the hotel that Cat is staying at. And for the two of them, the connection is instant. Their chemistry is off the charts, but despite that, they are like two pieces of puzzle that fit…..they found their home in each other.
After a magical week, what happens when the reality of vacation being over hits? Can they make a long distance relationship work? Is one willing to give up their job for the other?
“Those summer niiiiii – iigghhhhhts”
“Tell me more, tell me mooooore!!!”
I love the movie Grease but who knew references to the movie would further increase my enjoyment of a book? Not me. And yet, so it was proved in Stephanie Rose’s NO VACANCY. It’s an all-round enjoyable book. It’s sweet. It’s sincere. The steam factor is high. And you just want to jump right into the book and do what you can to make sure Caterina and Joe end up together.
It’s certainly not all sugar and lightness, because beyond this intense late-summer fling, we have a couple who make the decision to try a long distance relationship. I really enjoyed this aspect of the book. It was a time when both Caterina and Joe had to really dig deep to not only fight for their relationship, but it meant having to confront their own long-held attitudes about life issues.
As intense as some of the topics are, the book is written with a lightness that doesn’t mire it into a pool of angst. It’s always upbeat, uplifting and incredibly romantic.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
No Vacancy is a story of second chances and love. What better combination for the perfect romance to get lost in. This story is very heart warming, the perfect read to cuddle up in your favorite reading spot and just devour it.
This story is definitely a must read! Loved it!
This is a cute and fun read. Cat and Joe were easy to connect with. The story teaches that love and connections knows no time, when its right it’s right and no distance is too far to change that.
Cat had so many qualities about her that made her feel real. She’s hard working, she’s tough on herself but she’s also fun and witty. I loved that she wasn’t willing to just wallow in pity. Her relationship with her mom is typical.
Joe is a dirty talking, fun loving guy. I’ll get back to his dirty mouth but I wanna touch on how determined and caring he was. Every time Cat needed reassurance, Joe always knew how to comfort her. Now back to Joe’s dirty mouth, I couldn’t get enough of him , the things he said or did and boy did he do somethings with it
These two are hilariously funny. Their connection is instant and will keep you turning the pages. The secondary characters are also entertaining, my favorite is Dom. I liked his brassy attitude and fun banter with Joe.
This is a 4 star romantic swoon worthy kind of story. An insta connection at first sight.
Caterina and Joe have some great chemistry going on. A romantic story that flowed well and had me hooked from the beginning.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend this story.
Very enjoyable sexy swoony read. Like expected this author did not let me down.
This is the second book that I have read from Ms. Rose and I loved it just as much as the first book that I read. Joe and Caterina were so good together. The chemistry between them was off the charts hot. Insta-lust at its best. They didn’t fall in love right off the bat but they sure did fall in bed and it was hot. This story will keep you engaged and invested til the last page. You won’t want to put it down until you are able to see if Joe and Cat were able to get the HEA they both richly deserved.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
No Vacancy made me feel like sitting on the beach, glass in hand and devouring this charming book!!!
Caterina, I loved! I so felt for her and her reason for having to run away to the beach…she’s wonderful, so much heart, strong and someone didn’t appreciate her!
Holy cow did I love Joe! Manly, charming, sweet, sexy, ummm verbal, combustible…need I say more? Lol
Will just a week be enough to seal their bond? Will they continue after Cat has to leave?
Sometimes you’re lucky and love is like the breeze off the ocean. Strong, steady and leaves you feeling warm & fuzzy inside. Sometimes storms brew and love hurts just a little.
I adored this book, highly recommend
One thing I really love about this author — besides her amazing writing talent — is that all of her stories are interconnected in some way. For the longest time I had a strong sense that I felt like I knew Joe from somewhere and then it hit me when he was talking about his brother in law Owen (whom we got to see a little bit of!) that Bella is his sister, which means *drum roll!!* that Lucas and Samantha are his parents!! And the snippets that we saw of them made me so happy!!
Okay, now for the book: Caterina is a 34 year old workaholic who walked into her apartment to find her boyfriend in a comprising position. This sets off a fire in her she didn’t realize she had, and sets off for a vacation earlier than she planned on. On her first night, she stumbles into Joe’s resteraunt and the sparks fly from there. This story begs the question of whether there’s a timeframe where you can fall in love, and knowing if a few weeks together can turn into a lifetime of love. Spoiler alert: you totally can, and it does!
Joe is a 30 year old business owner (I love that he’s younger!!) And the moment he sees Caterina, he’s immediately enamoured with her. Noticing how sad she is, he is determined to make her as happy as he can during her stay. What starts off as easy conversation between two strangers turns into a night of passion that they can’t ignore. Joe knows he has something special with Cat, and even though she lives in New York, and he never wants to go back to the busy city life, will they be able keep their love alive?
I love everything this author writes, and this book was no different. Love doesn’t fit into a timeline, nor is it easy, but it’s always worth fighting for. These two amazing characters embody that sentiment, and I was so happy to see them get their happy ever after!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
If you’re looking for a sweet story with normal everyday people who prove that even everyday people have interesting lives this is the book for you. Yes, Stephanie knocked it out of the park with this story. Don’t get me wrong when I say sweet, it certainly doesn’t diminish the content. It just means it’s not over the top. These are people you could know. Everyone has a story and issues. What this book does is bring issues to the table that maybe affect you or someone you know. It brought to mind a phrase Ive heard often, “Stop and smell the roses”. Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to be the best we don’t actually live. We forget that today is “the present”. It’s the present we should give to ourselves or we might actually miss out on opportunities or seeing what’s in front of us.
No Vacancy is quite the title because it donates so much of what this book is about. Sometimes we need to make room for what’s really important. We need to open our hearts, take a chance, break free from ourselves and see why we’re doing what we’re doing.
Talk about wetting your appetite. This book will have you hungry in all kinds of ways. Joe is a buffet of everything you want in a boyfriend. I do mean everything! Caterina is having so much fun partaking of all he has to offer.
We also get to meet up with some of our favorites from previous books. That’s always a treat and this book is filled with treats.
I’m seriously hoping that we see a follow up book about Dominic and maybe get a little bit more on Caterina and Joe. Stephanie, please don’t make me wait too long. I’m already hungry for so much more!
No Vacancy is a heartwarming romance about second chances and finding love when you least expect it.
No Vacancy follows the story of Joe and Caterina. Caterina is the good girl. She works hard and never takes time for herself. She hopes that one day, all of her hard work would pay off. The one thing she never thought was that her hard work would cause her pain. When Caterina walks in on her longtime boyfriend cheating on her, her world gets turned completely upside down. For once, Caterina does something for herself. She leaves town and starts her much needed vacation early. For once, Caterina focuses on herself and the sky’s the limit…..Joe knows the importance of hard work. His business is his world and he doesn’t have time for distractions. That is until Caterina blows into town. A chance encounter with with this beautiful stranger knocks his world off its axis. Their connection is instant and life changing. Will these two become more than just a rebound or fling?? There’s only one way to find out….
No Vacancy is a heartwarming second chance romance. Caterina and Joe captured my heart from their very first encounter. I loved the ease of their connection and their instant chemistry. Joe and Caterina were drawn to one another like magnets. No matter how much they tried to fight it, no matter how many times they said their relationship was temporary, they could not stay from one another.
Caterina was such a sweet and hardworking woman. All she ever wanted to do was find success and make a name for herself, but somewhere along the way, she lost sight of what was important. The loss of her previous relationship was exactly what she needed to make her open her eyes and find a way to live again. I loved seeing her come alive with Joe. Joe was everything that she never knew she needed. He was driven just like she was. He had a huge heart. He was so sweet and swoon worthy. But, was a total alpha male in the bedroom. Together these two were the perfect match. Their chemistry was off the charts and kept me glued to the pages. It was so easy to get lost and swept up in these two.
No Vacancy is the perfect end of summer read. The characters were fun and easy to relate to. I loved watching Joe and Caterina fall in love and try to figure things out. Their story was sweet and I loved that there was little to no drama. In the end, this was a fabulous story to spend my day getting swept up in.
A wonderful hot read that will entice you from the first chapter! I so loved these authentic, real characters!! And omg the passion! Great job!
I love these characters, and most of all I love reading about children and siblings of previous characters. It brings everything into perspective. I always loved Owen and Bella’s story, so getting to read about them again was great. Joe and Caterina were no exception
I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author, because I love the way she writes and how she tells a story. Not many authors can do both. Sometimes you get words on a page, but to truly be able to expell your feelings about your characters in a way that makes them real is true talent. Joe and Caterina are worth reading about. I hope you like them as much as I did.
Stephanie Rose writes to-the-point romance and I really like it. It’s no-nonsense, adult romance that gets to the heart of the relationship and everything that goes along with it. Her Second Chances series (read it) sucked me in and No Vacancy has done the exact same thing.
Caterina Longo and Joe Hunter have that mutual first attraction. It’s so strong you feel it all over. Their chemistry is electric. Both characters had that pull, magnetism, it made you want to know them, share in their victories and console their sorrows. They are realistically human with fears and doubts, hopes and dreams.
It was easy to get lost in their story. It may have been insta-attraction but their growth and connection was undeniable and certainly life-changing. Their journey is incredible.
And may I just say Joe = swoon.
Just wow love at first chemistry thru the roof! Cat and joe have many obstacles but can they get thru it? This book had lots of heartwarming stuff as well as steamy scenes! It’s a must read!
This was the first book I’ve read by Stephanie Rose and most certainly wont be the last! Great characters, amazing storyline, lots of spice and all the feels! This book had me laughing out loud and tearing up.
I’m always a huge fan of spin-offs and so when I heard Stephanie Rose was writing a story about Lucas and Sam’s son, Joe, I couldn’t wait! And let me tell you, little Joey Hunter has definitely grown up! Even if you haven’t met Lucas and Sam from Always You yet, you can still enjoy No Vacancy as a standalone.
I really liked that there wasn’t a lot of drama and angst in this book. The issues and problems Joe and Catarina face are realistic and understandable. Things may start off because of instalust/instalove, but I appreciated that once they connect, Joe and Catarina really spend time getting to know each other. I never would have imagined that little Joey would be such a dirty talker, but I guess I really shouldn’t have been that surprised since Lucas is his father. LOL The cameos were a fun treat and it was great to see old favorites like Bella and OT also make appearances. I also liked that Catarina was older than Joe (even if it’s only 3 years) and that she worked to make and maintain her professional and personal dreams. I enjoyed meeting this new cast of characters in Ocean Cove and I’m excited to see that Dominic will be getting his own story in 2020. Fans of Stephanie Rose are sure to enjoy this sweet and sexy romance!
*I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*
Caterina is one lady who is lucky to have met Joe despite of her circumstances.
Sexy, steamy, I teared up a couple of times of the angst of these two finding about one another. Soo much swooning from Joe being Dirty Joe as well as Gentleman Joe.
I loved how Author Stephanie Rose brings us into the lives of these characters and how they are relatable to us in soo many ways.
I could picture everything vividly as I read this story of Caterina breaking out of her daily cycle of regular and Joe being the one to help her break it.
Joe is one hell of a persistent romantic guy who I wished was mine in real life.
He has his own insecurities and when he meets Caterina, they go out the window.
Enjoyed how both Joe & Caterina help each other realize that love can be instant & sexy with the right person if you let yourself go outside of the box.

5 popped!
I fell instantly in love with this sweet and sexy romance just like Joe and Caterina fell for each other! Cat leaves for vacation early after an encounter with her douchey ex. When she reaches her quaint beach town destination, she stops in a pub for something to eat. Joe can’t take his eyes off the sexy woman who walked in. Their connection is instantaneous as the sparks fly, and they spend a hot, passionate night together. This is so uncharacteristic for them both. They are so much alike in that they are consumed by their work, never making time for family, friends, or lovers. But there is something that cracks open both their hearts that is inexplicable. They can’t fight their magnetic pull and desire for each other. They spend 2 passion filled weeks having fun, and exploring everything about each other. But will that insta love and passion survive when the real world comes back into play? I love Joe and Caterina so much! They are so real, and honest and fit so perfectly together. I especially love Joe who is so swoony with how sweet, romantic and dirty he is! Joe’s friend, Dominic, was the bomb too, and I definitely hope to find out more about him! This was such a beautiful, fun, and captivating romance that warmed my heart and made me completely happy!
Joe and Caterina meet while she is on vacation and they have instant chemistry that they both realize is something special but deciding what to do with it isn’t easy. This was a sweet romance with a huge side of steam and low angst. I loved Joe. He was just swoony and gah, he excelled at the dirty talk! Caterina was a little wishy-washy for me at times but I could understand where it came from and ended up liking her. An enjoyable read!
